@ewallisonjr i believe so. People routinely keep "hitchhiking lings," and I've never seen any regulations stating the hook must be in the mouth for rockfish or halis
Judging from the fish eyes not popping out, definitely not 350ft deep. Rockfish including lingcod and others are closed after Sept 30th. This vid was release only hrs ago making everyone think the fishing trip was only days before.
Geez?! What would you do if this video was up for years? Would these same people expect you to take it down every time the fish weren't legal to catch. Come on guys...pretty obvious. Stop trying to be a RUclips DFG officer 👮 If you think you're helping or wanna help, get out there make a video on the regulations, edit it (tell me how long that takes😅) then watch the comments come in next time the regulations change that you're wrong. Relax enjoy the video and stop being an armchair quarterback, RUclips DFG officer, or keyboard warrior. Relax...
Looking forward to your next Portabote adventure.
Great catch! Always fish for rockfish, never tried for hali
Heck Yeah!! Big fish!
You lifted that boat over your head like it’s less than 50 lbs, hopefully you can find some info on the crack and repair it.
@Adventurewithnhia there are some ways to extend it, but ill probably just get a new one when the crack finally splits
butt on the vertical jig, nice! never saw ppl doing that before, so cool!
@rc3443 thanks for watching!!
Damn, score on the halis!
@@shotgunaaron thanks for watching!
Great catch! As the portabote is light, can easily move on the water. How do you know you are back to the exact same spot?
I mark the spot on my fishfinder or google maps!
Great job! Nice ones!
@@CH_Alpha thanks!
Those are some massive fish. Question about the one where you said it wasn't in the mouth... Is that legal?

what rod, reel and line were you using? looks like penn?
@@seanhartnett-h6w exact models are in the description, but I was using the tsunami jigging rod and a psicifun alijoz reel
top shot the braid with some mono and your lure won't foul up as much
@WEFISHN i use a 30lb mono leader, it's just this lure
Near shore rock fishing is closed…
@@AquaticLife101 yep, this footage is from Sept

@@CChang287 i put the date at the beginning of each video. I also mention that the season is closed in October and Dec. This was filmed 9/2
