I hope people realize the breakup of Danity Kane was inevitable. Even if Diddy hadn’t orchestrated it in that meeting, the end was near. The girls weren’t making any money so they had to look to outside sources such as writing, Broadway, etc. so recoup from being ripped off. Aubrey was too cocky let’s just be honest. She got away with a lot of stuff up to that point despite having good intentions. She was the downfall of the group. Drea never emotionally recovered from the trauma she endured before she was in the band and each season you could tell the pressure was slowly chipping at her. I have no bad things to say about Shannon or Dawn, I believe they made the best out of a bad situation. And D.Woods just got caught in the crossfires. Diddy felt she was guilty by association. All in all they tried and made some good music 😢
@@kennyroberson6216 she said they made “most” of their money from touring she never said they made a ton. They worked those girls tirelessly and they weren’t getting compensated enough. Why do you think Aubrey did Broadway, D.Woods was songwriting with another girl group, and Dawn was writing and doing demos for Diddy?
Aubrey was very logical with what she was saying. But at the end of the day, Puff runs his label the way he sees fit. At that point, the group should’ve came together to say that they are leaving and going to another label but when you have a member doing snake moves like that, it’s hard to build trust. Puff even told Aubrey that if she doesn’t like it, she can leave. I would’ve just said, “I’m done”, walk out and got a lawyer to get me out my contract. I feel that the group could’ve been bigger but that trust & foundation needs to be solid.
Aubrey was ultimately fired for not putting out and talking to Puff as a business partner rather than an employee who would address their boss. He BUILT the group AROUND her leadership capabilities and sass. She was chosen by her group members as the spokesperson for the group when having meetings to delegate their thoughts and feelings to Puff. Now, retrospectively, to me using a member to outsource demos without consulting the group for press reasons to conceal your upcoming project was a business move, not based on morale. All and all, the girls hate each other’s guts and we will never seen them all five at once within this life.
@@KahariKyles I can definitely see your points. And in an idea world, that would be the best thing. And I’m in no means defending puff because what he did was hella shady towards the group. I was just referencing that when it comes to his label, he’s the boss and he is going to do what’s best for him. In the end, he hasn’t had much success other than MJB & Biggie.
I don't care what nobody says: Diddy knew it was shady business having Dawn write for him. It's showing favoritism. Paying her under the table while all the other girls were barely making it. This is the reality of girl groups. Same thing happened with TLC, DC1, 5th Harmony, and so on. Label takes most of the money leaving them to seek money elsewhere.
I'm pretty sure Shannon didn't come back because she was upset. Aubrey only got let go because she dropped a bomb that Diddy thought was going to stay a secret. Shannon could have did a country album. D. Woods could have acted as well as songwrote. Drea could have acted but Aubrey was right NOT communicating stuff like that could put them all on an indefinite Stand Still and their lives would all be in limbo as well as their finances.
@@JKrazyAYes, he was not paying them. It was said that they were on tour and didn’t see a dime. Honestly, I don’t blame some of them for getting side gigs. Dawn was OBLIGATED TO WRITE because he bought her out her previous contract. I can’t wait until Aubrey release her REAL STORY. He def was manufacturing, manipulating, and gaslighting them.
@@fefesmith82They love to sugarcoat Aubrey’s behavior when the fact of the matter is all the girls said the break up was inevitable. It had nothing to do with Diddy he just made it happen quicker. Dawn was singing backgrounds, she didn’t have a solo deal. Meanwhile Dwoods was working with outside people and Aubrey did Broadway 🤷🏾
Aubrey had nothing to do with it. They broke up because of Diddy. He is abusive, wasn't paying them and wasn't providing any real direction or proper management... then he also was working with Dawn behind the scenes. Diddy is toxic and abusive and Im actually shocked he has never been sued for his treatment of women. Aubrey even tried to explain about management and he COMPLETELY ignored her. He even had the audacity to blame her!!! That she "allowed" herself to be around bad management. So she was supposed to up and quit the group and give up her career all because he has sh*t people working for him? he is a malignant narcissist. Then he goes on to completely ignore everything she had to say after he asked her what she thought and she said she was speaking for everyone. Having said all that, I do think they had a once in a lifetime opportunity to be everything and had they been able to be more mature and get along, they could have saved it. Dawn was a big problem too.
Dawn was not a problem. I’m positive that Puff told her not to tell the other members of the group about their project, and he truly doesn’t have to let anyone know what he’s doing. I had your same thoughts watching it as a kid, but in retrospect, the only one that was wronged in this scene was D.Woods and Andrea
Growing up is basically realizing Aubrey wasn't the main problem. On the other hand give us that Danity Kane tour on dvd, we know you have it on tapes 😭😭
1:10:05 the way diddy starts smiling/smirking when he goes to officially address the girls .. thats a sign of "dupers delight". this scene was out lined for him before they filmed this segment. he actually got off on doing this. what a narcissist.
I'm really similar to Shannon.... Shannon is the nicest one in the group.... I don't think she barely gives Diddy attitude at all and other people. She may joke around sometimes but she jokes in a really mature way that you would just know it instinctly that she is a nice person.
The part where Andrea & Shannon were laying in bed talking about what's next was kinda sad bc little did they know what would happen next!!!😢 It was so sad & heartbreaking to watch them express how they felt about the situation
11:29-13:30 I remember this back when I was a kid and thinking how they were so in love, just watching it back now, it brings me back 🥹 my favorite part ♥️ also one of my favorite songs from DK
Diddy should have been mentally evaluated for ruining these girls careers over something that seemed really personal. It’s clear that he operates off of emotion and will take u out in any way possible
When Dawn said nobody’s as answering Diddy knew he fucked up becasue he was doing that shit for Ratings not realizing his Artist was not playing with him nomore - now it’s nobody getting out there contracts🙄
When I watched this years ago, I was convinced that Aubrey felt comfortable disrespecting Puff because they had crossed the line and had a personal relationship, however, after observing her behaviour on other reality shows, I just think that she is a disrespectful arrogant person who acted humble until she was selected. Perhaps her and Puff had something going on, but Aubrey is truly this person we all saw on this show.
Diddy kept saying Y’all Ego this and Y’all Ego that but in all reality it was his ego that disbanded the group. Granted, DK was on some bs and needed therapy, Diddy went about this intervention all the wrong way.
Aubrey basically said it all, She explained on detail what was going on, Bad management!! Aundrea was trying to say it but she was intimidated by Diddy....Diddy was seeing where the narrative was going, which was that all of its all his fault as he had neglected the group...so he kept trying to push the narrative of the issue being that they don't like each other...Dawn probably felt attacked by Aubrey when she mentioned the rumored plans of diddy moving ahead with just her and started ass kissing Diddy and followed his narrative and started talking about internal petty issues which were not the main issue with the group at that moment.
I think you nailed it spot on! If Aundrea would have said what Aubrey said, Puff most likely would’ve fired Drea, and Drea felt that, so she stayed hush hush
@carlitawashington exactly they all feared him and he knew that if he did all that in front of the cameras they wouldn't dare say anything that would make him or them look bad. The only one brave enough was Aubrey and Im not a big fan of what she was doing image wise but I don't believe that was the main problem, I believe its was Diddy and history proves it
@@josac9523 exactly!! Look at all the other artists that were under him that didn’t last long. “Da Band and Day 26” are no longer around simply because of bad management. But on each season he portrayed them to be the problem to cover himself up in a “professional” light.
@@kesutap exactly! The rumors came to fruition. It was never about the group “getting along.” He probably pulled this same narrative with his girl group from the 90s called “Dream.” They were the ish! And they only lasted like 5 minutes.
Puff is a mass manipulator and bully. He urks my soul...speaking to them like that, making them feel like they did something wrong, when it was him all along. Dk had the talent and the tenacity to be an awesome group. But then again, this is the real reality of the music business!! And that sucks!! But karma oh karma came back..look at Diddy now!!
If Danity Kane came to the table like DAY26 did with Que or with Rob in a honest effort to solve their issues they would still be together. They chose to lie and hid issues to fulfill their own desires for self. If I saw a group communicate like that in a board room I would have disbanded them as well. They were using one another more than anything else. Being together the longest they should have undoubtedly displayed the strongest bond. Being lapped like they were compared to DAY26 in terms of unity and care (even on a base level) was inexcusable. There was an episode that was advertised, but didn't air (as DK was in a promo push) that would have made this more evident. That might have helped.
If you try to make women think someone in the group is jealous, its over anyways. Puff played those girls against each other to break them up. He knew exactly what he was doing!!! Only thing i hate is they didn't see it coming and just walked away together!!! Puff thought he could forever get away with bs. God had the last word
It's so crazy looking back on this episode all these years later. I like Diddy but I didn't like how he was always threatening to kick them out or telling them they can leave. All Aubrey did was ask if they could be in the know if one has plans outside the group because it affects them all, but it was always a matter of time for Aubrey because she's smart and willing to stand up for herself. I think Diddy dropped the ball with this one. He was sitting on a gold mine and he let his ego stop his bag.
Y'all can hate Puffy all y'all want and it's true that Danity Kane had so much more to give and i wish it could've happened but don't deny the fact that Aubrey absolutely wanted to be the Beyonce of the group and she thought she was the shit! Her head got extremely too big and it was effecting the group!
Man…when you are working really hard and not getting paid..it’s going to get old real quick. Aubrey realized that the money was not going to come. She took every other gig that would pay. That caused alot conflict in the group. I can see how Dawn got jealous and spread those rumors. You see another girl paying for plastic surgery and new clothes and you’re struggling. The trust has completely gone when someone within the group seems to be getting preferential treatment. Now that I know how he feels about his artists and women, the group was doomed. I miss them but it’s exciting to hear the DK remixes that are coming out featuring my favorite songs.
Rewatching this now. Aubrey really should’ve just shut up. Diddy is saying he put in hard work and gave you a opportunity and platform. Respect him and shut up. In life every time a person speaks you don’t have to respond
I wished Making the band didn’t leave a lot of the drama on the cutting room floor because you can see I’m this hour and thirteen minute episode that they went on tour and then Dawn makes the whole group breakfast no one show up except Shannon late and Aundrea I do believe Diddy has been noticing things with the group that we unfortunately not previ to I think either the ladies don’t fight on camera or they didn’t film it… I can see the clicks the Ebony and Ivory really shows me what he was talking about
The things i heard from people talking about how diddy destroy these girls career and how he was gonna drug them up and crazy things like that is crazy!! These girls went platinum and sold millions of records and released 2 albums in less then 5 years at that time. Its crazy and sad that he did them dirty like insanely dirty. They could've worked they difference out but i guess diddy had the last say so!!
@@WemissdanitykaneI don’t see how anyone would sell their soul in that meeting. He was trying to explain how this business works. @@gizchik00 I totally get it. But this man wasn’t forking out any money. They were doing everything for free pretty much and were in debt. That man played all his artist. No reason why multiple ppl would come forward calling him out.
It’s so weird how they didn’t fight for the group at all? Not fight like be combative with him, but like tactfully? They just sit there, there’s like no balance between talking kinda reckless like Aubrey does and just communicating with wisdom and clarity 🤷🏻♀️
Looking back at it now Diddy has form hella groups and most of dem break up we only know two groups dat he disbanded on national TV and difference between Da Band and Danity Kane was Danity Kane were smart enough not to put their personal drama on TV for all to see and Diddy didn’t see it that there was no communication with in them cause of tabloids and news and people in the group wanting to do other things but we all know there was more to the problem. I hated when he was like he didn’t actually fired Aubrey and D-Woods cause why tell them to leave in the first place there was other options and he chose the wrong one
what i’m assuming is that over time they realized they really dont have that much in common & werent really compatible. In the earlier seasons they kinda leaned on eachother for support through it all but once the group was together, they realized they’re more different than they are alike … especially with Aubreys change
@@jamilahs4945 that's what I was thinking too, ive always wondered what happened to them. I've also wondered about there relationships with in the group seems like dawn and d. Woods didn't really interact much.
It was never a DANITY KANE thing. yes! They girls had their issues! But it was simply Diddy with his bad business dealings and bad management. The other girls had a right to feel a way that he was using Dawn in the studio and no one knew why!! That would make me feel uncertain about my career and make me want to go off and do other endeavors too!! He always wanted to use fear and control as a way to make them work rather than giving them respect.
What did we expect, groups don't last. Although DK was very successful it would have came to an end sooner than later. We got 2 plat albums let's be thankful, have u guys heard DK3? It's ok at best.
Nothing stopped Danity Kane from regrouping and finding a new home. Diddy did not make them exclude D.Woods from a reunion. Diddy did not make Aundrea quit DK4 making them DK3. Diddy did not make Dawn punch Aubrey.

The industry is not easy. Sometimes you got to be humble. Especially starting out. To me Aubrey was a bit much starting out. You got to get there first. I was surprised Aubrey lasted long she did talking way she did especially when they werent the strongest singers like Envogue, SWV etc. So considering they got pretty far because of Diddy influence. I feel like Danity Kane members were very childish and not humble at all. It was way more ladies who could danced, looked, and sang better than most of them but they were not grateful. We all know Puff is a drama queen and does too much with his arrogance but they fumbled the bag and opportunities like no other. Aubrey was terrible and now look at her in 2023

How hypocritical is that coming from Dawn? She leaded this path for the group and was sure she would get a solo deal. Proof is: she was the only one remained signed in Bad Boys and did a project with Puff.
Actually they were making a ton touring I don't know where you got your information from Dawn said they where making alot of money from touring
👌🏽😊
Notice when she initially called him out , he changed the topic ?
@@stacyr4768 yup and she should’ve called that out and brought it back to the topic at hand.
It was basically her having another job Aubrey took hairspray n was even missing shows to do it but won't nothing wrong with that y'all buggin
Fast forward to 2024! Diddy is being exposed
wow these episodes are so relevant to his downfall now
Growing up is basically realizing Aubrey wasn't the main problem.
On the other hand give us that Danity Kane tour on dvd, we know you have it on tapes 😭😭
This hurts me to this day !! 😭😭 it did not need to go down like that.
Given how DK3 ended up and the all the in-fighting. Yes it did.
1:10:05 the way diddy starts smiling/smirking when he goes to officially address the girls .. thats a sign of "dupers delight". this scene was out lined for him before they filmed this segment. he actually got off on doing this. what a narcissist.
Diddy used Dawn and Kilenna.....remember Dirty Money? They had to write, dance, sing on his album. Everyone who's worked with him has been burned robbed
This was just a TV show for him and he didn’t think they would get as big as they did
Dawn was singing her ass off! @12:15
So true. They all had a feeling something was coming
Ooooh fast forward to today …diddy going down to the ground ♻️
They all should have been honest about the issues.
Well, u see what happens when they try to be honest with a narc like Puffy. You get gaslit and fired.
😂😂😂😂😂 look at where we are with Sean Today😂😂
11:29-13:30 I remember this back when I was a kid and thinking how they were so in love, just watching it back now, it brings me back 🥹 my favorite part ♥️ also one of my favorite songs from DK
Yess right I love all their scenes 😊
Perhaps her and Puff had something going on, but Aubrey is truly this person we all saw on this show.
i agree that once aubrey was selected she started just going crazy with all of it, having more fun than work and getting it to her head
I don't know if this is really her or who she just became because it all went to her head.
This show needs needs to be back on the air. I would love to perform with these group of people and take three this is Ms Olivia Demi Kelsey
I love danity kane and day 26 ! I have all their music til this day !❤
DK had it.
Diddy kept saying Y’all Ego this and Y’all Ego that but in all reality it was his ego that disbanded the group. Granted, DK was on some bs and needed therapy, Diddy went about this intervention all the wrong way.
3:40 the shortness she has towards aubrey and dwoods
They know Bad Boy doesn't have a budget for shirts like that 😂😂😂😂
He couldn't take it when it comes from Aubrey ❤❤❤
Looking back on this, it's crazy to me how Diddy peace outed 2 members and then weeks later, want to move everything forward with the group? Hello?
Diddys biggest mistake caught on film
Add a little spicy fact that Dawn was also solo signed to Bad Boy circa 2005. He knew what he was doing ^_^
Don’t you mean Brian?
Diddy treated the boys with more respect.
@@stacyr4768that was because he knew not to come at them crazy.
@@mmurph Day 26 said in an interview that he definitely came at them crazy a few times 😂
@@fortheladies771 that was bold of him, but then again, he was their boss.
This is my favorite tv show and I’m Ms Olivia Demi Kelsey from RUclips studios and hip-hop entertainment live
If you try to make women think someone in the group is jealous, its over anyways. Puff played those girls against each other to break them up. He knew exactly what he was doing!!! Only thing i hate is they didn't see it coming and just walked away together!!! Puff thought he could forever get away with bs. God had the last word
Is there no other part after this ??
Emotions will have you broke.
It’s gets dark and lonely. Trust me.

Wow diddy warned them about "emotions will have you ten years watching mtv and slaping yourself" ...i always thought he was a bad guy but hes right
Man…when you are working really hard and not getting paid..it’s going to get old real quick.
This was spot on! They we’re not making a lot of money. Dawn even stated that they were sewing their costumes.
@@rosalynhayes2369 It’s really sad. They all are so talented and put their very best into giving us great performance’s!
It’s crazy how que was the cuties to what he look like now
He still looks the same but older & with grown man weight.
Diddy is not a tough manager in a good way, his ego gets the better of him and he destroys himself lol
they’re practing w: britney
Orange County (D Woods 3)
Diddy shoulda communicated better.... Period
“Emotions will have you broke.” He was right…
Damn it hits deep. But I’d rather stand up for myself than to sell my soul….
Most ppl you see in the lime light have sold their soul and signed all the documents in blood.
@@WemissdanitykaneI don’t see how anyone would sell their soul in that meeting. He was trying to explain how this business works. He’s right when he says he’s chairman and CEO of a major corporation and someone is going to question his judgement. Even if all that was true about Dawn, who cares, keep banging out platinum albums as a group because at least you’d still have a job. I miss Danity Kane too but i can see where he’s coming from.
@@gizchik00 I totally get it. But this man wasn’t forking out any money. They were doing everything for free pretty much and were in debt. That man played all his artist. No reason why multiple ppl would come forward calling him out.
Dawn didn’t sell anybody out. She knew how to move tf
So unfair that Aubrey o day and D wood got kicked out
I'm sorry but I think Diddy was right about Aubrey. Today she is a s** worker, so obviously this was the direction she was going towards
Puff mess this up. They had potential to be bigger than TLC and Destiny Child in my opinion!
It’s so weird how they didn’t fight for the group at all? Not fight like be combative with him, but like tactfully? They just sit there, there’s like no balance between talking kinda reckless like Aubrey does and just communicating with wisdom and clarity 🤷🏻♀️
It was clear there was a lot individuality and not the group.
Fairy tales are maple leaves
Looking back at it now Diddy has form hella groups and most of dem break up we only know two groups dat he disbanded on national TV and difference between Da Band and Danity Kane was Danity Kane were smart enough not to put their personal drama on TV for all to see and Diddy didn’t see it that there was no communication with in them cause of tabloids and news and people in the group wanting to do other things but we all know there was more to the problem. I hated when he was like he didn’t actually fired Aubrey and D-Woods cause why tell them to leave in the first place there was other options and he chose the wrong one
Puff was right
Why did drea and Aubrey fall out? They were super close in the earlier seasons
what i’m assuming is that over time they realized they really dont have that much in common & werent really compatible.
They were lip-syncing half the time though. U know someone’s lip syncing when they wear a headsets
I love dawn in a relationship wish they had to stay together
Yeah he really messed it up for real because of his pride
14:04 Will just read Aubrey! 🤣
Diddy was right they messed up their own career cos of Squabbles. He gave them a clean chop but they would have messed it up anyway
What he would say that fairy tales are real but they're not 🚫 t and that's the truth
Aubrey O'Day and Puff Daddy ruined Danity Kane with their own big egos
Diddy is the boss, if Aubrey want to do naked cover sha had to live the group. Isnt' the direction that Diddy want for Danity Kane.

@@ninasky7 So she should have lied and waited for a bigger implosion?
Nothing stopped Danity Kane from regrouping and finding a new home. Diddy did not make them exclude D.Woods from a reunion. Diddy did not make Aundrea quit DK4 making them DK3. Diddy did not make Dawn punch Aubrey.
@@marian.pDK was doing just fine even with Aubrey’s raunchy actions . Actually, she was the break out star . Which they paid for with their tour money
Dawn sold them all out

No she isn’t
The industry is not easy. Sometimes you got to be humble. Especially starting out. To me Aubrey was a bit much starting out. You got to get there first. I was surprised Aubrey lasted long she did talking way she did especially when they werent the strongest singers like Envogue, SWV etc. So considering they got pretty far because of Diddy influence. Case of one bad apple spoil whole bunch. And noone else picked them up. Sometimes got to bit the bullet, humble yourself till you get to next level. Have some bargaining power I'm speaking generically and not specific to Diddy. It the biz

Que is definitely not on drugs or alcohol & he definitely takes care of himself
You sound like you've been a snide since birth 💯what a narly thing to say
Dawn didn't give Diddy there telephone numbers though did she, she secretly wanted to go solo, Diddy abused these girls. They had the chance to speak up and they didn't, Aubrey kept talking, think she got too comfortable, it's a shame her and Andrea wasn't close really heartbreaking hope they've mended things over the years
That's cap
I feel like Danity Kane members were very childish and not humble at all. It was way more ladies who could danced, looked, and sang better than most of them but they were not grateful. We all know Puff is a drama queen and does too much with his arrogance but they fumbled the bag and opportunities like no other. Aubrey was terrible and now look at her in 2023
Yea I can’t imagine being in a position to make some real money and do big things and yet let emotions and fighting between members lose it all smh…it had to a have been BIG things to risk losing it all…even if puff was an asshole, he was in his position so you had to respect it and he had good direction and ideas…ppl act like he didn’t say ANY thing that made sense…and that just wasn’t what I saw

Proof is: she was the only one remained signed in Bad Boys and did a project with Puff. But the girl wasn't the star of DK, she's not very likable and she has a good voice but it wasn't enough to make it succeed as a soloist. She came back flop after flop. You guys don’t think before you speak, huh 😂
Dawn was under a contract. She had to do the projects Diddy had her doing. She literally had no choice. I definitely think that Aubrey could have articulated herself in a more respectful tone.
