I’m lvl 700 and have never liked dark forest. Most of the time everyone switches to mason and it’s one sided all the way up to the end, then Agatha finally stands a chance.
Not gonna lie to you man, that is usually my reaction to getting deleted by the ballista is usually my reaction. Edit: I work night shift and was sleep deprived when I wrote this post. My bad
So if your mid fight with someone and they leave the game do they just pop out of existence or do they just flop over and it credits you for the kill if you did any damage?cuz ive seen some whacky stuff on this game 😂
The only thing I dislike about this weapon is the class it is bound to. If u run it with the knight, u need to bear with the oil pot which is obviously not as good as horn/banner, and is useless 90% of the time. Yet the vanguard class just feels too weak and can easily get killed in 2 hits, it’s like messer is not a long enough weapon to give it a safety distance. In disadvantaged matches u can easily get pissed off with 1 guy hitting u at the back with u being staggered, and the enemy in front follow up with an attack that kills u. Otherwise this is IMO the second best weapon for TO and duel which is only overpowered by heavy mace.
Honestly it depends on the classes you're up against. Vanguard does pretty well against weapons that deal chop and blunt damage compared to knights. Vanguard feels squishy cause it is but knight can be more vulnerable in certain scenarios.
@@Jacobiwankenoby that is true if you are dueling, but in TO the situational dependency is almost negligible. Statistically, blunts are less common in TO, and in case u really meet one it is only gonna equalise the game for both classes in terms of health. Simply, nothing can one shot a knight except for the maul special, making a full health knight capable of bearing at least 2 heavy attacks before dying, yet a vanguard dies to 1 light + 1 heavy in most cases. I think it would be so much better if a vanguard gets 10 more health, it is like going from being 2 shot killed to 3 shot, plus it doesn’t die instantly from a javelin headshot.
@@saiklog9208 I don't duel often so I can't give much input there. I play 64 team objective pretty much exclusively. If I notice the other team is shredding my knight class I switch to vanguard and usually have a better time. Keyword being usually. Arrows and projectiles can absolutely make it a headache. Good positioning and footwork is a little bit easier to achieve with vanguard. That's more important than health pools if you're capitalizing on those opportunities. I'm level 544 with the knight class, I love playing knight but a strong vanguard can be a real menace. I don't think they are weak at all if played properly.
@@Jacobiwankenoby ye I think vanguard is pretty good if you stick around with ur team, maneuver with speed and do those hit and run stuff. But that isn't really my playstyle. I find myself enjoying intense, chaotic XvX situations and I sometimes even 1vX. I would say I can handle 1v2 against say 2 average lv200-300 players most of the time and sometimes 1v3, when Im running knight. Vanguards are just not as good in handling these situations. Im not saying the class is strictly worse tho. In advantageous teams where u don't need to handle that much 1vX, faster movement speed of vanguard usually mean better efficiency in clearing up enemies, making it a better option. I also find greatsword to be working better with vanguard overall (not expanding it here), it is just not working as well when it comes to messer. ps. I dont remember my exact knight rank but I got my longsword to almost lv500
My favourite thing is seeing Stridah complain about team damage after killing three of his own teammates
Stridah does not kill team mates, they get in his way. This is blasphemy
@@StridahsAngels😂
I’ve always liked Darkforrest because it usually always goes to the last objective and you can get a lot of kills.
as a filthy archer i no longer feel as bad about accidentally shooting a teammate for 10 damage and panicking
That one guy that goes through stealing all his team mates kills that they've spent 30 seconds fighting xD
*makes a video about the messser, uses random weapons found on the ground for 3/4 of the match*
lmao
I’ve always liked dark forest attack or defense. The the messer is always a fall back weapon for me I’ve always leaned on it.
I always love it when you release new videos on Chivalry 2 my man.❤
Ty for supporting!
It's unfortunate that i ran out of ps Plus before i could teach my friend how to use it efficiently, the sword is a beast
So real
you know it's a good game when the most balanced weapon is the most fun to play with
