I honestly feel like they lied....that game felt too rushed, for it to be worked on for 10 years...Unless they worked on it every 3 months for 10 years or something

Sad thing is that the game concept is actually a really good unique idea. They just executed it so poorly with the writing, gameplay, it being a looter shooter, etc. If they kept the same Arkham Batman gameplay element with a better story and better content the game would of been amazing.
For example, brainiac alien things are boring as shit to go against, especially while using the same guns. I think they could have improved by rewriting the story so that the first half transitions from the beginning of brainiacs invasion, and the Justice League slowly one by one getting controlled by Brainiac as the story goes on, then midgame the whole justice league is mind controlled and you have to kill them. Enemies COULD have just been different villains throughout the city with their own factions (similar to Arkham City), then midgame just have mind-controlled citizens mixed with Braniacs alien things. Then Endgame could of expanded on the story, bringing in different DC heroes (or villains) to play as in different "seasons".
I honestly don't get why they made the game so shit when it could of been way better thought out and done
@@ITriggerFolks They tried to make a Superman game but that got cancelled, then a non DC game that also got cancelled. WB forced them to make Suicide Squad. Then Sefton Hill, the former Rocksteady boss forced the team to make it a multiplayer GAAS. He was also responsible for the poor writing. The team wanted to do a single player suicide squad with melee Arkham style combat. When Sefton Hill realised the game was going to get a lot of backlash he left Rocksteady so it wouldn't reflect poorly on him.
Batman Beyond would feel new while going back to their roots. It’s perfect and easy. Kevin conroy being gone is their only issue with this.

@@LoganBradbury-yt1ljIn case if you don’t know the story. It wasn’t Rocksteady was unsure about the game. It was Sefton Hill who fully responsible behind the scenes. He was actually the one who make the game live service, making a looter shooter, and everything else he done. Even Rocksteady found it bad knowing some characters like Captain Boomerang using guns. So it was actually him who was responsible for the mess.

They decided to kill off Crazy Quilt, Condiment King, Victor Zsasz, Mad Hatter (etc) - they’re all very loved Batman villains.

I sense a very drained, exhausted energy surrounding the people at Rocksteady. I unfortunately don’t think they have the motivation to keep going, especially with the Arkhamverse. Of course I want another Arkham game, and ultimately that’s probably what they have to make for the sake of their reputation, but realistically, I don’t think we’re ever going to get back that quality of games we had in the early 2010s
They have no choice unless they wanna lose their jobs, the company and end up not being able to pay bills.
If we have to get yet another Batman game I would really like a Batman beyond game that is Terry focusing on the Bat mantle
I really want a Superman game in the style of Arkham, but visually stunning and vibrant with an in depth morality system combined with the Nemesis system. Imagine the Legion of Doom putting a bounty on The Man of Steel's head. To be honest it could be split between earth and the cosmos, it doesn't even have to take place on earth, there's thousands of stories to pull and remix from

EDIT: An in depth morality system is self explanatory, but let me elaborate a little bit. In terms of gameplay, villains could react differently to you if you take less of a boy scout approach with them. You could tie it into who they're aligned with and this could also apply to friends and allies not just foes. The Daily Planet and media outlets could report on YOUR Superman and that could block certain paths for you and open up new potential possibilities and the public's perception of YOUR Superman could also impact your mood and appearance slightly. If it's in depth then there's a tons of paths you could go down, it doesn't just have to be black n' white morality system. The Nemesis system could tie into the morality system because we could see the physical scars we've inflicted on some villains throughout the game and the characters would mention it to us even if they aren't all physical scars, so let's say Lobo or a metahuman criminal mentions a previous encounter where you sonic boomed them into the atmosphere and threatened to throw them into the sun that could impact how other villains and allies see you, it would also allow for some amazing dialogue interactions which would improve the overall narrative. I think people would be playing this for years to come if you could play Superman your way. These are just a few things I'm throwing out there. To be honest I think any idea can work, but it all boils down to the execution.
It's impossible to do. I mean I have an idea how to do it but you gotta nerf Superman hard in order for it to work.

EDIT: Depends on the Superman iteration you go with. Also, Spiderman is nerfed in his games and looks like Wolverine will be nerfed in his game, Blade might be as well. I don't think people care if they're nerfed a bit
@@TheN1ghtwalkerno he doesn’t have to be nerfed, he doesn’t need to be nerfed at all. Like if they can handle True Form Darkseid in a video game, they can handle Superman. Like look at the Lego games, he has all the powers within those games that work within the confines of gameplay mechanics. Even in the EA Superman returns game look at the flying, he’s going pretty fast to be considered believable. Let’s be honest he’s got a decent rogues gallery, Bizarro, Metallo, Myxzptlk, Dominus, Brainiac (especially after the model they did on SSKTJL) that guys primarily a Superman and Supergirl villain, Gog, Zod Doomsday (a very big one). After Arkham Knight to Spiderman 1 & 2 and swinging through NYC who wouldn’t love to soar breaking the sound barrier through the city, like look what modders can do with Superman in GTA 5??

Hell you could even have a dlc mission where you bring back Arkham Batman after his Knightmare protocol realising the scarecrow demon bat was causing more harm then good and scaring the innocents of Gotham where he has a encounter with Superman by the end of the mission they become friends.. you could even call it worlds finest… from there you could still have you bat cake and eat it too with that Batman beyond game ect..

There’s been some leaks, I’m not sure where but currently Rocksteady are pitching a Batman and Superman team up game set between Knight and Suicide Squad or a Justice League game set after Suicide Squad where the League need to rebuild public trust and are fugitives. Rocksteady want these to be single player action games but WB is pushing for them to be live service, let’s hope Rocksteady win the fight

#1 make a game about someone being batman's successor by saying suicide squad was in a different timeline
#2 show us the rest of the justice league getting games, just be before the events of suicide squad forever.
I mean a Batman Beyond game could work they could set it 15-20 years after Suicide Squad but they could also make a sequel to Arkham origins or a game during Batman’s early years which to me is the most likely gonna be the case. Which all they have to do is hire Roger Craig Smith for the voice

As Someone Who Enjoy Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League Even I Agree With Some Cons From The Game Get All The Feed Back To Make The Next Game Amazing
I wish we could have gotten a Superman game instead. But it does make me sad we will probably not get to see the return of the Arkhamverse Batman and the rest of the Justice League.
As much as I would have wanted a Superman game, im very glad that we didn't because God knows the kind of bs Sefton would have pulled considering his failure with this game. Current Rocksteady should honestly put Kevin's Batman to rest and start a new universe entirely. Start from scratch

Even though I more than understand why another Arkham Batman game would happen. I’m not very excited for it. I have no issue with more triple-A Batman games. But I’d much rather have another continuity with a NEW play-style for Batman, instead of the old free-flow combat. We had it for four games straight. I’d like something new for Batman and other superhero games
That's actually a very smart way of looking at it, overtime I have grown a bit bored with open world superhero games and would like to see some more innovative ideas. Thats why I really appreciate games like Marvel's Midnight Suns, Guardians Of The Galaxy and Telltale Batman. We haven't been wowed in a minute honestly

Doing batman is what they should do. Before trying new things they need to rebuild the trust that they lost with suicide squad fast. And batman has an already developed combat system and everything. Just make a decent fun game with a good story and the fans will be happy. Or make a games about nightwing and red hood after arkham knight
I hope that Rocksteady would make an Aquaman game. Even though his movie made a billion he is still a very overlooked character. I would rather not have a new Batman game because we already have three perfect ones. DC are obsessed with Batman and should let some of their other characters shine. If we did get a Batman Beyond game that would make me more excited but I’d rather they make a Aquaman, Superman, Flash or Green Lantern game.

That's just a shitty thing to think about. Why would they kill off their Batman that makes them money because Kevin's gone? That would be a a huge L on Rocksteady. Highly unlikely that it is the case.

I'm more curious to see what happens (especially if they make another Batman game) because most of the bs that happened was primarily because of Sefton and Jaime.
Both have my respect for what they did with the Arkham games, but those 2 are the ones who ruined their own universe. I don't blame the devs/staff because they were doing what they were told and most of them wanted to initially make a single player game.
Sefton was just incompetent and had no idea on live service games. Now he's gone and with current Rocksteady wanting to go back to their "roots"; I do want to see where they go and they knew the live service was bad from the start.
@@DakarsWRLD that’s a fair point. I’m not trying to hate on the Devs. I love the Arkham games, I’ve played them since I was a kid, and it became the whole point of my channel. I want the games to be good, but this let me down in a big way. I just don’t know if they can bounce back from something like this for me personally, regardless of whose fault it is. The head directors for "Arkham Asylum-Arkham Knight" left, Rocksteady....the original head directors didn't work on Suicide squad...The only way we can get those Arkham games back...is if we get the head directors to come back...these newbies too weird
Sefton and Jaime worked on Suicide Squad and basically tanked their own franchise. It's not the staffs fault for doing their job despite them disagreeing on the direction of Suicide Squad. They left Rocksteady because they knew what they created would tank and left the backlash for the rest of the team to handle lmao dick more on their part

Completely your right not to care, but most of the bad stuff that happened was because of Sefton and Jaime. The article emphasizes that the staff questioned and disagreed with many of the elements in this game. Sefton and Jaime lost my respect, but not the staff.
