As a new law school student I learn I should pay more attention to my academic grade again from this video. I will try to achieve my goal. Thank you and wait your more law school videos!
Thanks for the video! Its nice to have a Law video in ENGLISH instead of Hindi.... and yeah, League Tables are ok but it's also about the work you put in yourself.
I’m 15 and my GCSE’s are next year. I really want to be a writer but I need money first. I’ve watched HTGAWM and I love criminal law. So I’m going to get money from being a lawyer first then write my book.
oooh I also watch HTGAWM too and it has really made me want to become a lawyer! I did have the idea in my mind before, but that has intensified it.It's pretty surprising bc pretty much all my life I wanted to pursue science but now I'm reconsidering lol
I am currently deciding between a Law Degree or an International Business degree. I received offers for both ,but now I am really struggling to decide what to do.
Very indepth information Tokini I am about to take admission in LLB HONS with foundation year from Uni of Westminster it has helped me a lot after listening to your video more videos regarding syllabus please :)
boo...u are correct. i am a law student in the bahamas.u shut urself down and hit the books. u can read it bk and front but ya gatta start as u said early
Hi I’m on my last year of a level and i am currently considering taking law as my future degree. I’m good with reading and writing however how do I actually find out whether I’m interested in LAW ?
It is a good presentation, i was a journalist but at the moment i left, when i get a time i read books of law and attending law lectures. I am in Tanzania but before to take a law profession i was in England Tot ten ham, win Chelsea street, the street is opposite to Tot ten ham Police Station. I stayed house number 75 of Mr. Angelo. Its real you beat Nigeria, you speak like Britain. Mr. Angelo is the owner of the house, he also came from Nigeria, has a daughter of your age, good.
I’m gonna do LLB in University of Leeds. Omg, i’m so scared now😭😭 Please tell me if there are are semesters and how the examination are done? And what is the pass mark
Depends where you live, such search for universities and look at their requirements. Most the time you can study whatever in college and still do something totally different. It just depends on the requirements example for Cambridge you need AAA at A levels to get into law
With a degree from the England, how limited are you in where you can practice?(this might be a dumb question, I’m only starting to learn about law studies!)
Mercy I’m pretty sure you can practice law in Australia with a UK law degree however for the US an LLB law degree from the UK is not considered a qualifying law degree except for some states such as New York and California and a couple more.
Hi Tokini! Thank you for the video. I understand that studying Law involves a lot of independent study, but how many contact hours per week do you have at your university? Does it fluctuate a lot from the first year and the last one? Thank you :)
Hi Caroline, I have about 20 hours of contact per week, and yes it does fluctuate. I had more hours in my first year but as I've progressed the hours have reduced.
They tell me that I can transfer from my 2 year law diploma from Sheridan College in Brampton, Ontario and transfer over to University of Leicester and get an English LLB. Once this is done, one is able to go back to a Canadian Law School and do 1 qualifying year as opposed to 3 full years. Hmmm.
I'm in UK, secondary school but am originally from Nigeria. Which subjects do you think are most important for law. I enjoy Maths, English and History.
I am doing maths, history and spanish a level and will apply to do law. I think the subjects you said that you enjoy are really good to apply for law! History is very important
MrHappy depends on what the university offers but I don’t think having a degree in history will be acceptable to move on to a postgraduate in law, maybe you could do something like history with law at postgraduate if I was you I would email universities you are interested in and see what they offer
well you'll definitely have to memorise certain concepts in order to understand the law, to spot issues and to argue for or against each side, but you won't have to memorise the actual book by heart. As long as you understand what you're reading (and there's a ton of reading) and you know how to write well, you'll be fine. If you find out after a while that law isn't for you you can definitely pursue something else, although that might not be the best idea depending on your financial situation. Whatever works best for you.
all UK unis have the same tuition which the government have capped. £9,500 a year, unless you're an international student which it is around £18,000 per year.
Hey this was so helpful, I applied for law at university of Wolverhampton, they said they don’t require GCSEs for the course but I got some of my GCSEs apart from maths. If I get accepted will this be a hinderance ?
You know she's serious when her Nigerian accent over powers her British accent lol ...MORE LAW VIDEOS PLEASE

What uni do you go to, I read online that the workload varies with what uni you go to and would like to know cause I wanna study law.
john calanog I attend university of Leicester and yeh the work load varies. The better the uni the more the work load is likely to be.
Do you just go to university for law straight off? Or can you get a degree in history for example, and then get a post-graduate degree in law?

Chichi Nwanya doubt it although maths is in everything it isn’t a large part of law and you won’t come across a lot if any maths during your degree.
