The most underrated country singer ever. Should be mentioned as one of the greatest of all time
There are lots of great underrated country artists from the early 90s. Clay Walker is another one that comes to mind.
If anyone should be honored in Country music, it's Mark Chesnutt!
One of my fav songs! Mark does a great job & Grand Old Opry is the perfect place. Much underrated singer. Today’s country music is lacking Steel guitars!
I did not think anyone could even come close to performing the original by the Marshall Tucker Band. Slowing it down and being in the Grand Ole Opry took this classic to a new level. Great rendition Mark. Can't be wrong.....
I still am partial to Marshall Tucker/Doug Gray , but I appreciate that Mark recognizes a great song when he hears one ! Imitation is the best form of flattery!
Most men...
Sung so well!
Mark Chesnutt makes all emotions sound sweet.
Those guys from Mark's era.....greatest period of country music ever.
There are very Few times when you can really say: “ a great sound all around”.... ......but this is one of those special times..............
Damn he’s so good, as handsome af! but what a voice,! Love this guy singing! Total country! X
IF you get the chance to see him in concert, by all means go. He puts on a great show!!!
Amen I seen him he's in my Hall of Fame
I love the steel guitar.
Who is playing the steel-guitar?
@@barbarakaminski1695 the info from the poster said “slim yamahuchi”
Me too but they say it's like driving nail with rubber mallet hard
Me too...Ole slim Yamaguchi legend with mark

saw mark at a casino concert when his band couldn't cross the Canadian border..... acoustic guitar and a drum set he was freaking great his songs and covered anyone you could imagine just a pure entertainer!!!
Mark did a great job with this one too. I wore out a few of Marshall Tucker cassettes.
Same here Huck. I was doing a lot of driving for a living in those days, and I too wore out just about every MTB cassette Those guys never got their due...
The music of Marshall Tucker shall live forever
Great tribute to Toy Caldwell and the Marshall Tucker Band
I love this real countryfied version of this tune.
Perfect country boy to cover Marshall Tucker.
GOD bless Texas !
Mark Chestnutt. One of the most underrated vocalist in country music.

I wish had A dollar every time I played this song with Marshall Tucker. Great job Covering the song Mark
+Gary Gizzard You played with MTB? What era? I worked with Franklin Wilkie in the mid-90s a bit
Hey Lee I was in the band 1993 - 1997 when the band was good , They suck now ,, sorry to say
+Gary Guzzardo Cool Gary...I unfortunately never saw them until 2005...was a treat to watch BB. Loved Mothers Finest
Gary Guzzardo that's mint. I even looked you up to see if it was true. You are legit
This was the Stu Swanlund era, correct? Met him through his son, Billy. Very nice guy.
One of the Great..
I've opened for Mark and MTB in different bands. Both very positive experiences. Mark was so kind to us visiting our backstage area (he even waited for me when I was stealing some of his beer just before he went onstage, I didn't know it was him until he said, "How're you?") and we all shared songs and stories after his show. San Diego.
Barry Amundsen ☺️
Great musician with awesome talent. I always did love Mark Chestnut’s music and always will. The man has the voice that just opens the heart and mind. Makes you get memorized. Just listen to Lost In The Feeling. Wow!
Awesome steel guitar

Always liked this song..I the Marshall Tucker boys sing it live back in......geez....1985 86 maybe. Mark does a fine job with it here.
Beautiful
MARK CAN SING ME THE PHONE BOOK.......YESSSS OHHH YESSSSS
Mark' s band would steal the show if Mark wasn't the mesmerizing singer he is.
I know this was a few years ago, but this is a wonderful version. I’m usually not a big fan of covers-this one is special. Amazing what great musicians can do. Thanks
Wow,Toy would be proud.gretings from Sweden

Wow! I don't think I've ever heard anyone cover that song that well... All it's missing is a few of the choice Toy Caldwell licks..
Nice job Mark - keepin it country my brother !
Well done by a great singer and awesome musicians. Mark has his own very distinctive voice good on him to record this classic tune. 🎼🎸
He done the Marshall tucker band proud with his version of this song.
Nailed it!
Not bad. Appreciate the nod to MTB. They should be in the RR HOF.
Amen brother; those boys never got their due.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 well done!
Lo mejor de la música country es interpretada por Mark. un aficionado de este género musical desde el estado México.

Great job B. I really enjoyed it. You're getting lots of followers. Keep it going. ❤ Papa.
Beautiful Job.....Toy would be Proud....Another One Lost way to soon.
Great job ! 👍👍
Fantastic job Mark Chestnut! Yeehaw From Pasadena!!
Really good remake.
Crushed it!!
Great song.
I miss the flute playing.
Flute made this song 🙂, hey let's throw in a flute solo, only the best pull that off. Mark, one of straits favs
I love you mark. Its ok im just an old fashioned woman that was born in Dallas Texas.
The intro gave me a chuckle. Very genuine. It's said that playing an instrument while singing is the hardest challenge for a performer to do well live. I'd say it's talking to the audience 😉.
Dude, that was good!
Well sung Mark.
GREAT SONG DONE VERY WELL XO
The voice
What a great cover song
Mark did a great job on this old standard and I really like his singing and have a couple of his albums from the 80's. Thanks for putting this one on. Better than Marshall Tucker's!
Definitely very underrated career!
Love the lyric.....you're the hardest thing I've ever tried to get off my mind!
That’s one bad ass drummer !
2020. - as great now as it was many years ago.
Well done, he can remake any old song he wants! However, if he wants to do Ring Of Fire he MUST INCLUDE THE TRUMPETS to be "authentic"!
Rhonda Bland He would. Mark likes to be authentic if he does something. That's why, when other marquis acts in country are cutting back by not carrying certain players, Mark has always had everything needed to cover HIS music.
Come to the Midland/Odessa Tx area.
Great job, I've got the CD.... its awesome!
Thanks Ronald. Always a lot of fun to do the Opry.
very nice
great song! great version of an old song! you can imagine hearing it in a dirtbag truckstop somewhere near Macon Georgia!
donny blondy or riding your pony on the family farm near Plains
He did a great job on this song.
Great job! =)
Love it mark
He does a nice job but, DAMN son, it takes a lot of stones to re-record Marshal Tucker's trademark song!! 'Guess it just goes to show that us Tucker fans are getting old. The kids today don't even know who MTB is..... its a shame.
We're not getting old if we keep on rolling with the flow.
@@pointingdog7235 that's a damn good song too!
I hate remakes. This is no different.
Can't you see.. Trademark song.
And where's the flute??
Hey Lee Kelly tell mark y'all should come up to Appalachian fair grounds next year lol ..
That'd be great but you'll have to go to Mark's website and tell them yourself. Haven't worked regularly for them in a while, although I do occasionally fill in on their request.
Awesome!
So incredibly underrated
Great song and I am from PGH> PENN>
nice tribute to Toy Caldwell
Wow
Nice cover...
