I did not even know you had 40 pounds to lose. Many years back, I lost a lot of weight doing HIIT and circuit training and dropped about 27lbs or so. Felt sturdy.
any advice on what i should do to lose weight doing those exercises
@@Brandonmv training is essential but the pounds are lost in the kitchen.
@@Joneztime For sure. Eliminating crap like soda will take the pounds off easy. I was in my early 20s then too so that was probably helpful.
@@Brandonmv What I did was Fitness Blender's HIIT workouts. They are typically 20 minutes of intense cardio and did some full body circuit training with dumbbells. You can find workouts on RUclips.
I think I did that 3 times a week. I stopped drinking soda as well and that helped eliminate sugar and empty calories.
Intermittent fasting!!!! Also cut sugars and add more water… consistency I’m the gym. Do heavy weights that’s comfortable for you and do 30 mins cardio every day you train. Thanks me later. I’m 70lbs down
I can attest to the weight loss making u feel better. I hoop with my sons and in the last 7 weeks have made it my goal to get better. I was 235lbs at 6'1". I have lost 25lbs. At 44 yrs old, I threw down my first dunk in 24 yrs. Dont give up fellas. Motivation and discipline. My sons are 16 and 14, 6'6" and 6' respectively. I am not schooling them but i am holding my own and have some moments. Knowing that i can get better at this age has motivated me so much. Stay strong kings and get in the lab.

@@nikohunt5187 i can break it down. Its not a lot but its specific. Calorie deficit. Get a food scale. I workout 4 times, a week play ball hard once a week. Meal prep is key but make it something u like. For me its jerk chicken and white rice. My meals are 3-4 times a day depending on my activity and 5 times a week. The two days im not eating meal prep, i eat what i want. Just dont fill urself up. When i workout i drink a protein shake, at least 40g of protein. I make almond butter protein balls for in between snacks. It sounds like alot but once u get into a routine, u start enjoying it. Stay away from too much sugar and drink at least 2 litres of water a day. Ideally 1 gallon but not less than 2 litres. Gotta keep muscles hydrated. Hope this helps.
I work as a personal trainer and spent the last years trying to prep for a bodybuilding show, I never had the genetics to win any national show so I shifted my training strictly toward athletic performance. My body felt awful at 220 but at 190 I’m able to windmill now, unlimited energy and mobility. Finding what weight your body is most comfortable with is very important, congrats on the transformation it’s never too late 💪

@@DaPredz Keep working dog, there’s a trainer at my gym in his late 40s maxing out the box jumps at my gym. If you wanna get serious about it, Isiah Riveria has a great program. Hes a pro dunker who has raised his vertical a good 18 inches the last 4 years

Know exactly how you feel. Hit 200 lbs 2 or 3 years ago, when most of my life I was a buck 35. Currently sit at 155-160. Work out almost every day, hooping on my days off. Love your content, hoping for the best for you, stay grinding fam. 💪🏾💯

everyone bodies is different. some ppl can lose crazy weight in a short period of time and not phase them. especially if that excess weight is foreign to your body
