The past year unfortunately made me realise how media-illiterate, childish and overall insufferable the Beyblade fandom can be, and these kids throwing around words like fraud is one of those reasons why. And the power scalers who only care about wins and strength rather than story and character development
This video mostly sums up how I feel about his losses, I still feel like he was done dirty to an extent, specifically in the second half of the World Championship. Also, for the record, "fraud" just feels like another trendy word anime fans, especially power-scalers, decided to abuse, spam, and popularise in an annoying way. With Chao Xin, that was just unfortunate, and it does lead to a real win later in the actual tournament; I don't really count this one because this "loss" wasn't even in the tournament. Same thing with the Excalibur loss, it was justified, non-fraudulent, but I'm focusing on tournament losses (long, incoherent ramble incoming): - The Nile loss, is always the one loss in the tournament which I considered justified and needed, and he did redeem that loss in the team battle (which I appreciate that being a Metal Saga battle that actually involved real smart-play and teamwork rather than raw power and spirit). - The Klaus loss only happened because of Tsubasa's dark power story, and because Julian had been built up for a while, and Gingka was gonna be the one to beat him. I wouldn't have even minded if Klaus vs Masamune ended in a tie, a loss just didn't feel right. I mean, one of them lost to the joint Cetus special move, the other broke though it, to the point where before the match Wales and Sophie warned Klaus of Masamune, which shows his strength and that he left his mark despite being largely outmatched by Excalibur. And even though I felt Masamune could have won, you have to rate him for earning Klaus's respect, respect that continued even before US vs EU. This battle overall shows his growth compared to the Nile fight: being less cocky, working harder, and getting his opponent to truly respect him and give him a thumbs up, right before collapsing, let that last one sink in - The Selen loss was pure BS and unlike the Klaus or Zeo ones where plot played a role, this one could've been avoided entirely. To the point where I'd slightly rewrite the round so Masamune would last to Ian at least and, regardless of whether he loses (have Tsubasa finish Ian with an aerial attack like Gingka originally did), wins (then have him be sneak-attacked by Argo instead of Gingka) or draws against Ian, Tsubasa could then finish up and his match with Argo would continue as normal. This would be interesting because Gingka wouldn't need to be in the fight and swoop in to save the day like usual since throughout most of the tournament, Gingka carried the team on his back, which makes sense since he's the leader, but still - Zeo was also plot, the moment Toby was on the line. It was said by Ryo in Episode 43 that Masamune's aerial attack would have decided the battle, but Zeo started the arrangement mid-battle. So if Zeo didn't mention Toby dying, and more importantly, didn't start the arrangement, Masamune would have won. If anything, Zeo was the fraud in that battle and, like Klaus, he needed to really push the limits to beat Masamune, showing what a worthy opponent Masamune was - Not much to say with King and Chris, these losses were justified, but he put up great fights. he was a stepping stone for not one, but two Legendary Bladers. I rewatched Masamune vs Chris, and to be fair to Masamune, he put up a great fight before Chris's awakening, and that's what it took to beat Masamune Also, great video, and here's a video idea: do one like this, but for our main character Gingka. He, along with his fellow teammate Tsubasa, had a solid character arc which is visible from the first episode of Masters to the last
I agree with most of what you said in the video. However, I wouldn't use the word 'fraud' or 'fraudulent,' especially regarding Masamune's battle with Nile. It was a fight that contributed to Masamune's character development and truly made him a team player. After the fight with Team Wild Fang, he seemed noticeably less arrogant. People seem to dislike him because of his personality-because he talks big and lacks inhibition. But in my opinion, those flaws make him a more fleshed-out character. I still believe the writers should have revealed Masamune's backstory earlier; the battle against Nile would have been the perfect moment. Additionally, he could have won against Selen, even after being tricked a little. This would have helped better introduce Ian by having him defeat Masamune.
The thing I found frustrating is that okay, Fair enough in metal masters he had to be a plot sacrifice but then they could’ve at least made up for it in metal fury by turning him into serious character and allowing him to stat pad up his wins against people, leading him to become the winter legendary blader instead of Chris. That would’ve gotten rid of the pain of metal Masters. But instead they decide to double down on his plot sacrifice in order to introduce characters with little to no backstory. Ridiculous

I scratch my head on how he wasn’t one considering he had a massive role in metal masters, however I can see why since he wasn’t as much of a prominent player in metal fury.
The only gripe I really had with season 3 was that it made more sense in my brain to have the solar system bladers be five new characters, and the 4 season bladers be characters we already knew.
I think Masamune gets a treatment that could be compared to "If you beat him you're a great blader, if you lose you're not important" Masamune looks like a checkpoint for his opponents, he's the step to take to be world class, this is particularly felt in Fury when he loses against King and Chris.
You could do a video that covers some theories/ what ifs. Could you do "What would ve happend to gingka if Phoenix didn t interfere in his way to battle bladers". Would still win against yu/reiji and ryuga, would he performed storm bringer? I mean gingka has to gain 50000 points in less that half of the time
I can forgive Masamune getting man handled by Twisted Tempo, getting cold feet against Zeo, and great wall giving out beneath Striker etc. but when you are getting smacked by Selen who is an Actual Fraud and losing your absolute cool to Nile you are NOT beating the allegations.
I use to hate masamune but after his battle with nile I started like him but man the fact they couldn't give masamune a good win is just man it feels like he was wasted
Ik u said u were watching Burst, but ever thought about watching and doing vids on the OG series? I also grew up with the Metal Saga but I’ve been getting into the OG series too.
Dude wth i was just 2 days ago wondering if someone is gonna do masamune fraud battle checks and u delivered exacly 1:1 what i wanted to watch 😂 keep good work up
Masamune was just mishandled by the writers also I feel like he suffers from how shorter the world championships are because of his limited amount of battles being majority losses
I’m a firm believer that Chris is a terrible character and that someone else should have been the Winter Legendary blader, but not Masamune : it should have been Dashan in my opinion. If we think about it, EVERY solar system LB is a brand new character, while every LB of the 4 seasons is an old beloved character, except Chris who sticks out like a sore thumb (I also just don’t like his character, the concept of his bey being the ultimate stamina type is lame, and his avatar is ugly ; only his aura and bey are cool looking). Everything was set up for Dashan to be an awesome Legendary blader : he was an old and beloved character on top of being very strong (one of the strongest non LB imo), he bad a whole thousands of years old rivalry with the Beylin fist (therefore Aguma) that ultimately amounted to nothing, AND he has a Winter constellation bey. It would also have been cool to see Dashan vs Masamune as we have never seen that match up before, and both characters are actually very hard working which would have actually made the viewers feel,as though any of them could deserve the spot of LB. Chris was introduced last minute just to be the lamest LB in my opinion (yes, he’s a much worse character than Yuki in my opinion).
I'd say they did him dirty with Chris. They really introduced a whole other character just to be like "you're not him" and take his potential spot as a legendary blader. I'm fine with Chris taking the spot and I'm fine with Masamune not being a legendary blader but it would've been such a more impactful moment if he still ended up beating Chris to show that your hard work and dedication can overcome some boost that was basically handed to Chris out of sheer luck.
Tbf i believe chris should’ve still won that matchup with raw skill but the power up was overkill however it follows the line of almost legendary bladers being op when they first show up. In terms of hard work I agree that hard work should come out on top which is why they should’ve developed Chris military arc more so we got to see his development, but Ovr I do agree that Masamune got screwed by the fast plot.
You would think the writers would make him have some improvement arc after all those losses towards stronger bladers. Honestly, he would be the reverse Kenta in the scenario. Imagine if he had learned and developed from all the strong characters and trained underneath them and/or improved his training by what he saw, etc. We are looking at basically Kenta vs Ryuga essentially
@WildfangEdits, since you made a video talking about what if Damien became a legendary blader. Will you do the same with masamune, tsubasa & other characters, i won't rush you into making a video. This is my idea that i want you to make the video & Your content is awesome.
I mean both sides are right. The writers did do him dirty he should have beat Klaus and the whole Garcia thing was just stupid. But Masamune didn't do himself no favors by going on and on about being the #1 bladder that is what ppl have a problem with.
the fact that they lost to julian in 3v3 battle is literally due to gingka not using his special move. he thought that he could win against julian without special move. not like he could use it either due to ceiling.
@@pt5728 well no.. he just needed to create same special move he did which meant going more into sky (going into space) like he did that time but he couldnt cuz of ceiling.
Naaah i need to say something u almost completely understand this, but first writters would make masamune cancel his special move if zeo would have won that clash very logic, next thing its funny how los to nile that everyone is calling fraud is actually great writting its obv that he pointed out number one thing more than usual in this arc and it was all for masamune development which had more potential but still it done good job...
2:17 something with Masamune I didn’t like was after all those losses to Ginga and he finally beat him but Ginga was not using his Full Power because of his Troubles controlling his New Blade but Masamune then believed he was Number 1 so they basically gave him a Bit of a Superority Complex and that Neither Madoka or Kenta pointed it out to him and letting him Talk down to Ginga for the rest of the first Half of the Season so Seeing Masamune get cut down a size in the Tournament was good.
Masamune was just an ordinary blader. It all just comes down to that. He didn't have any extraordinary power like Gingka, Kyoya, or Ryuga. He didn't have a deep hidden power like Kenta. He's just an ordinary athlete with spirit and natural talent, but lost to people who literally had super powers such as Gingka, Chris, or King or flat out just trained harder and more disciplined than him like Nile or Klaus
In the final countdown episode where Masamune and Zoe were battling in the stadium for the final round in the world championships. If Masamune won against Zeo, Dr.Ziggurat would make Toby’s Medical Treatment that’s in the hospital gets cut off, which means Toby will pass away. If Zeo won against Masamune, then Toby will be still alive but Ziggurat tricked Zeo in a different blader name Faust
Aint no way bro skipped the 2v2 with team white fang he won the battle (with help of gingka of course). And its an importand one for his character development....All other points on the video are faxxx
The problem is that he had too many normal losses for the writers to feel the need to give him 3 extra plot losses. They could've just made the Gracys stronger and made him tie against Selen. They also should've done the same thing that they did in Beyblade 2002. Have Masamune tie Zeo and have Ginga beat Damian in a winner take all.
Idk about the Gingka battle either I always saw it as Gingka couldn’t control his bey and it just kept exerting Power and Taking out Masamune but I felt he also wasn’t expecting Gingka to be a champion and have no control over his bet at all and when Gingka does get control and fights Masamune again Masamune won
The Gingka battles should really be that Masamune was outmatched. Galaxy Pegasus is way stronger than Storm Pegasus, which is what Masamune saw battle in the Battle Bladers tournament
This video is one that I completely agree with in it's entirety! This was a really well non biased video. Which I'm happy because Masamune is my favourite character in all of Beyblade. I can only agree to a certain extent because both characters do end up around the same power ranking spots in their respective universes, with Daichi possibly being a higher level, around top 10 possibly
@@nxrlznd nah daichi is at worst 10th while having some sweet wins despite only being in one season. masamune might crack top 15 of metal but its close id say 16. he was around 2 season and his only nice W was his rematch with Yu where Yu wasnt even taking him seriously. its clear by a few episodes into fury that Yu is still a far better blader
@@NiceBoyAdam daichi being at worst 10th is debatable due to Hiro and possibly Romero being better than him due to higher battle iq. 1,Masamune didn't cancel his special move Byxis did with Magnetic Needle Storm. 2.if you ask me i say Masamune's most valid loses were against Nile and Zeo he needed to be taken down a peg and Nile was the perfect contrast to Masamune's character so him being the one to do it was valid and Zeo because since they were friends Masamune hesitated to use full power and Zeo has more on the line then Masamune because if he lose Toby would have died like he said so him beating Masamune is valid since he had more to lose.
i dont think masamune didnt cancel his special move, and i say that bcs Zeo was channeling his special move, and was not actually releasing it ( only after masamune got surprised), just like in the fight masamune and ginga vs kyoya and nile, nile channeled his special move but didnt have time to release it, so in my opinion i think masamune backed off
It's hard to say. I mean some of these losses were just because you can't have team GGG just sweep their way through. He had some impressive moments like vs Chris but a lot of bad Ls also

The only gripe I really had with season 3 was that it made more sense in my brain to have the solar system bladers be five new characters, and the 4 season bladers be characters we already knew.
Him vs Chris was diabolical 💀
I think Masamune gets a treatment that could be compared to "If you beat him you're a great blader, if you lose you're not important"
Masamune looks like a checkpoint for his opponents, he's the step to take to be world class, this is particularly felt in Fury when he loses against King and Chris.
Msamune is a GOAT
Thought Masemune was alright, definitely didn’t love him like other people did. His whole number 1 thing became annoying quickly 😂
Yeah it was like galaxy pegasus autopilot mode for it to beat masamune rey striker in beyblade metal masters ep 2 couple of times in a row
A video I recommend you do is 'Strongest Non - Legendary Bladers'
i think strongest non legendary blader is helios
@@attevoutilainen1339yeah he is the strongest non legendary blader
Even if lost in every battle in the show, I still love him. I never liked characters like him, but he’s different, it’s the same thing with Ginga.
Ik u said u were watching Burst, but ever thought about watching and doing vids on the OG series? I also grew up with the Metal Saga but I’ve been getting into the OG series too.
Im definitely gonna check it out soon fs
Can you do a video of legendary Blader battles that didn’t happen, and who you think would have won them?
Probably the funniest character in the show. Its either him or tetsuya
Dude wth i was just 2 days ago wondering if someone is gonna do masamune fraud battle checks and u delivered exacly 1:1 what i wanted to watch 😂 keep good work up
Thanks 🙏
Masamune actually inspired and gave me ideas for a Character from this Titanic and War World 2 story I am writing about.
Loved Masamune wish he was given more
Masamune was just mishandled by the writers also I feel like he suffers from how shorter the world championships are because of his limited amount of battles being majority losses
Zeo: I Used to be friends with Masamune he's a fraud
Masamune vs Cause was really just the boats and logs vs David Goggins
In terms of hard work I agree that hard work should come out on top which is why they should’ve developed Chris military arc more so we got to see his development, but Ovr I do agree that Masamune got screwed by the fast plot.
nobody can ever make me hate you masamune
Same
Great video my guy! I have another idea for a video : Was Gingka a the best mc in the metal series or did he have too much plot armor? Keep it up!
Masamune has the best OST
Maybe make a video now about what the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Battle Bladers should REALLY look like.
I mean both sides are right. The writers did do him dirty he should have beat Klaus and the whole Garcia thing was just stupid. But Masamune didn't do himself no favors by going on and on about being the #1 bladder that is what ppl have a problem with.
Masamune only went on and on about it for the first 20 episodes. He stopped after losing to Nile.
@@animegamefan8678he spent half of fury saying he was better than king😭
@@toonyoshi5734 oh wait yeah you're right. I forgot about Fury 💀. It's the season I watched the least
@@animegamefan8678 dont blame you it’s the worst one
@@toonyoshi5734 and he was actually winning against him
the fact that they lost to julian in 3v3 battle is literally due to gingka not using his special move. he thought that he could win against julian without special move. not like he could use it either due to ceiling.
I disagree, at this point I think the result would mostly be the same.
@@pt5728 well no.. he just needed to create same special move he did which meant going more into sky (going into space) like he did that time but he couldnt cuz of ceiling.
Request: Do one about Tsubasa where he lost control and became Dark Tsubasa all thanks to the Dark Power that’s inside him
Naaah i need to say something u almost completely understand this, but first writters would make masamune cancel his special move if zeo would have won that clash very logic, next thing its funny how los to nile that everyone is calling fraud is actually great writting its obv that he pointed out number one thing more than usual in this arc and it was all for masamune development which had more potential but still it done good job...
He's way better as a character than Kazami Bird ( protagonist of Beyblade X)
Masamune was one of those bladers who kept losing battles only to win the war in the end.
Can you make a video about what if Ryuga actually battled Damian? If Damian found Ryuga.
Remember when Gangan Galaxy won a match 2-0?
thats only because the Russian members are too weak unlike in the OG series
Yes he is and Nile from Metal Fury still beats him albeit going high diff to do so.
I don’t think Masumune was a Fraud he was just a Character they Buildup to be Strong to much to fall a lot during the series.
Most fraud characters in beyblade metal.
- Masamune | Yamcha
- Aguma | Kuwabara
- Yuki | Nobita
No way dude.
gingka was the main charector so he had to battle so either tsubasa or masamune had to loose
when will the burst video be out
In mi opinión the duel against Clauss would had to be a tie. Maybe the writters didn't want the same tie result, as gingka vs kyoya.
This video is one that I completely agree with in it's entirety! This was a really well non biased video. Which I'm happy because Masamune is my favourite character in all of Beyblade. I'd actually love too type so much more here and go over your points in the video and give some of my own. However my comment would be waaaay to long. I love seeing other Beyblade channels just out in the wild like this. Do you have a discord because i'd honestly love to just discuss Beyblade with you!
Yeah that selan lost they did do him very dirty😂
I think he’s pretty butt cheeks 😂😂 that being said, Masamune vs Klaus is one of my favourite battles ever! So simple but so hype!
masamune was literally daichi at home. daichi thought he was that dawg and was. masamune thought he was that dawg but hes not
I can only agree to a certain extent because both characters do end up around the same power ranking spots in their respective universes, with Daichi possibly being a higher level, around top 10 possibly
I’ll agree that daichi besting Rick and out classing Tala are great battles and although I was going to argue if I am being honest I don’t see masamune beating much of the top 10-15 in his verse like Nile, DaXiang, Damian.
That’s the point I feel like is it not???😂😂😂
And don't forget he missed out on the Russian Tournament.
And I wish Ginka blammed Masumune when Tusbasa and Yu got put into coma.
short answer: yes
long answer: yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
“What if Damian and Ryuga battled”
claiming to be the best and only having one win is just prof the writes wanted him to be a fraud
biggest fraud in anime history
1,Masamune didn't cancel his special move Byxis did with Magnetic Needle Storm. 2.if you ask me i say Masamune's most valid loses were against Nile and Zeo he needed to be taken down a peg and Nile was the perfect contrast to Masamune's character so him being the one to do it was valid and Zeo because since they were friends Masamune hesitated to use full power and Zeo has more on the line then Masamune because if he lose Toby would have died like he said so him beating Masamune is valid since he had more to lose.
i dont think masamune didnt cancel his special move, and i say that bcs Zeo was channeling his special move, and was not actually releasing it ( only after masamune got surprised), just like in the fight masamune and ginga vs kyoya and nile, nile channeled his special move but didnt have time to release it, so in my opinion i think masamune backed off
Still a fraud he had 1-2 meaningful wins in masters while always yapping about being number 1 lost every other
That word doesn't even mean anything anymore, just another meaningless word anime fans spam everywhere
Masamune only lost seven times to Gingka. Way less than what was stated in the video.
Oh yeah I guess I exaggerated a lot 😂
Yeah plot was against him
Please go away
The bigger question is: how much of a fraud was masamune?
What about aguma he also fraud like masamune they made him dirty as well and lose against child just like kuwabara from yyh
Damn. MFB make no sense all of the character and plot holes🤔
I Think Hes Just Fraud But Done Dirty too by writers
An fraud blader but Apart from that, it's an underrated character
Imma say it… yes
Just to let you sonic3 the movie is out
Palck leopard Plack leopard Black leopard has soft fur and pet dat shopht dawg phur pheel da phur 😊
I'm a fraud😈👿👅
It's hard to say. I mean some of these losses were just because you can't have team GGG just sweep their way through. He had some impressive moments like vs Chris but a lot of bad Ls also
Request: Can you do a shout out for me (Nickolas) because I finished Graduated from Capilano University in North Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 and I was wondering if you can do that please & thank you? 🙏
By the way my name is Nickolas
Masamune is the literary example of Big mouth who can't back up his words
Also iv seen no one talk about this but Masamune didn’t cancel his special move zeos move magnetic needle storm canceled his out
Mas is the most annoying character
What makes you say that? What did Masamune do that’s wrong?
@@NickolasStengert "I am number 1" the whole season and he won a singular battle in the world championship. Lil bro lost to Selene of all people and claims to be number 1. He's not.
@@TheMax107 That’s true, I have to agree with you. Masamune bragged saying that he’s number 1 over and over again. He’s like “I’m back did you hear me? I can’t believe they crowned the Battle bladers champion without me, what a joke! Just you wait Gingka, I’ll show you who the real number 1 blader is, do you hear me you Imposter! Me, Masamune Cadoya that’s who. Like how rude of him to say that
@@TheMax107 If Masamune is saying number 1, number 1, number 1, number 1 over and over again, then that’s soooo annoying and that’s bragging to other bladers around him especially Gingka. Something tells me that Masamune is hiding something from the law, but not 100% sure what he’s up to. But calling Gingka rude names and insult hurts a lot.
I think the next request should be how many times Masamune says Number 1 and calculate it
Masamune vs klaus is like ray vs crusher: favorite gets done dirty.
Masamune is like Daichi.
tbf Daichi, Masamune and Aiga are almost similar characters
