- I left the Lower Zambezi National Park area to enter the Eastern part of Zambia. Although I have to drive to Lusaka, the capital of the country, to drive East and to reach the incredible South Luangwa National Park. I spend a couple of days in Lusaka where I meet a few other overlanders, and where I see Franco and Camilla. The camping I'm staying at is quite known for overlanders crossing Africa because it's got a strategic location: indeed, you have to cross the capital of Zambia to drive East to West or the other way around. Also, I enjoy this lovely and quiet campsite to do some laundry (they have a few washing machines for the travelers) and to wash my beddings. I finish to edit a RUclips video and I'm ready to hit the road the following morning. I stop by my African ladies on the road to buy fresh veggies and fruits, and to have a nice chat with the locals. It takes me 1.5 hours to cross the capital, it's huge and very busy, and to be back driving into the bush. The road to get to the South Luangwa is a very long drive (500km) and challenging: busy road, potholes, small villages, pedestrians, cattle, and hilly route. Anyway, I decide to stop halfway, near the village of Simengoa by the Luangwa river. And for the thousand time of the adventure, I arrive in pitch dark.

Ah Charline, (and I know I have said this to you before!) you know I love everything you post on your Instagram account, but I also love just as much the different pace of your youtube videos. It means we get to see details of the everyday life on the road, the sights you see, the people you meet, the sounds, (thankfully NOT the smells!) the way the streets in the towns and cities look, the bouncing through potholes (!) and the beauty of the scenery when you drive through the bush.
And what an amazing and beautiful record of this African overlanding adventure.
