- Łukasz Fabiański remains hopeful that West Ham United can turn around their UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie with Bayer Leverkusen when the sides meet again at London Stadium next week, despite admitting being extremely frustrated with the manner in which his team fell to 2-0 defeat in the first leg.

Moyesball "held out" for 82 minutes and then conceded 2 goals in the last 8 minutes. Another brilliant example of Game Management. Out of Europe. Finish 9th behind Chelsea and Newcastle and Moyes will be telling we are lucky to have him and what a great season it was. Get him out!

What Xabi has squeezed out of the top 6 team, making them almost 2003/4 Arsenal is amazing and equally if not more impressive to what Mourinho did with Porto and Inter in the Champions League. I can't wait for next season to end, so Xabi can replace Ancelotti. I really hope with all my heart as a Madridista and BVB fan that Xabi wins the triplet, league is already won, the German cup final vs Kaiserslautern too, and if they don't get Liverpool (coming back from 0-3 is difficult but certainly more than possible) in the EL finals I'd say they got the win in the bag, Milan or Roma in semis can't stop them.

If we would have had the likes of Bergwein today instead of having to resort to 5-3-2 we give a much better account, let alone missing Bowen, Alvarez, and Areola. We fell short. The injury to Bowen fucked us. We missed a trick (again) by not rolling the dice in Jan.
@@damiandamico4715 If you would have played football, it could have been an equal match... Leverkusen is unbeaten for 42 games for a reason. Playing Guerrilla tactics and defending to hope for just that one chance doesnt work every time^^
But being more aggressive will lead to counters for the opponent team.
Next week WestHam HAS to open up their barricades if they want to have a chance... they need to win by 3... which is already impossible if they dont improve by like 3000%

Watching a lot of Leverkusen games this was another day in the office for them. West Ham defended really good so the game could go either way. Not an expert but it seems LK could bring in fresh power and West Ham could not match that maybe? WH did great but also LK win was well deserved i would say.
