Teddy...one of the craziest characters we've had as a President, still totally sane and normal compared to Trump. Easily one of my favorite historical people.

I think the DOJ decided to base the case on a more serious aspect of his behaviour. He's charged with election interference and business record violations, which more accurately reflects the wider scope of his crimes in this case. (Not just one instance but several.) But I agree, that should have been charged too.

This is about the 2016 election that perhaps SHOULD have been overturned because of the election interference involved. This case is about falsifying business records about a hush money payment made to influence an election that Trump won only on electoral technicality. Trump has never won a general election based on popular vote.
