I just became A+ certified today. The 902 version of the test was very hard but I am happy to have passed. Like I mentioned in my comment on the 901 I just use Mike’s all in one premium edition. I also ordered his videos from Udemy.
I just took my 901 exam today. It was indeed difficult but I did pass. It was my first time taking the test or any IT test. I only used Mike Meyer’s study material. I liked his teaching style a lot. All I used was the A+ All in one certification premium ninth edition and the Materials that came with it including the Simulations and the practice test. I also bought his video instruction for all of the Udemy courses he had covering 901 and 902.
Hi Mike, I'm from Houston, TX, too, and actually live two blocks away from a Pearson Vue location. Taking the 901 and 902 tomorrow. Thanks for this video, it helps to calm my nerves! Your book is also AMAZING. Thanks for everything.

Hay mike. I just finished my comp TIA IT Fundamentals last month with a passing score or 783 out of 650. I cant thank you enough for the books you've made. I start my A+ next week. Thank you again for all you do.

Hey Mike, I took my Comptia Exam back in 2009 and passed both 601-602 but since then, my certifications (even though they dont have an expiration date) are considered obsolete, I now have to take 901-902 which I am doing so next week at a PearsonVue testing center. In a way I'm kinda familiar with what to expect but its the "new" implementations on the test that Im a bit nervous about. I have been studying but sometimes get confused about many test and exam and courses different educators for Comptia A+ interpret their teachings. Ive basically been looking for a practice test exam that is somewhat similar to what would be on the CompTIA 901 902 exam. Anyway, will be doing your test exam and see how i do today. Wish me luck!
I've been taking a lot of Linkedin Learning courses recently, (working from home, Covid-19, yo know how it is,) and I just want to say, Mike Myers stands heads and tails above most of the rest of the courses there. He's this exquisite combination of gigantic nerd and playful extrovert, his courses are both densely informative but also weirdly fun, in a way that ensures they'll keep your attention. This might seem like some kind of forced sales pitch but it's really not, I'm just some rando who really enjoyed watching his CompTIA training videos.
can someone please help me!? im currently using pluralsight, its a joke. there isn't any testing, its straight videos. is his classes on udemy good? how much does everything cost for the CompTIA cert and his practice test? from what I understand its like 50 dollars. is that for everything? thank you. im new to this and just trying to make a good decission

The way u brake down difficult concepts and explain things is amazing! All the best! I already bought Yours All-in-One Golden Comptia A+!
I really desire a job in the IT and Web Development field, but ater watching a few of your video's I am not sure I am capable to storing so much information in my head. It's very scary to get into.
If you can practice what you see in my videos the knowledge will store easily. Just watching the videos it is a lot to take in but as you practice it will be much easier to remember.
We don't store all that info. I've been in the IT field for 10 years. Never bothered to do the A+ but always been interested in it. Anything I don't know while on the job I look up. This is the issue with exams. They expect you to cram. Some people will remember the stuff, lots of us will have rough ideas and then just look up the answer. Or even carry an A+ book around with you to look up stuff offline. Just play around with VMs and it will stick the more you do it.
CompTIA is getting better about asking questions on the exams that are practicle and move about troubleshooting. They have cut out a lot of the memorizing facts that you can look up kind of questions. They're not fully there but they are getting much better.
Hi Mike, I know these videos are almost 2 years old, just wondering if the book CompTIA A- Certification Ninth Edition is still the standard copy for the CompTIA A+ 901&902 exams, if you could let me know soon that would allow me to get a jump start faster on scheduling a testing date and purchasing the book.

@@TotalSeminarsChannel I can't remember all of this content by july. Any advice? I was trying to do one xam at a time but I am very new to this material.

My question is it doable and do you also have some tips which kind of jobs are applicable with this study. TYiA, Michael NL
With A+ and Net+ there are a ;lot of network admin. type jobs open. Here is a great roadmap put out by CompTIA: certification.comptia.org/why-certify/roadmap
Hello, could you give me a suggestion on what type of computer I could use to work on for practice, so I can have some hands on experience? Thank you for the great videos.
the best system is one you are OK with taking apart. Any old equipment would work. The idea is to feel comfortable taking it apart and changing configurations etc.
CompTIA has a very large agreement with the DOD and other government agencies. All their techs have to get industry certified and CompTIA A+, Net+ and Sec+ are a part of that program. In order to qualify CompTIA has to agree to refresh the exam objectives every three years to keep up with new technology.
Yes, if you want to stay "current" for your CompTIA certification, you have to take Continuing Education training. There are a lot of details in this program and you should go to the CompTIA web site for all the details www.comptia.org. One simple way to stay current is to get a "higher" certification. For example if you are A+ certified and get Net+ within 3 years that qualifies to keep you currant for your A+ certification.
Mike, do you have know exactly when the 220-801 and 220-802 expiring. I'm studying and no way near ready. would you recommend me just to study the new 220-901 and 220-902? please let me know.
Hey, I looked for you on Steam as "desweds" as you wrote on the CompTIA Network+ N10-006 book, page 205. No one is showing up :P Nice engage on that one lol.
Ive taken the test a month ago but didnt pass for the 901. im going to take it again but i was wondering. ive lost the paper where it told me i need to study. i know what i neeed to study for. But is there anyway i can look it up on what i need to study for?
I think you are out of luck. You might want to get some practice tests that show results by objective. Take them and see which areas you are weakest in. Total Seminars has some, our Total Tester. Go to the web site www.totalsem.com. We are having a sale with the Total Tester and our TotalSims, simulations bundled. Look on the home page for Top Gun Sale.Be sure not to pay full price for the exam when you retake it. You can get discount vouchers on our web site too.Don't mean to sound too sales pitchy but I thought I would offer a way to save on the cost of the exams and our resources should help you make sure you focus your studies and pass.Good luck, let me know how you do.
It is a big deal for me to pass. My anxiety is high. I already have the job and they are paying for the exam. I don't want to come back and say I didn't pass. I read all of the book but I don't like Chapter 16 and the chapter over printers.
The All-in-One is a more in depth coverage of all the issues with more explanation and details on each topic. The Passport is a condensed cram book for those who already know a lot about the topics but need to fill gaps and cram on specific topics that are covered on the exam. Hope that helps.
TotalSeminarsChannel ive been in the it field for 4 yrs and now i work as an active directory admin and i have sec+. i didnt pay much attention to hardware or software in college class but i know some stuff now. im taking ccna at the end of october and i want to get a+ just to get it. thanks for the info. i already bought passport on amazon 2 days ago
Your book is overall good except the "Chapter 16-Working with the command-line interface". This is the part where you failed. A person who never worked with Command-line is not going to learn from what you wrote.
Hello Mike, great videos! I will be taking the 901/902 In a couple of months but I wanted some more hands on experience. What would you recommend for a home lab? I am willing to put in the time and money to further my IT career.
The more the better but you don't have to spend a fortune. Get some old or used systems. Try friends, eBay or almost any other place you can pick up a PC for a lab, also networking equipment like a WAP, and a router. The used equipment will allow you to take them apart or add new cards or drives without worrying about messing up your own system that you use all the time.
Hi Michael, how do I get your test exam questions cd for both 901 902 you had spoke of in this video ? I am and have been studying for my CompTIA A + for most of the year and would like to run through those test questions before taking the real test
That's what I have created my training materials for. Depending on your learning style I have books, videos, simulations and practice test software to help you prepare. All are available on my web site: www.totalsem.com.Good luck with your studies and the exam.

With A+ and Net+ there are a ;lot of network admin. type jobs open. Here is a great roadmap put out by CompTIA: certification.comptia.org/why-certify/roadmap
Awesome video. Thank you👍👍👏
Hello, could you give me a suggestion on what type of computer I could use to work on for practice, so I can have some hands on experience? Thank you for the great videos.
the best system is one you are OK with taking apart. Any old equipment would work. The idea is to feel comfortable taking it apart and changing configurations etc.
@@TotalSeminarsChannel your cool
What is the percentage to pass the test? Do you need 60% or more?
Get all the exam facts on my web site at www.totalsem.com/a-certification/
Is their any promo code for practice test and total sims? After looking at comments i want to give a try. Thanks
Hey Mike, great vid but can you tell what the your intro song is?
Not sure, it came from a audio library we have access to.
Hi Mike I have a question is the DVD or CD inside of the book or do I have to buy it separately?
The CD comes inside the back of the book.
TotalSeminarsChannel Thanks Mike
Can you talk about the three-year renewal process?
CompTIA has a very large agreement with the DOD and other government agencies. All their techs have to get industry certified and CompTIA A+, Net+ and Sec+ are a part of that program. In order to qualify CompTIA has to agree to refresh the exam objectives every three years to keep up with new technology.
I mean the actual certification. Don't all A+ techs have to re-certify every three years since the policy change in 2011?
Yes, if you want to stay "current" for your CompTIA certification, you have to take Continuing Education training. There are a lot of details in this program and you should go to the CompTIA web site for all the details www.comptia.org. One simple way to stay current is to get a "higher" certification. For example if you are A+ certified and get Net+ within 3 years that qualifies to keep you currant for your A+ certification.
Mike, do you have know exactly when the 220-801 and 220-802 expiring. I'm studying and no way near ready. would you recommend me just to study the new 220-901 and 220-902? please let me know.
The 800 series was retired (English Version) as of June 30th of this year. All other languages will retire December 31st 2016.
Thank you!
Pmanuel33 is correct. Thanks for jumping in.
Taking mine Monday. Honestly if I fail I’m just going for MSCA. A+ is pointless
Hey, I looked for you on Steam as "desweds" as you wrote on the CompTIA Network+ N10-006 book, page 205. No one is showing up :P Nice engage on that one lol.
I am working on a couple of big projects. Sometimes I have to delete all gaming to stay focused :-). I'll be back!
I can imagine... Keep up the good work!
Thanks, glad you like.
So I'm studying the book. Should I focus on the vocabularies first or the practice exam questions?
Id figure you look at all the pieces first then start putting the puzzle together
It is a big deal for me to pass. My anxiety is high. I already have the job and they are paying for the exam. I don't want to come back and say I didn't pass. I read all of the book but I don't like Chapter 16 and the chapter over printers.
Am I able to self study or do I have to take courses for it to be allowed to take the test?
Yes it doesn't matter how you prepare.
Yes you can definitely self study. That's what we specialize in. We create self study materials and thousands of students use them and pass the exams.
@@TotalSeminarsChannel thank you, I will look into. Maybe faster than taking courses. I already know a bit about computers, Ive built my own PC.
what's the difference between A+ Certification Passport and A+ All-in-One Exam Guide?
Good luck with your prep for the A+. Let me know how you do.
My teacher gave me a 801 802 study guide. Is it okay to study this book for the 901 902 test?
Sorry but the objectives have changed for the 901/902 exams. The 801/802 book is 5 years old
Dudley Lehmer Thanks just brought the Exam Cram CompTIA book
Your book is overall good except the "Chapter 16-Working with the command-line interface". This is the part where you failed. A person who never worked with Command-line is not going to learn from what you wrote.
Very helpful video Thank you so much!
So lets go. I'm ready!!
Do the exams give you score percentages whether you pass or fail?
Yes. you get a score on a scale of 100-900 and a pass or fail
Anybody know about how we can take an exam online ??
you need to take the exam in a testing center
thanks for the video mike.
Glad you like it.
Look at that monitor wobble baby!
Hey Ole timer, I pass my A+ because of your book and I am a regular customer at iFixit.com
Hi Michael, how do I get your test exam questions cd for both 901 902 you had spoke of in this video ? I am and have been studying for my CompTIA A + for most of the year and would like to run through those test questions before taking the real test
Practice Questions...forgot to put that in there
It’s comes with the book.
I was wondering do I have to pay for the 901 and 902 separately or does my initial payment cover the cost of both exams
You have to purchase them separately.
Does mcgrawhill book cover both 220-901 & 220-902 ?
Yes
I WANT TO TAKE ADN PASS THE A+ CERT!!!
That's what I have created my training materials for. Depending on your learning style I have books, videos, simulations and practice test software to help you prepare. All are available on my web site: www.totalsem.com.Good luck with your studies and the exam.
Great man
Thanks I love doing this stuff, glad you like
Thank You!!!
Anybody used Mike Meyers video courses which are long to pass
I teach thousands of students a year using my video courses and hear from them that the videos were successful.
I've seen Shrek before and he doesn't sound like the Mike I know
Company is all about the money. RIPOFF BEWARE
Wow
Seems like a nice guy lol
Great for personal knowledge, but most employers disregard these qualifications... Waste of time for getting an IT job.
