It’d be a 8/10 game but for me It’s a 5 or 6 in its current state
Here's the thing though. To fix the things you said specifically would require complete overhauls and those don't get done in just a year. When you change entire core mechanics, you have to go through all the code with a fine tooth comb with months of testing just for one of those said overhauls to make sure it's playable and then awhile longer still to iron out bugs. So much of the gameplay here that people don't like were critical decisions made early in development and were being committed to no matter what so the only thing that extra year would've done was to squash the worst bugs that are still rampant and rebalance the AI which could be doable within half the time. As this video seems to stress, that's really all they need to do to make this game actually fun but yeah. The problems I see aren't the kind of things Ubisoft will ever commit to properly fixing. This is a semi-souless star wars open world and it's going to stay that way because Ubisoft will never care enough about their games to do No Man's Sky/Cyberpunk level updates.
Give it a chance you'll love it (I won't play it) At this point it's better to let the game fail so it can be another reminder for executives to make games that can actually make both parties satisfied, rather than to continually divide us with content that slowly caters to less and less people over time, or attracting more people with lower standards at the cost of the core audience. Tbh, whenever i see that a game is made by ubisoft, i just automatically dismiss it. And you can't really blame me. They've been making the same generic slop for the last couple years. Glad people enjoy their newer games, but they just arent for me.
As someone who has played most of the recent Far Cry games, Outlaws is a *huge* step up in terms of Ubisoft open worlds. I know it won't change your perception of them, but I just wanted to put that out there
@@Seoul_Soldier yeah sorry I could’ve worded that a bit better, I actually meant exactly what you just said, I meant that they shouldn’t be looked at as what assassin creeds should be, not that there terrible but they just wouldn’t be good today and that’s why I hate when people say assassins creed should return to its roots because that would just be lazy, instead they should be like most studios and make sequels that surpass their predecessors.
@overnightavenger1470 on steam if you have less than 2 hours in a game then you get a refund no questions asked. After 2 hours you have to give a reason. Steam is lenient anyways and you could just call the game trash and they'd give you the refund
I was one of those who was very optimistic about this game, hoping it would be like the Guardians of the Galaxy game where before release everyone was hating on it only to see it was actually brilliant upon release. With Outlaws, after the 45th “Sneak by everyone and don’t get caught or it’s game over mission” I realised nah, the game was just genuinely bad.
Criticizing*. Why do so many people these days use the word hate out of it's definition. Vitriol is a word that is defined as harsh criticism. Hate is much more than harsh criticism. Hate is like the people that bully, riot, destroy and kill. Not people talking bad about a video game.
Sorry, but saying the Guardians of the Galaxy game is brilliant is a bit overexaggerated, isn't it? I played it for a bit and found it very numb. Most of all the enemies, which were mostly just bullet sponges.
See my perspective here is there are plenty of games that utilize that kinda mission structure and people love it. It’s just not for everyone and I think the marketing really misled many people about what to expect. The more I think about it everyone I’ve talked to was basically expecting Star Wars red dead redemption which really is ubisofts fault for talking about this game like it was that. What is here is dope for what it set out to be. Combat definitely needs a fix but it is 1000% fixable with an update. Also guardians of the galaxy went so hard it’s not even funny I loved that game.
@@bizlychannelYT fair enough, at the end it's just preference. Personally I have a lot of problems with Outlaws, and the enemy's of guardians of the galaxy boring as they mostly were just different shapes
I've enjoyed some of your past videos, but this has made me respect you even more. Honestly, it's refreshing to see someone whose take on this game isn't comedically negative, yet is still willing to provide constructive feedback for it. I felt like I was in bizarro world in September when I finally played Outlaws and actually found it to be pretty good yet flawed, while the rest of the internet acted like Kay Vess killed their mom and ate their dad.
I had more fun watching this video than actually playing the game. On that note I feel like this whole "access" thing that media companies do has to stop. People will not be completely honest be cause they want to keep their access.
bro, tatooine is so unreal to me like its just a desert planet which almost the entire film franchise always goes back to, where there is literally NOTHING interesting besides a town and the jabba palace on. People are supremely desperate all the time to escape from it, yet its one of the most well-known planets in all of star wars, whilst also containing such little story potential/set design tbh. At least jakku had remains of old imperial ships which was cool
No offence to him, I love his videos but the game is like seventy quid and he got it for free from ubisoft? At that point it's pretty close to being sponsored, I feel like you're way more likely to love a free game than if you spent Seventy Dollars on it
@@funkymanvibing i know i aint like everyone but paying for a game actually makes me more inclined to like it, because i actually SPENT money on it, like i pirate games, and get bored of them 5 mins after and dont feel bad for just not touching them again, cant rlly do the same with games ive spent 6 hours worth of work for (other than refunding ig)

My main problems with this game are, that the gameplay is just plain boring and bad, especially the stealth gameplay and AI. And that the world just feels dead, there's no dynamic anything to the NPC's. You either got the random walking NPC's or the NPC's 'doing things' which is basically standing at a market stall or talking in a group. But there's nothing dynamic about the world at all. Yes the game looks great and they absolutely nailed the Star Wars look, but to keep me engaged in a game, you need more than a cool looking world. I want good gameplay and that is unfortunately lacking. Glad I just paid for Ubisoft + for a month instead of buying it, because this game is worth 20 dollars at best.
I actually feel similarly about Sonic Frontiers, I’d honestly say it’s pretty objectively bad but I personally had a lot of fun with it. Something I think many people forget about this hobby is that you’re allowed to like bad games, and you can criticize them for being bad just the same. Great video bebo
Comments like this confuse me because you had a lot of fun with it but you’re saying it’s objectively bad? Not that you can’t like something you don’t think is very well made but especially game quality is super subjective imo and if you had fun with it they must’ve at least done a decent job right?
@@ptona3287 the game crashed a lot, there were a bunch of invisible walls in a seemingly open world, the story was boring and characters were stilted, it’s incredibly buggy, the cyberspace levels are genuinely awful, i could go on for a while despite all of that though i still found myself enjoying the game, but it definitely is not great and absolutely not worth 60 dollars
To be fair I will say there probably is a bias with this because you didn't have to give up 70-100 dollars of your hard-earned money to have this experience

I don't care if you like the game, or mention something positive about it, that's totally fair. My problem is that this is objectively a broken mess. Starting from the massive bugs. They are not just well this funny thing happened. They are gamebraking bad. But the worst offender is the "AI" to tell you the truth I don't know where is supposed to be that "I" I'm sure as heck it doesn't stand for intelligence. The most important aspect of the game here, being the interaction with the npcs. The criminal organizations and the empire that should be a threat and they are easily avoidable by tall grass... But hey! The background is beautiful, look at the worlds, they are pretty huh? $70 please! I could excuse the incompetence and the shilling, if this would be an independent studio ran by one guy and friends trying to tackle an ambitious project by themselves in their free time. But this a quadruple A project with millions of dollars backing it, and people are like... "Yeah it's good. It doesn't work more than half of the time, or even properly but is good" ... What?! @@erickpuma1202 Can you elaborate how the AI in this game which is panned is any different from the AI in Ghost of Tsushima for instance which is a praised game with focus on stealth? Im honestly surprised this game added another small marketable sidekick when the commando droid wearing a trench coat is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen
While I might not agree with all of his takes on this one in particular, I'm enjoying both the AMAZING editing and seeing a content creator not just jump on the dogpile to shit on a game everyone else is shitting on. The production value in these videos is insane, matching your irl camera and positioning to look as if you were sitting on a Star Wars cantina is amazing
Look I respect your opinion and I find it great that you are enjoying the game, but I still kind of hate how people will just defend $70+ slop. Im just tired of seeing how studios like ubisoft are getting the license to make a star wars game and just do the bare minimum only to charge more than $70+ for a half baked product.
Just saw you on EFAP. I'm not into Star Wars that much and haven't played the game at all, but I wanted to say that the efford youput into the video is insane. I'll check your channel out for sure!

darth vader is fun in that you always feel like hes a bit too important to appear in games, and then he just fucking does and the stakes are instantly raised. Like his appearance at the end of Jedi Fallen Order just scared the absolute shit out of me.
I don't think Riko's addition is that superfluous considering it's a mirror to Kay and ND and the classic trope of choosing your own family as well as breaking cycles of treatment among families
also I know the game wants to treat the empire as two different beasts but when they do want you to take them seriously they invoke the ISB - like how the deathroppers show up after you reach max WANTED they're following the command of ISB agents
I'm enjoying it. I can understand some people not liking it or Ubisoft. Not liking it doesn't make it bad. It's fun, gunplay is good, the world is cool, great graphics and all that. 20 percent of the hate is from people that never played it and just listen to what someone else said and decided to hate it too
I think the game sucks, completely heartless open world, almost no need to explore, mechanics are terrible, stealth is laughable. I think it’s the biggest pile of dog shit.
No need to explore? I feel like you didn't play the game at all. A lot of essential pieces for upgrading equipment and a lot of actual essential upgrades for equipment are found by exploring. I also did like how they didn't do the stupid tower system like they do in every other Ubisoft game you actually have to drive around and explore and yes will show up on your compass but they're not going to be marked on your map so you know exactly where to go you actually have to look around
@gamerforlife3946 so you find map markers Les bland? I'm struggling to understand what your idea of good exploration is if it's not exploring to find things. And it also like to present the opinion that not every game has to be a 9 or 10 or 10 to be fun. 7 out of 10 is a fine score and it's perfectly fine for me to be able to explore the Star Wars universe iverse like this. I wanted to drive a speeder across the Dune sea and explore the Star Wars world since I was a little kid and now I can do it but I will say, my opinion isn't going to be like most people's because I haven't been oversaturated by the Ubisoft formula. The last Ubisoft game I played was Assassin's Creed III so I haven't really played an open world game like this in quite a long time so maybe that's why I find it more fun than a lot of people.
@@captainfach Want good exploration? Play witcher 3, elden ring, red dead redemption even gta… Dude even new studios do exploration better like black myth wukong lol
@@captainfach I’m truly glad you like it! Honestly, I mean that. If it brings you joy, that’s all that matters. In reply to the other guy, a good game with exploration that truly rewards exploration with random events and always feeling like something is about to be found would be things like RDR2, Elden ring, outer wilds, marrowind, baldurs gate, metro exodus. It’s not just about finding items, but actual encounters that make the game feel lived in and keeps you on your toes all the time. But truly I agree not every game has to be like this, not every game will be. A lot of teams don’t have the talent to pull something like a rockstar title or a fromsoft title, but they can still be fun and I respect that. For instance, I’ve been loving space marine 2 and that’s basically a linear story with minimal exploration but I still love it.
I never thought that a Separatist commando droid in a big ass coat would even be a thing that exists, but hot DAMN that is the coolest shit I’ve ever seen in Star Wars
There are so many half-baked, done better elsewhere mechanics in here, which is objectively disappointing. BUT I had lots of fun along the way and that's all that matters at the end of the day. Would I recommend it to all my friends? Nah, but I'd defend the great 30 to 40 hour experience I had by giving it a chance and ignoring the wall to wall bad publicity it's getting.
Just know I didn't watch a hour long video because i was interested in the 'STORY' of an another mid ubisoft game but, i watched because of the amazing quality of this video and cuz bizly is a great story teller
Im really glad to see a break from the hostility towards this game, I'm personally a huge fan of it, I enjoy just living the life of an outlaw, taking odd jobs before a job gone wrong forces me to go to another planet. I feel like the main complaint people have about this game is its by ubisoft, but its an enjoyable game. Its by no means revolutionary, in fact id argue the game in terms of mechanics is probably very common, but its dumb fun, its a game I can boot up and live in the star wars universe for a little bit, have fun doing contracts. Glad to know at the very least Im not alone in admiring the scenery of the game.
Facts. The gameplay isn't revolutionary and the combat is lacking, but it's still a lot of fun and I enjoy spending time in the Star Wars universe. It scratches my RPG upgrading itch, and there's a lot of fun stuff to do. Also, I got really into Sabacc. Like a little too much into it. People hating on modern Star Wars really yucks my yum, which is sad, since there's some really good stuff underneath all the criticisms.
The graphics are amazing and I love how the worlds are so lived in and alive. Their new engine is fantastic. Leaves me excited for Shadows as there will evidently be even more to do.

just a bad game - terrible stealth - terrible combat - terrible mission design (auto fail, inconsistent rules of engagement) - terrible save (even reloading somehow enemies still attack) - terrible speeder and inability to actually steal anything like vehicles - terrible weapon steal mechanic - ugly lead, butchered model's face for DEI - all girls girlbosses and all guys bad and either weak or killed off - boring main villain of course white male bad - androgynous design for customization and even kay as a whole (man spreading sitting for no reason) - $70+ or own nothing Ubi+ neither a good deal its not even worth deep sale
"Wordl" did not create that hacking game, that's based on a game called "Mastermind" - which is itself based on older games with mostly the same mechanics.
I like that you're voicing your own opinion despite the almost overall public view of the contrary. Keep it up man, I always love seeing a new vid of yours pop up in my feed
Yeah I agree... but for $70+ dollars (even more where I live) it just isn't worth it for a game that is 7/10. When baldurs gate is like the same amount of money for this games "standard" price and it's still only 7/10 is where I draw the line to a game being worth it.
The game is really fun. My biggest complaint is that they 3 gangs you work for don't have anything to distinguish themselves from one another. They are all just criminals, thats it. It's like working for Bob, Bob or Bob.
Well I mean that’s kinda what they are but I feel you on that. Would’ve loved to see some more variety in there as personalities but what can you really do with crime lords to make em different 😅
Alright, so I haven't played the game, BUT the games looks shit. I think the Idea of the criminal underworld is amazing and playing as an outlaw sounds like a dream, however from what I have heard, the story isn't that great, every single animation just looks either weird or just absolutely terrible. The combat looks just as bad and boring (especially the takedowns). What annoys me the most is, that more and more people say, that the game looks good. What are you drinking? OK, yes the design is good, and if you are looking at something far away it can look good, BUT once you are up close it just doesn't look good. There is not a single sharp edge, corner or line. The NPCs costumes look so f terrible. And of course the AI Ubisoft uses since 2012 is still awful. And some little things like a cap on how much gambling you can do is just stupid, seriously, why include that. And there are more. Essentially, in theory it's cool, and I have heard that the immersion is actually pretty good, but the execution is just dreadful. Just imagine, a game with the same setting, but actually as a good game. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's better than it looks, but from what I have seen the game is at best a 4/10.

Suit yourself my dude. I've been having a blast with this game. The exploration is a lot better than most Ubisoft games because you actually want to explore no tower map system you actually have to find things yourself, and I love how they sidestepped the RPG system with Masters and goals instead of just XP and points and skill trees and crap. Tbh, whenever i see that a game is made by ubisoft, i just automatically dismiss it. And you can't really blame me. They've been making the same generic slop for the last couple years. Glad people enjoy their newer games, but they just arent for me.
Last two years? They’ve always made slop, old assassins creed games aren’t the gems people think they are

@@buttermilk5364people telling other people how to talk are annoying.

People will not be completely honest be cause they want to keep their access.

jrwi clip in my star wars bizlychannel video? today is a good day
All I got from this vid was to buy a 70$ game just to be able to use the speeder
Sounds about right.

@@snoookie456exactly my thoughts. I can't get over the fact of "yeah it's good, I mean there are bad things but is good" kind of commentary they all give because X company needs at least some positivity or else they'd be blacklisted forever and they know it.
What?!
Like what you like, I don't care it's your money and your time (not the shills money, they get this garbage for free) but don't expect people to blindly praise a subpar product just for loyalty to the brand or some crap like that
@@erickpuma1202 Can you elaborate how the AI in this game which is panned is any different from the AI in Ghost of Tsushima for instance which is a praised game with focus on stealth? Since I recently played GoT and now I played Outlaws, it's literally the same standard AI like any other with this type of stealth. Same as GoT or any recent AC game.

No way Darth Vader is in the star wars video game and an entire security branch for the empire answers to him i wouldve never seen that coming
darth vader is fun in that you always feel like hes a bit too important to appear in games, and then he just fucking does and the stakes are instantly raised. Like his appearance at the end of Jedi Fallen Order just scared the absolute shit out of me.
@JoltedAlive he was a good reveal in fallen order but it's hard to find star wars games that he doesn't appear in
I don't think Riko's addition is that superfluous considering it's a mirror to Kay and ND and the classic trope of choosing your own family as well as breaking cycles of treatment among families
also I know the game wants to treat the empire as two different beasts but when they do want you to take them seriously they invoke the ISB - like how the deathroppers show up after you reach max WANTED they're following the command of ISB agents
Respect for this video ur a legend👍
Your bits and editing are really fun. Such a shame they're wasted defending this garbage game.
I'm enjoying it. I can understand some people not liking it or Ubisoft. Not liking it doesn't make it bad. I’m loving all the videos recently! The editing is also so cool with how Bizly puts himself into the games that he’s talking about
I think the game sucks, completely heartless open world, almost no need to explore, mechanics are terrible, stealth is laughable.
@@captainfach I feel you never played a good finished game before, because all you said is bland, especially exploration

Yeah I agree... but for $70+ dollars (even more where I live) it just isn't worth it for a game that is 7/10. When baldurs gate is like the same amount of money for this games "standard" price and it's still only 7/10 is where I draw the line to a game being worth it.
This is true I just ignored all the hate & angry comments surrounding this game bc it’s mostly all just petty hate. I played it & enjoyed it.

Star Wars is for kids you nerd. They aren't thinking about making M rated stuff because they're demo can't even drive
0:39 i see that at the bottom, how much they pay you? 💀
Read the description. He did not get paid.
@@adamatkinson1504 Oh yep you're right, I still have no idea how he enjoyed this game then, it's just Assassins Creed with guns and no parkour and significantly more terrible
@@skylinedo21did you not watch his video, he told you why
This was so fun to watch, and a refreshing perspective. Love the positivity while acknowledging the flaws. Excited to check out more of the channel!
It’s immersive as far as the world of Star Wars, (Tatooine for example) I’ll give it that.
I played it. I get liking it. It has a charm. In a 2005 lisence game based on a movie for the ps2 that was rushed to completion but has like a vibe, sort of way. But this is not good enough for todays standards, not good enough for $80 or whatever Ubisoft is charging. My thoughts when playing it was comparing it to another big open world(ish) space game. Mass Effect Andromeda. That game has better combat, better moment to moment writing, better characters, better world design, better on foot traversal, better vehicle traversal, and a way more interesting story. And that game was rightly trashed for being sub par... 7 years ago. You might like Star Wars Outlaws, but it is deserving the shit it gets.
Thank you so much for this video, this is why you’re the GOAT. Video’s only been out for like an hour but there are already people whining in the comments
The way you edit yourself into each video is my favorite!
The time it must take you, thank you for all the work you put into each video! You're a very entertaining dude :)
