Worse still if you are on a grooved highway the tires will climb the sides of the groove. This is especially bad on a wet road, it can cause you to lose control or hydroplane or both.
I have ford fusion 235/50/17. Which size should I get? And I would like to know if nexen tires are reliable enough in very hot weather, in my country it sometimes gets 45 to 50 degrees.

I believe you are referring to sidewall, not firewall... Firewall is between your engine compartment and your dashboard.
