I literally stopped watching before halftime. Looked later and saw it was a 2 point game and was like oh danm we nearly came back. I'm content with it. Wish we could have pulled it off though.
Mckinney was gifted that pick. Every1 and their mother knew he never had control. I loved the announcers collective "what" when it was upheld from commercial break. I honestly have no idea what the zebra saw on that...he bobbled it 4 times on the way down. Never had it/never established footing. Odd
Love walked into the building rocking the Favre four, we should've known he was gonna throw four tugs and three ints considering the gun slingers they are/were. Love this team, a lot of lessons learned in weak four.
As a Vikings fan this game was a gut check. We took our foot off the gas in the second half (and to be fair, your defense got MUCH better in the second half), and the fourth quarter was very sphincter-tightening.
I can just say, there was too many missed opportunities and on top of that, not executing on the little thing on both sides of the ball for the Packers. Even though the Packers showed resiliency and Jordan Love throughout the whole game playing with that sprain MCL. Love showed a lot of toughness and I can't be more proud of him. There is a lot to clean up on both sides of the ball, onto the next game.
Gute has a bad habit of getting rid of good players to soon, Aaron jones, Rasul Douglas, Mason Crosby....stop trying to constantly change to roster at the expense of solid players that are play makers. Then he keeps guys who are truly garbage far too long, Mo Drayton, Anders Carlson, Joe Barry..... Damnit Gute, i bet Narveson stays around for the entire season.
You can’t keep all your good players. That’s just the business. Mason Crosby was not good anymore, he was struggling to make 50 yard kicks. His leg is gone and there’s a reason why he’s not on a roster rn. Rasul was aging so we got good value for him. If it wasn’t for Gute Rasul wouldn’t have been on the team in the first place. This whole idea of not changing is why the packers haven’t been able to win a sb since 2011. Doing the same thing every year and expecting different results is the definition of insanity
Both Rodgers and Favre awesome in so many ways, Brett did make awesome comebacks but few could top Aaron’s Monday night game against Chicago. I’ll accept this hopefully one off game even it had that Favre quality. You have to do what you have to do and three int’s are the bummer.
@@julienalexander6113Its football bozo, literally everyone is hurt, go look what George Kittle has to say about it. 2 picks wasn't even love's fault. The wicks one was 50/50 bc on that route you undercut the safety which he clearly did not do. Love threw for 4 TDs and 400 yards and you still talk like all he did was throw picks. Willis would have gotten decimated this game unfortunately, love salvaged what he could and made the game almost winnable. All that happened was a few flukes. He went out slinging and that is all you can ask for. He shows signs of someone that can win. But you are too ignorant to see that
Almost won but the offense was trash in the first half and the kicker was not good. The offense and defense made adjustments in the second half so good but the penalties and turnovers continue to be a problem a little bit
The Blackers got beat by a better team, and a better coach today, and I really don’t see how you could argue the point. We were at home, and got embarrassed, and GB was never really going to come back and win this thing. Just because I’m a GB fan does not mean I can’t admit the truth. Love was NOT ready, and the Viking defense was a bully, something I routinely see from GB, and it will be even worse against the Lions. I predicted from the start it would 1. Lions 2. Vikings 3. GB and now I’m worried about the doormats. We need a smart HC, who will hire the BEST avaiable asst coaches, not his buddies…..our defense is not one ounce better than last year, we need a GM who values intelligence, football intelligence above 40 times.
I'm not even mad honestly, think how different the game would've been if Jordan would have been 100 and Jaier would have played. I don't even think Jordan wasn't 100% physically I think it was all mentally.

Finally!! someone who is seeing what I’m seeing. We saw this in the game against Denver, the raiders, the niners. Every time. He just chucks it up over the middle and puts float on it 🙄
Refs calling back three plays in a row is crucial, Emmanuel wilson 20 yard run vs a shanked holding call, Romeo Doubs “drop”, Wicks “drop” Then love throws it into double coverage on 4th down😍
The issue with this game was the turnovers and the fact that the team fell behind it put too much stress on Love coming off an injury. He was pressing and wasn’t getting the help in the running game like Willis was in in his starts
Thanks for the recap of this sad game. I blame The Gute and the special teams coaching staff for Kicker woes. Giving up 28 points in the first half is inexcusable. The good thing I see is there was no quit and if the team improves it might be a good season. Go! Pack!! Go!!!
Kicker sold the game hard core. Love sold three possessions hardcore. Offense in general sold hard core Our defense was the only part of the team carrying us after they adjusted to the Vikings run game.
The muffed punt at the end of the first half was an absolute gift. Completely unforced, just a gift. The Packer's comeback was all sparked by a gift. And of course, what would a football game in Lambeau be without a couple gifts from the refs. The interception that wasn't an interception, the absolute gift of a spot the Packers got on 4th and 1. But, sure, the Packers almost won... I'm glad Packer fans are happy with their loss. You seriously sound like Vikings fans LMAO!
The interceptions, Missed FG's, Penalties were the killers. At least they showed face and it ended up being close. But unfortunately there's way too much that needs to be cleaned up. I'm sure they'll build on it and hopefully correct the issues. Sucks Watson got injured again and I'm ready for them to bring in a different kicker. Looking forward to seeing a victory next week!! All I can say is that this is our punishment for allowing Aaron Jones to become a Viking. I hope Brian Gutekunst feels nothing except regret over his stupidity. You don't let one of your best offensive players become a key player for your rivals. Let's stop pretending Brian is some genius who has won us Super Bowls.
Brian Gutekunst is the only reason why so many people call the packers contenders. Us packers fans have to realize that players leave, it’s apart of the game. We didn’t lose because Aaron Jones was on the Vikings. We lost because Jordan love threw 3 picks and the offense struggled to score in the first half.
After church, I saw the score was 28-0. I didn’t bother to watch the game. Sounded like I missed an exciting 4th quarter. Go Pack, Go! I liked Brett Favre’s tweet to JL, “ Don’t let this game define you. #4”
In a nutshell in the 1st half the Packers were very poor and pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong, and the Vikings were close to perfect. The longer the 2nd half went on the better the Packers got and Darnold started getting a little nervous. There were some bad plays or throws by Love, your choice, down the stretch, but regardless getting the game close was a hell of a comeback, regardless how it occurred.
Yes, Green Bay came back, and made it interesting. Had they of scored both of those field goals this would have been even closer, but if we’re going to do the woulda, coulda, shoulda stuff then let’s acknowledge the interception by Darnold was *not* in-bounds before he had full control and the muffed punt was merely a fluke due to being blinded by the sun most likely. The 4th & 1 likely would have been a field goal attempt had this been even closer; personally didn’t like the call to go for it regardless of the score. Green Bay played very well in the second half but to barely offer the Vikings any praise for how well they also played is such a homer thing to do. I remember the big-talk before the season started about how bad the Vikings would be and now they’re undefeated through four weeks.
Game looks different if that Darnold INT is called correctly. Good comeback to yall. I was hoping the Vikes would make a statement, but the Pack ended up making the statement. My ah was puckered that whole second half.
It drives me crazy when they say if they made that field goals we would have won making those field goals would have changed the whole game kick off everything so you can't say that it wasn't that close to begin with McKinney's interception was not an interception
Hell I remember one game in '64 where the Packers lost by a point to the Colts after Paul Hornung missed an extra point then 2 weeks later they lost by a point to the Vikings after Hornung missed an extra point then 2 weeks after that they lost to the Colts again, this time by 3 points, after Hornung missed five (5) [yes FIVE!] field goal attempts! Talk about demoralizing....
Anyone blaming this loss on a single player needs to chill. This was a team loss. Defense got shredded at times, missed field goals, fumble, no pass rush most of the game, INTs, lots of drops, and penalties on penalties. Love wasn't the reason we lost, Narveson wasn't the reason we lost, the team was the reason we lost.
As a Vikes fan, you can have your 2 field goals if we can have the Jalen Nailor muff back. You'd have lost 52 to 6. That momentum swing at the end of the half was INSANE. . .
“What Ifs” the Vikings could’ve won by 14+ if you do the same exercise with them instead of the Packers. When it really mattered at the most key moments the Vikings won.
Love looked rusty game 1. Who is the genius that thought he would play better in only his 2nd game of the season, with an injury? Love himself said he was not 100%. Did we play better in the 2nd half or did Minnesota let up a bit? I for one am not sold on Love being a $50m QB. Every talks about how great he was the end of last season and discounts how horrible he was prior to that. I just think the sample size was too small to go all in on him.
I’m a Viking fan, so my opinion is pretty unbiased here. Love made a nice comeback second half, sure he threw 3 interceptions, but he is definitely a top 10 qb and possibly a top 5 when he gets half way through the season. Sample size is still small, but his potential looks crazy good. Just a Vikes opinion. He looked crazy rusty this game
And don't forget when Love started to play decent ball the 2nd half of last season we also had A. Jones return back to the field also. Stupid to let go of A.Jones imo. I am getting a bad feeling about giving Love all that money based on one good half of a season.
Been saying all along, He's a bum! He is another Brett favre who just launches the ball up and hope something happens! I think he might have a little bit of Aaron Rodgers as well the no clutch Gene! It's not a good thing to be compared to either one of those quarterbacks because between Brett favre and Aaron Rodgers, we only have two rings ever since 1992. What exactly have the Packers gotten away with?
Can we also talk about our head coach also calling nothing but pass plays. Kyle Shanahan, probably the best offensive minded coach in the game, runs the ball a lot. He doesn't ask too much from his quarterbacks. Why doesn't our coach do that. We have 2 good backs. RUN the ball!!
I got to give the Packers O line some credit. It would have been an 8 sack game with those crazy blitz. They kept love pretty clean in the pocket. Love just took too long to make a decision.
Just like last year, we got film on them now with Sam at qb we will get them next time when love is actually healthy. Wish we would have used malik in the 2nd though

Scoop, we are a great team!!!! Sometimes we gotta sit around and pray the kicker will come around...... this is one of those times. Unless another option crops up. I wonder when the NFL will prioritize kickers over other positions....
I said last we shouldn’t have played JLove. If he was 100% physically he was 100% mentally confident. Idk if Willis would have made a come back or would the team be in losing situation. Alexander not playing today is crazy from a random quad and groin injury almost seem he was indeed slinking action. But we will see the Vikings again and I don’t think came maintain their streak the way they have. Defense we weren’t blitzing Darnold at all until the 2nd half, we allowed him to be comfortable. We had enough chances to overcome those missed FGs but kickers are still a problem for us.
This game wasnt close. The interception against Darnold wasnt a INT even close. Our 4th down was converted by atleast a foot and they didnt give it. We blew the Packers away today, dont kid yourself.
I honestly felt like we didn't need Jordan this game. His passes didn't have the same fire behind them that they usually have. He kept jumping throwing and throwing off of his back foot. He hurt us more than he helped us 🤦I really think Malik Willis could have got the job done, and Jordan could have come back next week 100%
If the packers make those two FGs, it changes the whole complexion of the game and the Vikings approach the game differently when the score gets closer. It’s lame and disingenuous to say “if we make those FGs we win.”
It you want to say "We make the kicks, we win the game." Could a Vikings fan just say "we don't muff that punt, we win the game."--? The truth is that this game was not really all that close.
Penalties, 2 missed FGs, 3 INTs all contributed to what shoulda, woulda, coulda been a Queens loss. Still, a pretty gritty 4th quarter but, in my opinion, it should rarely if ever, get down to that. All I can hope for is they pull things together and when we go to MN we can hand them a home loss. I've hung my hat on the Queens eventual implosion for decades but the reality is, at some point, they will not destroy themselves. We'll have to do it on our own.
The Pack should give Anders a call. He really didn't play that bad as a rookie kicker. The Pack were a mess on offense until the second half. Love was not ready for this one. He did make some good throws in the second but he also made some terrible throws. Love led Watson into a moving freight train. Love still needs to improve his accuracy. Most of the top QBs throw to their receivers high and ahead of them, at least chest high. Love seems to throw a lot of low balls and sometimes very high balls behind the receiver. Love also should shorten his release so that he doesn't appear too obvious to the opposing D. The easy ones should be short and quick. the deep shots need a wider arm angle. The pump fakes should be short and quick too. There were also a lot of dropped passes. The D didn't execute a good strategy in the first half. In the second half, it looked like the coaches made adjustments and the D turned into the steel curtain. Vikings were hot going into this game, so it wasn't a bad game. The Pack need a win to compete in the division.

Was a good game still tbh wish we could’ve done better in the first half & made those fgs.. still gotta clean up those penalties as well
Watson and Alexander need to be traded away because of how easy they get hurt or injury prone they are. Get some real defense edge rushers
0:16 It's not just "If our kicker made on of the field goals, we would have won." It's also "If we had just scored one more touchdown" or "If we had just allowed one less touchdown" or "if we hadn't allowed that field goal." It hurts without a doubt, but to see them come as close as they did tells us that this team is still plenty capable of doing great things and going far this season.
I literally stopped watching before halftime. Looked later and saw it was a 2 point game and was like oh danm we nearly came back. I'm content with it. Wish we could have pulled it off though.
I’m mad at the Packers right now.
Why? it's positive things to take away from this!

Mckinney was gifted that pick. Every1 and their mother knew he never had control. I loved the announcers collective "what" when it was upheld from commercial break. I honestly have no idea what the zebra saw on that...he bobbled it 4 times on the way down. Never had it/never established footing. Odd
If I were coach Malik would have entered the game after the first quarter Love played very sluggish! And for shit sake get a kicker , .
Paid Love too much to not have him play.
That's why you're not a coach 😂
@@jessefay4984 your right ! Not at that level anyway.
When you spot the other team 28 it's pretty tough to come back and win even with a good performance later in the game.
@@rmcmillan469 Narvenson probably will be there all year who else is there. Who

Both Rodgers and Favre awesome in so many ways, Brett did make awesome comebacks but few could top Aaron’s Monday night game against Chicago. I’ll accept this hopefully one off game even it had that Favre quality. You have to do what you have to do and three int’s are the bummer.

No we didn’t almost win…….WE LOST

Vikings only played one good half, it will be a different story next time around

Thanks for the recap of this sad game. I blame The Gute and the special teams coaching staff for Kicker woes. Giving up 28 points in the first half is inexcusable. The good thing I see is there was no quit and if the team improves it might be a good season. Go! Pack!! Go!!!

Our defense was the only part of the team carrying us after they adjusted to the Vikings run game.
A loss is a loss. Period. Especially in our own division. No kicker, defense is pathetic, no excuse Drill Sergeant
Should of played Willis
It drives me crazy when they say if they made that field goals we would have won making those field goals would have changed the whole game kick off everything so you can't say that it wasn't that close to begin with McKinney's interception was not an interception

It's a nice win for the Vikings. That said, the Packers offense looks absolutely deadly
Might as well bring back the old kicker
@@Utah57668 great point that I didn’t even think about. Jones was fresh the end of last season and had a great late season.

Yeah but those turnovers by Love have absolutely killed games. Comeback doesnt matter when he throws like that. Literally led to Minnesota tds
Coaching failure. Matt LaFleur is not a good coach. He is a good MEDIOCRE coach.

Each team played one good half. Story of the game.
If those FGs would've been made you can't say that your assumption would've played out O'Connell got real conservative with the lead.
My favorite word this week is "almost" SKOL!
The Pack need a win to compete in the division.
trade for the Patriots kicker he just made a 60 yarder

As much as I wanted to talk shit, that was a crazy game. Don’t feel like it should’ve been that close but heyyy looks like it’s showing which team(s) are at top of the NFC
We need to fix the kicker issue whatever it takes. Yes there are other problems. But this is the one that's going to keep costing us game after game and it's been an issue for years now. YEARS! It's like having a slow leak in your car tire that you keep trying to use fix-a-flat for, it's not a huge deal but it'll continue to ruin your trips time after time.
Two things: 1. I hate LeFluers rookie kickers and 2. Jones>Jacobs.
Kinda sucks how we gave up Arron jones for a mid running back who only averages 4 yards per carry 🤦♂
I wouldn't have let Narveson in the locker room. Hopefully they gave him his bus ticket out of town while he was on the sidelines after the game.
Packers beat themselves in that 1st half.
To be fair the int wasn't a real int and it seemed like the viking were trying to force jones a td which help with the comeback
There’s no such thing as “almost” in pro sports.. just wins and losses
The Jackal Hyde switch at half time begs a question of NFL legitimacy.. very very strange game and as a Vikings fan its a W but i felt dirty after the win.
The D going into the soft ver 2 shell after dominated the 1st half was very strange. Anyhow.. good comeback by the Packers & Vikes gotta stay aggressive.
