JODI - your Throwback has sent me over the edge. Love it! And Traci, I couldn’t agree more about the tubular cast-on/bind-off. Love you both. It’s my six month anniversary watching you. I knit 20 years ago, but the scene you guys have helped create has changed everything. So much fun. Lucky to be a knitter! Lucky to share time with folks like you.
I have been checking RUclips for you gals. Been in need of a Tracie and Jodi fix and lo and behold here you are! I am so glad that you both had such a great time at Knit City and were actually able to relax, and what beautiful hauls! I love your patterns (as a shawl fanatic I am all about yours Jodi!). Congratulations on your patterns. You ladies are so talented.
so glad you are back! loved to hear your travels! I felt like i was there! thank you for being you. Your sweaters, hats, shawls, yarn are gorgeous! love you mentioning my very fav anne of green gables!
Beautiful job on your sweaters ladies. Jodi, your colour work is delish. Tracie....... I think this is the most flattering and gorgeous sweater on you!!
Welcome Back! I missed you both and so glad you took time off and just enjoyed yourself at Knit City. You totally make me feel better about myself for having a bunch of WIPs and a hoard of yarn. So glad I'm not the only one who is obsessed with yarn.
I've gone to Denver & Ft Collins once a year, for each of the last three years. Each trip MUST include stops at The Loopy Ewe and My Sister Knits. I LOVE both places - and yes, MSK is cute in the extreme! Fantastic place!
Loved this podcast and hearing about Knit City; always come away from our podcast with a smile and a ton of notes and dyers and websites to look up :O). Thanks for another fun episode - you got me through making dinner, clean up after and coffee the next morning
If I could give this podcast more than one thumbs up, I so would! I just stayed glued to it ... for three days. Lol. That's me watching every chance I could. It would be a dream if I could come to that retreat next May. You two are awesome! I'm currently knitting the scania shawl.
OMG... you ladies have changed my life, seriously. You introduced me to 9" circular....OMG. I hate knitting with double point and these are a real game changer. Casting on mittens as we speak....thanks you XOXOXO😘
Awesome episode as usual Jodi and Tracie!! Gorgeous projects too!! I’ve bought Midknit Cravings too!! Their yarn is super soft! Happy knitting and crocheting from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️Marie
This was my first time to see your podcast, and can i just say that i love how positive you both are towards each other! It is so encouraging and happy to watch! Best 2 hours I have spent in a long time! Thank you :)
Knit City was fabulous this year! I happily waited in the Sweet Fiber line to purchase my yarn and so happy that they are doing so well. Such a great weekend, except that I didn’t get to see you both. Next time!
You guys are so sweet to each other. As always love watching your episode. So sad that K2TOG Sock Club has ended. Really enjoyed hearing the story each month, oh and getting the yarn and goodies too!
I love Midknit Cravings.....I needed a gradient set for a Stephen West shawl and I found them on Etsy. The yarn was a pleasure to knit with and the colors were fabulous. I wore it when I took a class from Stephen and he loved it too...
Love My Sister Knits... I have bought 2 poms from them. Made the Morning Walk Hat with Woolfolk yarn and put those amazing poms on them. I’m making a pilgrimage to Ft Collins to shop them this week with friends
I loved your Hamilton so much and how it looked on you (which is to say tee-Riffic!) that I have immediately gone right over to Ravelry and purchased the pattern. And even though it is 30 degrees Celsius here I am going to be starting on it so that I have it for winter next year.
Welcome Back from just outside Philly! Kicking myself from taking out the window air conditioners....been 80 and HUMID.....It’s October 11th.... seriously! With that whining done....I hope those in the path of the most recent hurricane are safe! Your sweaters are FABULOUS!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your Floozy!!
Holy Filp , I reversed and played the part about gauge again and took notes ! Took notes ladies ! Even if it's simple math cheat notes are the best !!!
Welcome back! You two are so amazing. You were missed! Jodi, I ordered my first bag from you and am eagerly waiting for the goodness to hit my mailbox. I'm already ready to make my next purchase without even getting my first purchase. 🤯😉🤗 I saw you and Tracey using your project bags in the podcast. LOVE THAT! I'm looking forward to seeing new items in your shop. I'm also looking forward to purchasing my first GG pins for my future bags. 😁 Thank you!
You guys! You have to go to My Sister Knits next time. It’s everything you’ve heard and I’m so lucky to have them as my LYS. Thanks for keeping me company on a sleepless night last night. You killing it with your designs! 😍😍😍
Yeah! You're back! Great podcast. Sounds like each time you go to yarn events you are relaxing more and more. You seem to be enjoying it and not such a race to do this and that. Getting a house sounds so much better for a group of people. As usual you never disappoint in the projects and the yarn! Jodi I love your new shawl design. Lovely. And both of your sweaters are beautiful. Everything you do and get done makes me feel slow! lol I'm sorry you both have a bug. Feel better soon.
Thank you!! We had the most wonderful time just sitting, eating and knitting in the house before Knit City. The actual festival was SO MUCH FUN! It seems to fly by, and we are already counting the days until we return. 😁
I was hoping to meet you at Knit City. My daughter and I loved it this year. We only went on Sunday, and I heard that Saturday was a lot busier. I am so fortunate to be going to the Knit Social retreat on Galiano next weekend! I’ve never been to a retreat before and am so excited! I live 30 minutes from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal so it was too hard to resist! I almost bought yarn for the Hamilton sweater but they didn’t have enough of the colour I liked. Yours is beautiful Tracie.
Knit city was so good this year more venders it was fantastic. Hugs in person is the best...love you guys. Jodi your sweater is lovely so nicely blocked. Tracy your sweater turned out really well. Sweet Georgia yarns always a chocolate box of beautiful color. P.s the red sweater is gorgeous floozy sweater love it so much it's so canadian. BrambleKnits 🇨🇦
I’m so excited to get to meet you again in May. I meet you at the Edmonton Fibre Feast , got a picture with you lovely ladies. It’s going to be ever better to sit, knit and chat with you ladies absolutely can’t wait.
Tracie, if you didn’t want to do the whole sweater with the color work you could follow the pattern closer to the yoke and then gradually decrease how much color work you do towards the bottom. Kind of like its “snowing” from the snowflake pattern at the yoke. Just a thought... Love your podcast!
So glad you're back? I was introduced to you last spring and I binge watched your episodes. So, I got to see you a couple times a week. Now I miss you when I can't see you for a couple weeks. Glad you had a great time at Knit City - my goal is to attend some year!
OMG I am so glad you girls are reviewing Strange Brew because I just learned that Tin Can knit is coming to my LYS here in Ottawa in November with their book!!! This got me even more excited!!!
Dang ... here the VERY novice knitter has checked 3 times to see if I missed your #65 ... and this morning YEAH!! Truly missed you girls and so glad you had a great time and got great bargains(hahaha) and ideas. No more month long vacations from blogging -- even if it's a short one to say hello. Seriously ... so glad you're back!! Loved all your CO's and WIP's .. so talented.
Knit City was so awesome and it was so great to meet you 😸...it was my first one, won't be my last 😻...I just finished the Jodi Shawl for my mom with some DK I got there, so fast and fabulous 😻😸😻
My Sister Knits would love to have you! Thank you for mentioning our LOCAL yarn - we love Nicole and all of her yarn. We have lots of these Estonian pompoms and are happy to take phone orders. We look forward to seeing you in the future!
You guys are causing serious damage to my bank account! I think I go shopping after all your episodes 😢 I just picked up the last 5 skein set featuring Tapas Bar ! ❤️
I'm not a Fringe Fan normally, but that Malibu Shawl is so groovy, I may have to make one! It has a kinda Native American vibe to it, I can see the Arizona Desert in that one. I love the Navajo rugs and that definitely has that look. Great job, Miss Jodie!
I live in Fort Collins Colorado, My Sister Knits is my local LYS. Super cute, charming and they're always friendly. I've never done a knit night because I work crazy hours, but I wish I could. You should come north next time you're in Colorado. We actually have several nice yarn stores: Your Daily Fiber, Lambspun, and Loopy Ewe to name a few. We are a knitting Mecca.
Received a reply and Ravelry download is all that is available and Knitpicks which is one of the listings where I can purchase it as a hard copy does not have it in stock yet. So will wait and see if it is available there as a hard copy before just having a digital copy
My Sister Knits is my absolute dream yarn shop! I was visiting my bestie ( who doesn’t even knit! ) in Loveland this summer and we did a little yarn crawl and I got to meet Nicole (Hue Loco) at her cute shop and we visited My Sister Knits in Fort Collins and it is the cutest with 😍 tons of fantastic fiber! You girls have to check it out the next time you’re in Colorado.
OMG -- i had the same jet setter doll collection. my dad always brought home a doll from his biz trips. i think i had some of the same ones you described!, 💕
Wear your Pom Pom with pride. If it makes you happy, go for it. I had every intention of visiting My Sister Knits earlier this year. But, only made it as far as Brown Sheep Yarn in Nebraska because of heavy rain and storms that cancelled the shooting event in Nunn, Colorado we were headed for. I intend to try again next year. Thank you for wonderful podcasts that share your excitement for different yarns and patterns. Looking forward to buying and knitting a couple of your designs.

I'm Italian and I did indeed croak at the store bought sauce. Though, the worst was when my dad put store bought sauce on homemade ravioli. You can put homemade sauce on store bought ravioli, but never the other way.
Tracie, the Libby, Floozy sweater is so beautiful. I’m like you
I want a Red Sweater.
🤣🤣🤣you two brighten my day ! ☀️
Thank you!!! You've just brightened ours....💗
I am sitting here at 2am watching you two and knitting the sleeves of the TurtleDove sweater (in black) JODI !!
you ROCK!!!! 🔥
On Malibu shawl.....how is a dropped stitch different from a yarn over?
You yarn over, then on the next row, you drop the yarn overs off the needle. Creating a "dropped stitch"! Hope that helps:)
