Yeah I don't get why they got rid of the school - unless it due to teens not watching much anymore/them tending to watch stuff on streaming services? If they'd kept it, then it would've been a good way to introduce fostering again and new families.
@@lunalove9395 it's been years since I watched the show. Is there really no fostering anymore? That was the entire premise of the show! It's what the title refers to.
@@angelicasmodel I haven't watched in about a year either haha but no - I think they weren't allowed to keep filming at the school, so pretty much all of the characters are in their 20s/30s now (minus the older main stays) and its definitely shifted to be more young adult. They had the odd teen for a guest spot but that was about it.
lets not forget that he is from a certain generation being the age he was even back then so even if in reality realistically he held those bigoted prejudiced opinions views then we cant blame him condemn him for being like that for the age he was back then

They really need high schools kids in todays home and away. They have none and the school is never seen anymore.

Imagine what that old codger would think of the bay, and Australia, now? It's far more diverse than it was back then. He'd probably have a stroke.
I don’t remember this on British TV. I wonder if it was edited out?
I think it must've been; they often made edits to the show for language etc.
I'm in Australia and don't remember this storyline either. It was 30+ yrs ago though....
3:47 mic got in the camera. seen that happen many times before
Hope someone was fired for that blunder 😂

The father is right.
Australia is an indigenous person’s country!
Joe Nope.
The father speaks for all proud bigots.
You're not even Australian.
Look at Western countries now.
