It is rare to hear, or rather to feel, a review in a visual medium like this, carried out in a distinctly kinesthetic approach. The way you go about it really lends itself well to describing crafts and kitchen tools. Random and unfocused audio/visual frames become subordinate and strangely unimportant. The progress is focused, methodical, precise and relevant, driven by experience and pure passion. Very good.
Thank you - this is EXTREMELY helpful! I was worried that the 32 cm will be too big for my cooktop but also worried that the 28 cm would be to small. Knowing the actual diameter of the cooking surface makes be believe that the 28 cm is in fact big enough for our use.
I have 13 pieces of Demeyere Atlantis, and they are truly amazing, especially on my induction hob. Their sauceuse is utterly amazing. They are heavy and expensive. But once you start to use them and become familiar with their abilities, they will absolutely be your go to cookware. I still have some specialty cookware from Staub but I keep reaching to my Atlantis way more frequently.
I just ordered my Demeyere pans and then RUclips recommended your new video. lol. In total I bought 3 pans and 1 pot (industry, multiline and proline). I really can't wait to receive them. Thanks for the videos. They're quite helpful since the pans aren't cheap so I needed to make a thorough research. lol.
I'm sure you'll enjoy them. I don't really understand what the Multiline really is.... I tend to just stick with the most known product lines, Industry, Atlantis etc....
@@mq46312 I checked the specification of Multiline and found that it's 7-ply but lighter than Proline. That's why I chose Multiline for 28cm instead of Proline.
@@mq46312 yes, it is. I received my pans today. Turned out Proline 24cm skillet is quite heavy. Multiline 28cm feels lighter in my hand. It looks the same but it's certainly not as thick as Proline's.
Hi Mamaino, how have you liked your 24 cm Proline? I have just ordered one. I have a 32cm Multiline too, I chose it over the biggest Proline because of the lighter weight. I use it mainly for vegetables. I got a suitable Zwilling glass lid for it. - Thank you MQ for the informative videos. I’m a cookware enhusiastic myself and cook daily for family of 4.
this is my favorite stainless steel brand...while i own all clad, and it is very nice...this 7 ply is by far superior! Great pans! I do own a french line and while i love it for the shape, this demeyere is again the best!! do hot hesitate buying!
My american ass going back and forth using google to convert metric to inches and lbs 😂 This is exactly what i was looking for though. Thank you so much!
Although I own several Demeyere pans (ControlInduc, Proline, Industry, Apollo, Alu Pro), my Lidl stainless steel disc bottom frying pan is still my go-to pan.
Very good video! Concerning thickness (5.50 min) there is a very good and famous skillet producer in Germany, Saarbrücken, Woll GmbH, they made stainless steel skillet, 5 layer 5mm thick! In 24 cm and 28 cm. These skillets are also amazing. I don't know which is better but for sure not bad!
i just got the Demeyere Atlantis 7 Sautepan with lid and the 30cm apolo7 wok with lid.. Watched your channel and Cook Culture vid...just need to find out how to cook with them. Also bought one de buyer 24 skillet and a 30cm de buyer crepe pan...the last two will get in monday.. two total different pans and different cooking styles... i'm replacing all my non-stick.. i hope we will learn how to cook with them
Can you comment on how flat the bottom is? Just bought the 28cm and noticed there is an inward bowing which does not flatten when heated as one might expect. Not sure if this is normal or interferes with the cooking performance in your experience. My cast irons are all flat.
It should sit perfectly flat on your cooktop without wobbling. The bottom is designed to have a slight inward curvature. You shouldn't however get the oil flowing out to the sides when the pan is heated. It could be that the size of your hob is too small for the size of the pan.
I bought a 3 layer All Clad Stainless steel pan for Christmas, but I wish I would have bought a Demeyere pan instead. The Demeyere are 5 layer, correct?
You have small hands which is why the grip doesn't for you. It would have been better to not have half the 11 inch cut off the entire video. I have been using Made In stainless which is at least as good as All Clad at half the price probably because they are direct to consumer only.

@@jensastrup1940 Yes the 28cm is big enough for most people. It's as big as a 30cm pan from a lot of other manufacturers.
@@mq46312 I have ordered the 28 cm version. On sale at €160

I bought the 32cm last week.. amazing

Cookware is very subjective. The "best" cookware is whatever you feel most comfortable with and gets you the best results.

How did you do :) ?
Would the 11 inch frypan be large enough to cook two large striploin steaks?
Yes it is definitely big enough. It is very large for a "28cm" pan.
Great, thanks!

How tall are the sides? I would like to use one for crepes. I need one with low sides. Thank you
I am not home to measure it this week, but they are average height for a fry pan. Should work well for Crepes.

Proline is 7 layers, Industry is 5 layers.
demeyere has 5 ply but would recommend their 7 ply line!
when you say electric you don't mean induction ?
Sorry by electric I mean electric, ceramic, glass, or just any "flat top".
To expensive..handles to thin and pan is very heavy
It's true that these pans are not for everybody. Some people indeed find them too heavy and/or expensive.

I find a review by talking hands disconcerting
