I have an idea: turning Pokémon silhouettes into new Pokémon. This would be really hard but really fun.

When I worked at Walmart and Pokémon go came out we joked about a Walmart inspired mon, its name was Instock a normal psychic type that’s just a cute cluster of boxes. We gave it two evolutions, Overstock a psychic fighting type and Outastock a normal ghost type

5:10 I need to point out that Graphite caused the Chernobyl reactor to 'Chernobyl'.
Modern nuclear reactors don't have Graphite and the Soviet one was outdated even by their standards. The Graphite is actually what caused the terrible contamination of the city of Chernobyl, as the radiation released by the broken reactor would have dispersed more quickly if it hadn't had Graphite dust to stick to while the reactor burned down.
I mean, I think the fact that the graphite was what caused the reactor to blow up at all was a *bit* more of a factor than the radioactive material sticking to the dust, but whatever.

Fun fact: McDonalds isn't a restaurant chain, it's a Real Estate company. Mcdonalds corporate only runs a single restaurant, and it's more of a company cafeteria than a public eatery.

I made a pokémon called "klefkhaos". It was just klefki with comically oversized key to the city.
"To keep it from Cheronobyl-ing" is a concise way describing meltdowns. I'll have to remember the term.
With Amazon, I was initially thinking you could incorporate an atlatl, an ancient device that allows for increased range on throwing (delivering) a spear. I like the one you went with, getting into the competetive nature.

I love that you're really finding the balance between improvisational flow and your typical, professional tone. And as always, the designs and rendering are just top-tier.
I legitimately love the warning you put for the bug, most don't do that and it usually creeps me the hell out.
As a former walmart employee, I definitely think a walmart pokemon should have an exhausted, overworked, and depressed demeanor to it
Ive got an idea: you show poketubers a fakemon, and they have to guess what you based it off of (an animal, idea, or theme) and make their own pokemon with the concept that they think you made yours with.
I love how you explain your design process! It really gives you insight of how you thought the Fakemon out!
First off Ron, huge fan of your fakemon and collab vids, but i just wanted to say. You have been a huge inspiration for me geeting back in to art and drawing. With out getting to in to my super villian origin story, I was briefly in art school but dropped out due to a combo of health, money, and self esteem issues. I couldn't help but compare and hate on my work, and that stopped me from even drawing for fun. But seeing how far your work has come and how lighthearted you keep everything has been a real driving force in getting me back into it (along with inspo from other facets of life and the internet) But ive since started taking drawing courses and relearning the basics, im learning to see work im not proud of as a stepping stone rather then a roadblock. I dont think I'm in a position to go back to school for it right now, but there is nothing more cathartic then doing what you love for yourself and im ok with that right now. Its weird to say that a stranger on the internet has been such a positive force on me, but genuinely, thank you man.
Im not usually one to spill it on the internet, but ive been trying to make a point to be a more positive person and spread that positivity where I can. I hope this helps even one other person reignite a passion or pick up a pencil for the first time. The world needs little more art and joy right now.

I believe a cool idea for this series would be "what if brands from the real world existed in the pokemon world?" and with that you have 2 options:
1-Those brands select pokemon that already exist to represent them (your fakemon)
2- Those brands selectively breed pokemon to create their perfect mascot (your fakemon)
I think it'd be cool to see how you'd interpret making fakemon based on obscure emotions
Examples include chrysalism, Opia, Vellichor, Kuebiko, Zenosyne, Rubatosis.
These are all great designs!! Because of the insanely predatory practices of these companies, I feel like they should all have been dark type though 😂😂
Araclown was so ADORABLE, i use to be scared of Spiders but I've grown to love them....i mean spider with a chibi Clown on it is just FAB!

Araclown’s cool but it feels weird that the clown is just at the top of the head it’s not ass misleading as it’s directly attached to the Pokémon. It would make more sense for a spider and design wise I’d maybe the clown was like the little butt segment of the spider.

11:43 I like this colour scheme. I prefer the pre-final-edit eyes of the chameleon fakemon, though. They suit the rest of the body better, give it a personality and make it more approachable that way, in contrast to the final design’s blank, animalistic stare. They feel more mature when it comes to your art style - which in fact is continuously improving and I’m very impressed with how far you’ve come as an illustrator. Maybe you defaulted to the old kind of eyes you used to use by habit. Great concept overall, tho 🫰

I like how henever you're making a ghost type, you always make the pokedex wholesome instead of dark and scary like the traditional ghost type. You basically like reverse gamefreak.
I just want to say the shiny versions of your fakemons are always fire and I’m so happy you always include them.
As much as I know they're tiny compared to stuff like McDonald's or Amazon, I'd love to see what Ron would do with a Big Blue Bubble monster. 100% would have to include MSM in some way

I think it would be interesting if you drew pokemon based on the shape of cities/countries as seen in world maps (like how Japan look like a snake/dragon). Whenever I see the map of Montreal I think of a cute crocodile with a bulb for a tail, so I think it has potential for some cool designs.
Chamarathon is definitely my favorite. Personally I’m not a huge fan of the zigzag tail. I would’ve left that just in a curve continuing the shape of the arrow but otherwise I absolutely adore it. I would love to have that on my team.
5:13 I know what Chernobyl is I'm 15 right now but I learned about it at 12 because I love to learn! And there were a bunch of horror games made about it! And I LOVE horror!

Here's an idea for you:
For this, it would take the gym leader's design and invert it. If male, make female. If young man, turn into teen girl. If broad, like Bruno, make slim. Though, since he has a skinny waist, perhaps big belly but lanky female body? And vice versa on hair too: if hair covers the forehead, uncover it. If hair covers ears, uncover it. If hair is messy, smooth it out. If hair is naturally straight, make it naturally curly. etc. If hair is long, make it short.
For hair, if hair is black, make it blonde. If hair is dark red, make sandy blonde. If dark brown, make bright red. If an unusual hair color, use the color wheel and use opposite color on the wheel(like, purple would become yellow. Blue would become orange).
Even do the same for clothes. Bruno wears no shirt, so female would have multiple layers, like undershirt, business jacket, winterjacket overtop. If outfit is simple, make it complex. If outfit is manly, make it girly. So many options.
And for the type combinations, had to assign them opposites. Took some time to have them all assigned such, since some were hard to decide. Feel free to change them if you feel like it, but this is what I came up with:
Normal/Dragon(both feral, one waiting for the right instinct to strike, and the other full offense)
Fire/Water
Grass/Bug(an odd one out, but both tend to be a flurry of their element to attack with, just one with plants and one with organic)
Electric/Ice(High energy/Low energy)
Fighting/Poison(straight on strengthening/undermining strength)
Ground/Flying
Rock/Steel(primitive/advanced)
Psychic/Dark(see through truth/misdirect and deceive)
Fairy/Ghost(both ethereal, one dark/one light)
Could even include inversions to the pokemon too. Like, for Hitmonchan, you have the option of either turning him into a kicker, which already is done with Hitmonlee and top... or, you could take the idea of: fights with limbs, and invert it to strikes with body instead.
still surprised you haven't turned hazbin hotel characters into pokemon yet XD

Edit: I would like to request My Singing Monsters (MSM) as Pokemon if that’s possible. I think it would be great and the only downside I can think of is simplifying the 3, 4 & 5 element monsters into two element Pokemon…
The spider burger made me think of Bug Snacks so perhaps an episode turning other monster colecter games into pokemon? Maybe look into an Indie game I love called Ooblets! it's like pokemon but with dance battles instead of fighting~

I love the RUclips Pokemon. I actually have a whole story coming to mind for this Fakemon. It's basically about how it's trainer passed away before they could say goodbye and how it uses its ability to project what it sees to bring her back. It would act like it's trainer is still alive only for the hero of the series to help it find peace and come to terms with it's loss. I personally like this idea for a plotline.

Loved the video, but graphite would not be a good idea to put around a Nuclear reactor, graphite slows down the speed of radioactive molecules allowing them to split more times, generating more energy and heat and Graphite being involved had a large role to play in Chernobyl's explosion Edit** The material you would use for the "shell" 0f a reactor is Carbon Steel, with a thin layer of Austentic Stainless Steel in front to prevent corrosion
Idea: Turn a normal Pokemon into two that could fuse together into the original Pokemon, like the opposite of Pokemon fusion.

These are all pretty good, though the Amazon one is the weakest of the bunch. If I were to redesign it, I think I'd try to combine a sting rey and a delivery drone. Make the arrow unto a devilish tail and a false smile pattern on its underside, while it's real face "looks down" on the world.
For Araclown the clown head looks like also somewhat melted ice cream & Coripe’s shiny ✨ can be based on the golden apple from various mythology

IDEA: Turn old cultures into pokemon? Its kind of bad wording, but I dont know what else to say. For example, turning samurai, vikings, and knights into 3 pokemon, maybe even with 3 evolutions for their soldier classes. Also, trying to make each one have a type advantage on another in some way would be interesting, especially if you made the descriptions talk about their rivalry
