What a beautiful Tilaawah - so much power & feeling in his recitation! :) Baaraka Allahu feehi, wa Jazaahu khayral-Jazaa`. .... I remember when he came to Maryland & visited our Masjid in College Park. That was last Ramadan. And I got to meet him & shake his hand :D :D
Yes, I agree (to think good of the Muslims) But let's not cast judgement on those who cast judgement on others. May Allah guide us all to what is good and correct, ameen
And when the true believers are called to Allâh and His Rasul (SallAllâhu Alayhi Wasallam) [to accept and practice the law and commands of Allâh and His Rasul (SallAllâhu Alayhi Wasallam)] that he may pass judgement upon them, their ONLY reply is 'We hear and obey.' Such men shall surely prosper." [24:51
@shaykha you're right it is fard fatuas have been issued stating that it is only a sunnah of our prophets s.a.s "shafii fiq" nut if we read imam shafii's book "kitabul umm" it is stated to be "makruh" for one to "TRIM" and HARAM to "SHAVE IT" and like you said yes we didnt see this in none of the 3 generations after the rassul s.a.s and that is who we should follow for the rassul s.a.s him self said so.
But it does say in the Sunnah, which is the second source of Quran :) Complements and explains the Quran does it not? And Allah SWT says in Quran Obey Allah AND His Messenger, and commands us to leave that which the Prophet, SAW instructed us to, and to follow that which he instructed us to do. :)
Even though it seems, and Allah knows best, that the most correct view, as Nawawi said, is "not to touch the beard and let it grow". However, the majority of the Salaf (early muslim scholars) did not hold this view. They viewed that 'something' could be taken from the beard -- based on the actions of many of the Sahaabah of Rasoolullah, including Ibn `Umar, etc. "Shaving" is haraam - all Imaams agreed to this. * But trimming/shortening (and how much you shorten) .. is debatable.
@alihassan256 He has a valid reason Egypt doesnt allow beards even though it is a muslim country so its the law of the land which is messed up bro. May Allah change the minds of the people in power in Egypt to make a law to keep beards not shave beards!
Those are words formed from your own desires, and not based on actual evidence/proofs, and insha'Allah I will take the word of the Prophet SAW, Sahaba, Tabiieen, Tabi Tabe'een, righteous scholars afterwards from past and present over your word ya Hussien. I wasn't focusing on Sheikh Jibril's beard actually, I think you are confusing me for someone else, however I do know that the beard is Fard for men. :)
Rasulullah (SallAllâhu Alayhi Wasallam) said "I have no connection iwth one who shaves, shouts and tears his clothing eg. in grief or affication." - Reported by Abu Darda (R.A.) in Muslim, Hadith no. 50
You don't need to talk about the Shaikh. You need to study your deen. And learn what Islam really means. ISLAM -- that "an tuslim" to Allah (i.e. submit). eg. His commands, His Prophet's commands. May Allah give Shaykh Jibreel Paradise. Aameen.
this is not the place for debates, so this is my last post. Is it not his business? I fail to see where my "desires" appear in my post. You are a strange lot, to believe the "older" the opinion is the more relevant it is, try to think if we use the same logic in any scientific field. I was not addressing you about the beard, u chose to answer, cause u "know" beard is fard, and no one can change that. I knew it was a mistake to post where someone thinks that music leads to fornication. logic!!
Not really. The hadeeth is not always trusted to have originated from the prophet, lot of liars put words in his mouth - there are lots of Ulama who tried to ascertain what is Sa7ee7 and what is not. But to be intellectually scrupulous, we should never ever claim that someone is disobeying the commands of the Quran, when the Quran didn't even address the issue ;) Besides, Allah will ask each person for his/her acts, so let's leave Jibril's beard to Jibril Just let's enjoy the beautiful recital
I love his voice my local mosque was blessed to have him.
I've been listening to this since it was uploaded. JazakumAllah Khair
