Not really, Supermans invulnerable body metabolises yellow sunlight, there is no energy for Surfer to manipulate, but red sunlight blasts... that is where he is pro at, since red sun radiation is 1 of the 2 Supermans weaknesses

When important things happen or important beings are present or about to be present or were present at some point the power cosmic can be like an akashic record for the universe. It grants the holder KNOWLEDGE they would not otherwise know. It's not telepathy. It's the universe giving you the heads up. But as to superman absorbing energy..... Surfer is leaps and bounds on a cosmic scale better at it in every conceivable way...now I think about it... Also in every inconceivable way as well, given surfers abilities anyway.

The only power of Superman's that Surfer can't outmatch is his plotarmor, which is second only to Batman's plotarmor. However, take away plotarmor, and Surfer wins. I appreciate the fact that you're trying to present each contestant separately and then comparing the two, but during the comparison, I had to stop myself several times from trying to figure out why I had 'accidentally' rewound the video. Turns out it was just that several parts were practically word for word the same during the initial description as they were during the 'comparison'. It's very distracting at times.
In terms of "abilities" yeah SS has a longer list, in terms of feats in comics Superman has way better feats and has defeated guys way more powerful than SS.

Ever since Superman took down the worldforger, he just went WAY past guys like Surfer. Superman is in a WHOLE other tierlist. And in the new comics he transcendent time and space, those concepts have lost meening to him. So no, Surfer got no chance, he is a b-tier character, when Superman can take down multiverse creaters, a Sixth Dimension creature, well then there is no reason to make a Superman vs Surfer. The Worldforger is the son of Perpetua, and among the strongest beeing in the multiverse of DC.

I read an article from some Marvel guys that said Human Touch could beat super man. This was the summary. “Johnny Storm's ability to manipulate UV light can depower Superman, making him vulnerable to defeat easily. With the power to control UV radiation, the Human Torch can strip Superman of his abilities with red sun radiation” I don’t think human tour h would win in a fight simply because Superman could get to him before he could do this. Silver Surfer could simply pull all the solar energy out of Superman's cells. Doctor Light did something similar to Superboy. However, if Superman's Bio-aura, the skin tight forcefield that surrounds Superman's body protecting his tight fitting clothing, if this aura can block Surfer's solar absorption of Superman's power, then Surfer might have some problems. Superman is much stronger than the Surfer and I believe Superman has faster reflexes. Superman could win.

A lot of people either don’t truly read comics or are really biased towards a certain character. If we take both characters at their highest peak (putting writing inconsistencies aside), Superman would def take it. One of the better argument(s) is that Norrin could potentially drain Superman’s energy, but unfortunately that is not a definitive win against Superman as this has been tried against him. Even if we normalize feats, ask yourselves this question: which character is portrayed/represented as “the one” whose story line cannot be destroyed/erased and whose conceptual narrative is literally being the centerpiece of his cosmology?

When important things happen or important beings are present or about to be present or were present at some point the power cosmic can be like an akashic record for the universe. It grants the holder KNOWLEDGE they would not otherwise know. It's not telepathy. It's the universe giving you the heads up.

Superman never blitzes opponents. He likes to take damage and decide how much he can hit back without killing. So, he eats a lot of damage because he believes, through experience, that he is invulnerable to pretty much everything. This behavior gives SS plenty of time to scan, deduct and defeat Superman. If bloodlusted, Superman stands a better chance although I think he still loses. SS is just to versatile and Superman is mostly a brawler. SS eats up brawlers.

I appreciate the fact that you're trying to present each contestant separately and then comparing the two, but during the comparison, I had to stop myself several times from trying to figure out why I had 'accidentally' rewound the video. Turns out it was just that several parts were practically word for word the same during the initial description as they were during the 'comparison'. It's very distracting at times.
In terms of "abilities" yeah SS has a longer list, in terms of feats in comics Superman has way better feats and has defeated guys way more powerful than SS.

I read an article from some Marvel guys that said Human Touch could beat super man. This was the summary. “Johnny Storm's ability to manipulate UV light can depower Superman, making him vulnerable to defeat easily. With the power to control UV radiation, the Human Torch can strip Superman of his abilities with red sun radiation” I don’t think human tour h would win in a fight simply because Superman could get to him before he could do this. However, if Superman's Bio-aura, the skin tight forcefield that surrounds Superman's body protecting his tight fitting clothing, if this aura can block Surfer's solar absorption of Superman's power, then Surfer might have some problems. If we take both characters at their highest peak (putting writing inconsistencies aside), Superman would def take it. One of the better argument(s) is that Norrin could potentially drain Superman’s energy, but unfortunately that is not a definitive win against Superman as this has been tried against him. Even if we normalize feats, ask yourselves this question: which character is portrayed/represented as “the one” whose story line cannot be destroyed/erased and whose conceptual narrative is literally being the centerpiece of his cosmology?

The only thing that matters here is that surfer can transmute matter to kryptonite and bombard superman with red sun radiation. Surfer nearly matches superman in strength and durability, but his other abilities far surpass superman's heat vision, freeze breath, and enhanced senses. Surfer wins easily, unless it's strength and fighting skills only. Then Supes takes it.
