Wastewater Screening Channel Flow Assessment | FLOW-3D HYDRO

This FLOW-3D HYDRO model simulates the flow through an inlet works screening channel. As shown on the plots, the flow is measured at the two outlet channels and through each of the four screening channels. The flow through the left-middle channel exceeds the other channels due to the concentration of flow around the upstream bend. If this is an undesirable condition due to potentially overloading that screen, FLOW-3D HYDRO can be used to evaluate alternative designs to achieve a more equal flow split.
