    Very thorough speed run mate. Anything around 50mph is more than enough for general bashing. 👍👍

      @rcreviews9894  2 года назад +2

      Yeah it was necessary lol, had to make sure I gave each truck a fair shot lol, I agree 50mph is plenty for a monster truck set up, the sledgehammer tires on the Maxx did not like that street! Kinda slippery but I made it work, I was really surprised with the handling of the Arrmas, they were much easier to control than I thought, I was worried about the Outcast! That thing is a wheelie machine! But again it handled better than expected 👍 thanks for watching brother!

    I will be going with the Kraton v2, I want the better handling over the Max.

      The Kraton is a excellent choice! The wider suspension and front and rear sway bars really helped in this run on the street! Anything 50 and up is a good speed too especially for a monster truck! I say go for it👍

    Great vid, all these trucks look like a blast. I'd say the tires definitely made the difference in handling. Wonder how they will do in an offroad speed test.

    Appreciate this video! Maxx v2 is my go too but agree that their wheels are for bashing only. Would be curious how these would handle street sweep road crusher wheels 🤔

      The Maxx v2 normally handles great on the street, for some reason it did not like this particular street, I think because of how it was made, it’s not your traditional black top or smooth concrete, I found that the sledgehammers couldn’t grip as well and made the truck kinda slide around especially when braking lol had a few wreck outs but nothing major, I made it work, thanks for watching 🤙

    Seems like a battery difference. But basically you gonna get 50mph out of these trucks and make battery and slight Tweeks and get 54 mph.

  • @mikescallon4288
    @mikescallon4288 Год назад

    We were able to hit 55 mph with the Maxx v2 the other day, completely stock. Fastest we have gotten it thus far. This is easily capable of hitting over 60 mph which is impressive for a truck. I typically find Arrma's to have less issues than Traxxas vechiles with the Maxx being the exception. I have owned quite a few vechiles and the Maxx along with the Talion exb are the two best I have driven. I do have an appetite for the Outcast or Kraton but keep thinking already owning the Maxx it might be not a good option. The benefit of the Maxx over Arrma vechiles, such as the Talion is it requires very little maintenance. The Talion requires a tremendous amount of tedious maintenance which is time consuming and annoying.

    • @rcreviews9894
      @rcreviews9894  Год назад

      Yeah the Maxx is very fast for a Monster truck, built like a tank, the Outcast and Kraton are some pretty tough trucks too, fun to drive as well, I would say they are also easy to work on like the Maxx , I think that’s why this is such a good comparison because they are pretty much neck and neck in those aspects🤙

      Well the Maxx v2 is my favorite 1/10 scale truck in the Traxxas line right now, until they come out with something else better, as far as the Outcast and Kraton, man that’s a tough one! I would say strictly for bashing the Outcast all the way! For better handling and mild bashing the Kraton!

  • @dondavis9249

    I will definitely be getting the kraton 4s v2 and everybody's getting 52 to 54 mph out of the kraton and outcast kinda strange on this video.

      @rcreviews9894  2 года назад

      The Kraton is a excellent choice! Your gonna like it👍 Not sure what happened here, we started with a fresh pack, we hit max throttle on several of our passes, trust me I love squeezing every drop of speed out of these Rc’s I can! It’s what I do, speeds may vary, under the right conditions I know I can get them going a few mph faster!

      @@rcreviews9894There is a way to quickly extract a bit more power out of Arrma vechiles. It is quick and free. There is a video that shows how to do it. It takes maybe 60 seconds total. I did it my Talion EXB and went from 61 mph to a top speed of 65 mph. I also own v2 Maxx and personally think it is Traxxas best vechile. I have owned a Sledge and XRT and a host of others and each had some sort of defect pretty much right out of the box. Most drove like crap as well with the exception of the Maxx, although it is tough to control during high speed runs. Very good motor and esc though which enables you to drive smoothly at both high speeds and slow speeds without surging and cogging which vechiles like the Sledge and Hoss do like there is no tomorrow. Completly unrefined vechiles that are only happy when they are going fast. ARRMA vechiles, across the board are better engineered machines that in most classes represent s step up over Traxxas. Driving my Sledge and then the Talion EXB. Massive difference in favor of the Talion. Much better engineered drivetrain. Traxxas did a good job with thr Sledges body and toughness but they did a terrible job with the motor which needs refining to ger to even the Maxx level let alone Arrrma"s 6s line. I know metal gears are louder but the Sledge is so obnoxiously loud and coarse driving it absolutely ruins your experience. Ridiculous price they charge for such an unrefined vechile.

    If you monkey with Arrma esc you should get a couple more mph.
