I didn’t realize it would be a bit difficult to find videos about people moving out for the first time at a later age. I’m 29 and will be moving out for the first time in 4 months with no roommates and no debt, and am super excited. Congrats to everyone who’s moved out! That mental/emotional freedom is somethin different.
First congratulations…I’m 28 and will finally be getting my own place . Ive moved out 3 times and didn’t have the finances to maintain anything alone. I’ve lived with a spouse before and never got to experience being completely alone. Ive been watching so many first apartment vlogs on here and this is THE ONLY ONE ive found of someone close to my age. This was much needed that I you so much. I found a place in my price range. I have a great paying job. I’m so excited. I plan on staying in my apartment for as long as I need to until I get my credit right and hopefully save enough money to buy my house completely out. I have a plan in motion and I can’t wait to get started on my new life.
I claim it , I’m moving out . I just got a steady salaried job and go to school part time . I need to squeeze a waitressing or cleaning gig into that so I can really save save. 40k plus extra chump change will def help me in the long run of saving . I have to just manage my “cravings “ for fast food bc at the end of the day I’m taking money from myself to pay corporate businesses. Maybe I should work there on the night too to psychologically freak myself out and never eat there again !!!
I’m 27 and I’m moving out by next year. Just had to go on RUclips to see who moved out their parents late. You’re speaking true facts. Love this video.❤️
As someone being in my late twenties (26) this video was so needed ! I often feel pressured or bad for still being at home with all my friends being moved out and seeing what society says but this made me feel better about going at my own pace ! Thank you so much for this I’m actually thinking about moving out this year as I think I’m finally in a space where I can handle being on my own mentally and financially! ✨
This is super helpful, I’m 24 at the time but I’m seriously considering moving around 27 or so. I’m looking forward to the ability to claim my own space and to set whatever experience that I need once I get off work. And definitely giving myself time due to this horrible housing and economic situation
I am 27 and I am in the process of looking for my own apartment although I haven't lived with my mom for a while I have never lived completely alone before, and I am beyond excited!!!
Subscribed!! I’m about to move out and I’m 25. I had to move back in with my parents at the end of 2019 because I was in a toxic relationship, my music career was just not working out, and I was so broke. I submitted my life to Jesus and He turned everything around in 2020. Thank you so much for sharing your story and having PERSONALITY!!! When you started talking about making the space your own I was like, “Yeah I gotta subscribe”. Plus you work in the arts 😍🙌🏾
Aww, I wish you nothing but PROSPERITY! The fact that you submitted your Life is how I KNOW you’ll go far. Stayed committed, choose wisely (friends, your movements, your decisions, etc) and involve Him in EVERYTHING, and He will direct your path babygirl💞 God bless you!
Hey girl hey! I’m 27 just getting my shxt together. I want to move out too but waiting to have more money saved and I wanna move with my partner for my next move. I’ve lived on my own in college but came back home after too. Thank you for sharing these tips. Appreciate you! 💕✨
I’m 27 and my circumstances are different from most. My mom had cancer when I was a junior in college so I moving out was not an option for me. It wasn’t until she beat cancer, I got a good job and now almost 30 I’m now ready to move. My mom has a job now, my brothers in college and I need my own space.
I HAVE FOUND MY TRIBE! I am entering my 27th year of life today, and I'm currently saving to move out from my mom's house. I'm still in the early phase of choosing the city and saving. I have always felt so behind the curve, still living at home. But I also live in expensive ass California, so I want to move out of state to be able to afford my own place. Finding videos like yours has made me feel so much calmer about my own pace, and doing this move wisely. Thank you for sharing your story!
i am sooooo I am so happy I found your page 🥹 thank you so much for your transparency. I never would’ve thought I’d see someone making a moving Vlog stating that they moved out at a later age, because nowadays 2022, 2023, 2024 all you see is “moving out at 18 moving out at 16 moving out at 21” but your video lmk that everyone’s journey is not the same and blossoms at different times different ages & different stages in their life. You really gave me hope with this video. thank you!! I literally just turned 27 in January. Feel like my life has been at a standstill for so long. I went through so much last year at 26 I was supposed to move, but things did not go as planned.
idk I wouldn't consider 27 late at this day and age when people are still living at home in their 30s and inflation is at an all time high I think were doing fine bae
my mom keeps asking me for money n if I don’t give her money she keeps trying to kick me out so I wanna get my place before she kicks me out but then when I get my place I feel like I get kicked out so either way I’m get kick out so idk what to do she keeps asking me for money cause she knows I have a lot of money I saved but she keeps tryna take out of it what advice can you give me ?
Hi Hally! I first wanna ask how old you are.. my reasoning is because there’s a point in our lives where we realize it’s just time to move on, let go of the old and grow. I moved out late, but it wasn’t until I got my own space to think, grow and set boundaries that I flourished in life! Although I know that you love your mom, you gotta part ways to figure who you are and what you want. Once you leave, you can turn that around and say instead, “mom, I’d like to take you out for lunch” etc. (other ways of spending money on mom) However, once you break all ties financially, you’re pretty much free. EMBRACE THAT! You’re growing into womanhood and although it never gets easier, you get better at it♥️ so, my tips, • start looking now and make sure, it’s Half of what you make a month so that you can afford it. ($3000 monthly paycheck, $1500 rent). • Do NOT go over your budget, you’ll end up back at your moms. • Continue to save even when you get your own place. • invite your mom over so she can see what YOU’VE done for YOURSELF! ♥️ keep me updated on your journey

A part of me wants to take the leap but I had an apartment with an ex bf and we couldn’t make it work. I can’t take that chance or that walk of shame back to mom and pops house. No way. I just have a few months to go!
I most definitely understand your outlook on all of this! Stay connected/prayed up and continue to be strategic. One thing I CAN say is, God forbid you Have to go back.. consider it a restart because EVERYTHING that happens always turns out for your good. Speak light into your move and keep believing for what you want. You got this!
I needed this so bad yo. I had to move back home my last year of college and I’m still here (27) and I felt like such a failure, but i’m finally ready to do things different with my life, and you just inspired me to do so! 🥹🥹💞💞
AHH - this warms my heart🤍 I’m grateful this impacted you the way that it did. Extended timelines don’t equate to failure, just more/better endurance. It’ll all be worth it!
