He just talked 2 minutes about how much he loves Worms WMD and then he gives it a 7.8? I don't understand IGN anymore.
because people these days think everything below 7 is bad, but some reviewers actually use the full scale. considering that 5 is supposed to mean mediocre and 10 means it's a Masterpiece, 7.8 seems like a pretty good score

This is is in fact one of the best games ever.
"Drags off during stalemates" Thats an aspect of the game. When both players have low HP and little weapons ofc they're gonna darkside. It's been a part of the game from the very beginning. If anything, this game lacks defensive, camping weaponary and tight packed maps.
7.8 is a decent score but what justifies an arbitrary 0.2 points off rather than a whole number? Was it the mech suits? Attrition maps? User friendliness? I think IGN needs to pair each criticism with the amount of points taken off or something.

Except that he kinda has a point, the general tone of this review makes you expect better score than 7.8.

Yes, therefore another reason why we should ignore the "Subjective" evaluations and love the game even if they give a 0.0078 out of 10. Ops sorry, should have been rounded up to 0.008 or 0.01? or just a 0.

At least this reviewer actually sounded like he really liked playing the game. You don't always get that with IGN anymore

The windmill map. Memories.
One of the best party games out there! I used to make maps with my cousin with only shotguns and ninja rope and no terrain(platforms only). Two shots per round, ideally two worms sniped into the water.

7.8? Why couldn't it just have been an 8? Or a 7.5? I get using half marks, so going 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5 etc. but in increments of 0.1... What makes a 7.8 worse than a 7.9 but better than a 7.7?

it's 0.1 better than a 7.7 i guess :D what is the difference between a worm with 99 health being hit for 98 dmg and a worm with 98 health being hit with 99 dmg ? :)

looks really awesome if u like Worms. certainly at least an 8. Review sounds like u played it for 5 minutes and by the look of the footage being mostly training sessions I'm probably right. If u don't have the time to review something properly don't bother, rather than give it a standard score hoping noone would notice. i rate this review 1.5/5: must try harder.
Worms World Party is still my favourite in the series, I'm curious to know if this game is more similiar to it and Armaggedon over the recent 2D ones?

i started the game tentatively,first mission,second,then on the third there it was,the ninja rope....its Armageddon.potentially even better.if your an early fan,you must get this game 👏🏻

Is this even a review? You just described the game? You didn’t give any criticism? Why did it only get a 7.8? What’s wrong with it?... and most importantly, why did I click on an IGN review?
What exactly is considered a 10/10 anymore? Journey got a 10, sure... but why? Do you rate a game by its emotional impact or by how much you'd play it? It's really opinionated, so that's why I always believe these review scores are pointless.
Reading comments of people moaning about IGN when they knew what to expect from IGN but still click on one of their videos... and leave a comment moaning about them. Great work people.

I used to play that too! However I think worms came first and inspired that game. I miss it so much now 😞

I don't know... these squared worms are not as charismatic as the classic worms. Worms 2 was the last worms game that I remember that had some real charm. This new game doesnt looks really fun. And is just me or the scenarios of this game feels kind of "dead"?

The stationary weapons that you can build, sacrificing mobility for firepower... what? The sentry gun? Doesn't make you immobile. The weapon emplacements? Those SPAWN in. Play the game before reviewing it, maybe?

I don't know if I can justifying buying nearly the same game again.
This game for me is a 10...it's the best Worms game that came out. It has machines to ride, new turrets/cannons, crafting of new hilarious weapons etc. This reviewer is biased....it should have at least got a 9 or 9.5 out of him if he didn't want to give it a 10. 🤦

Whats wrong with the original Worms game? why do they have to keep re-hashing it.
Have you actually played the original Worms? That title is really effin bad. I'd give you a win if you have mentioned Worms 2 or Armageddon though. Those games are still solid.
