I grew up on OG Beyblade (!) the original series no one outside my own country gives a flying duck about. but, just like you i started watching Burst this year (2024), or to be specific: Burst EVOLUTION. I fell in love with Evolution, simple as that
From a Metal Fight perspective, Lui might seem fraudulent as a number one, because he barely beats Shu and Valt and arguably does so in both cases due to luck. But it’s important to remember season one of burst is more of a traditional sports anime. And in sports, luck is more relevant when two players are that closely matched. Unlike in Metal Fight, where strict rankings can be made unless the show really wants you to know that two characters are equals, in Burst, most of the time, the number two can beat the number one.
Great video! I personally put Xander above Zac just because through the season Zac always felt like the least Supreme of the Supreme 4. And when you compare both their final matches with Valt I feel that a lot of the points Zac scored were from Valt mislaunching or just underperforming while Xander pushed Valt to having to power up immensely. That’s just my opinion tho. Anyway, can’t wait for your next Burst vid.
5:50 you’re not wrong, but the later seasons of Burst (specifically Season 3 onwards) really amps up the power levels. Obviously nowhere near the absurd levels of Metal Fight but it doesn’t have that realistic style that season 1 had
I definitely agree with you on having Zac above Xander. They’re both around the same level but I’d back Zac since Valt overpowered Xander and then just barely be able to scrape a win against Zac in the semifinals
I disagree. His fight with Xander was a lot closer. They had a couple of ties and Valt had to increase his power a ton. With Zac, Valt wasn’t performing as well and barely won because he kept mislaunching. Honestly would’ve won faster. They had to make as it close as it was. If Xander and Zac faced off, Xander’s brutal attack power would crush Zac’s stamina
a bit of a hot take, but i’d honestly put Lui below Valt and Shu because he was about to lose to both of them, but won due to factors outside of his control. Still very close though
@@monadoDecoyyou realize that valt burst just to his bey tripping over a tiny crack on the stadiumm 😭 Had there not been a crack on the stadium if valtryek and counter clockwise luinor actually connected luinor would have burst valtryek horribly 😭. @@Sign587 I don't think that the slow motion burst was guaranteed in Valt's battle against Lui, considering that even Lui knew he shouldn't have won there and wanted a rematch. Its also worth considering that Longinus' could have also been about to burst. As for Shu, both him and Lui were at full power in their battle, and if Spriggan didn't have a preexisting crack, he would have gotten a spin finish by a wide margin. Also if Lui could get stronger after seeing Valt's aerial boost, there is no reason to believe Shu couldn't do the same, especially considering he has a new launch form in evolution.
Fun fact: Lui shares his Japanese voice actress with Damian. I don't know if you watched Beyblade Burst in Japanese or English, but in my opinion, the English dub of Beyblade Burst is better than the dub of Metal Fight Beyblade. As an MFB fan, I will always love it more than the other generations, but Burst really succeeded in creating entertaining and passionate battles without relying on superpowered beys.
Well we know the top 5 are easy with controversy between the top 3. Lui, Shu, and Valt can go either way with Xhaka/Xander and Zac claiming the last 2 spots in the top 5
I think if not for Valtryek being hoisted by its own petard, the best outcome Valt could’ve hoped for in the battle that got him 2nd place in the Nat’l tournament was a simultaneous Burst finish (assuming that the slow-motion Burst concept would still be withheld until the next season).
Shu should be at top because when he lost to Lui, shu would’ve won without the crack but when valt lost, he lost to the crack. If he burst from a CRACK in the stadium, then he would’ve been burst if valkyrie hit longinus if there wasn’t a crack.
Ngl Zac was not trying against Akira. When he got serious Akira got destroyed very quickly If fact if I'm not mistaken Zac didn't even awaken his bey until the final round and when he did Akira got destroyed
The problem with Lui is he even admits himself that he didn’t want to beat Valt on a freak accident so Lui doesn’t even think he beat Valt and It’s implied that if Wakiya didn’t damage Spryzen earlier Shu would beat Lui as he would have won with a survivor finish.
For sure. If Shu repaired spryzen before his match with Lui he wins with a survivor finish and he plays Valt in the final who knows how that wouldve came out. Also note that Shu would’ve never became Red Eye. The reason he turned in the first place was because of his guilt over his broken promise with Valt, Lui breaking Spryzen, and losing to Free. Although now in the alternate timeline where the first 2 factors for Shu becoming Red Eye don’t exist, I wonder if he would’ve became Red Eye despite the fact he wouldn’t be vulnerable and stressed.
Top 3 for me would be Lui, Shu, then Valt as number one. Lui won against Shu and Valt because of accidents which he admitted. Shu and Valt is closer but I put Valt above Shu since he had more Power and stamina then Shu when he went against Lui
Valt is the #1 he has become great from nothing and no fundamentals to a second top blader in japan becauseof silly accident.
