This comment makes a lot of sense and rules like that on a film set or TV set for a scripted sitcom etc make sense. But for a talk show, not at all. If an actor has to go through a process in order to answer some banal questions how tf do they get themselves dressed in the morning?
she has a ton of allegations. if a employee were to accuse ellen of abuse, that employee would have a very strong case. so it's absolutely not garbage.it's not hearsay either. all of this could be backed up. there's so much. she has many people that has worked for her, worked in the same building, people who has given her their services, and they all have negative things to say. not offensive? there's a lot of things that's not offensive. many of the things ellen has done to her staff, is not among them. what an absurd comment. if someone working for her came out with accusations, ellen would settle immediatly! If you don't find the last segment you saw in this video horrifying, I don't know what to tell you. this is her closest employee, telling you how he feels about ellen. that clip alone would be damning evidence in court. that clip tells you everything you need to know!
Saiaxs each to their own, I personally found the character very charming, funny and likeable, I’ll always remember the audience’s reactions to some of her funniest scenes when I first saw the movie. Her voice actress on the other hand??? Clearly she has a screw loose somewhere.
Honestly Dory was my all time favourite character in any film as a kid so the more and more unpleasant stuff i found out about her voice actress makes me kinda sad. I can still seperate art from artist and enjoy the character but it is still very disheartening
@@encycl07pedia- obviously, but I’ve never believed public shaming is ever productive. Think about the huge feeling of humiliation that she felt, I agree that she shouldn’t have taken anything extra, but to shame her in front of an entire audience, and put it on tv doesn’t really fit the crime. I’m sure she wasn’t the only one to take more than one item, and I’m pretty sure the only place the honor system actually works, is in Japan. They have plenty of unstaffed stores that the owner trusts that the customers will pay without supervision. That’d be awesome if more places were like that, but even kids can’t even follow the “please take one” rule on Halloween
I remember when Ellen came out and lost her show. She was an icon and a victim. I stood behind her then. Unfortunately, she's used her talk show to become a petty dictator and it turns out she's always been kind of an awful person. She is now overflowing with privilege and has let that go to her head. She's like the definition of cringe and passive aggression.
That's a really good way to put it! In her efforts to put herself on a higher pedestal, she's hurting so many people (staff, small creators she's been stealing from for years, etc.) and she either doesn't know, or doesn't care. I think she might think she can just pull out the "I'm gay and by not supporting me, you're being homophobic" card and get away with everything she does, which is playing the victim and just giving gay people a bad rep.
Please add one where she conforts Taylor about dating "many" men and making her cry. Taylor calls her friend but Ellen has done many problematic stuff towards her.
I think the fact that it’s a talk show that makes it so bad. Typically, talk shows are supposed to be casual, light hearted, with the host and guests being comfortable. Most hosts have to do research (or have others do it for them but either way they still need to know) stuff about them (eg. Recent movies, relationships etc) so that they don’t run out of things to talk about and all goes smoothly. Personally I don’t think it’s a huge deal in general, but it’s more the way Ellen handled it
The list, in better, more descriptive words. 10. Had a terrible memory on something fairly important 9. Didn't like somebody and got angry when they told the world that they had an argument 8. Had a skit on her show that called out fans that effectively stole from her/other fans 7. Was over the top for her show and managed to annoy celebrity guests with it 6. Didn't like a person and then became friends with said person 5. Didn't go to somebody's birthday party and then fumbled when asked for a reason why on public television 4. Stopped supporting a strike after one day and then went to work 3. Claimed to only talk to certain people on her staff, refusing to talk to the rest 2. Went to a football game with a former president who held views that countered her own 1. 3, but again.
I don’t understand how sitting down with someone who has a different political opinion than her made this list. That’s actually what we need more of today. This mindset is toxic and divisive.
SSJMatthew unfortunately I was looking for a comment like this for a few minutes but in a world where the mainstream media fully accepts the shaming of people with different opinions, these comments come few and far between
Right? That's just having a bad memory wtf...People tell me things all the time and I forget for a lot of reasons. Doesn't mean I don't care/make me a bad person. She sees way more people on this show than most of us know people irl. Give me a break.
@@Inurantchan it's her job to know these facts when interviewing people. Imo, don't come for me, it seemed like she intentionally did it to create drama for the show.
personally I cant stand her. I don't find her funny at all!!! She is a horrible person. But if you say too many things bad about her, she claims you hate gay people. she hides behind being a victim.
Here’s another clue that she’s not as nice as she seems: You ever notice how whenever money is usually given away on the show, it’s from some company, not her? It’s either Shutterfly, Green Dot, or some other company. Never her.
She is sponsored by those companies to give away that money. That's how it works with everyone who gives away money in public. Do a little more research before you complain about one of the most important person of the 21st century.
Well duh no one actually ever gives away their own money. It's always the sponsors of the show doing that. It's not only Ellen, every show does that. Even Oprah had sponsors. Or you honesty think she gave away cars to everybody?
I think #2 is actually a credit to her character. It is immature to hate or dislike someone because of a fundamental disagreement. It is okay to have different opinions, that is what America is all about.
Dude at the end.. "Even when you're nice, you can't be nice..." LMAO! Just proved the point. But... How is this any different than any other talk-show host/celebrity?
Because everyone has the false idea that she different and nice. People don't do their research, like how the author of Harry Potter is actually a garbage human too.
I can't believe people actually got mad at Ellen because she sat next to somebody. She was just being nice and that is what is wrong with some people this days, you can't do anything without being political.
Ellen kind of gives me the creeps and I'm not one to scare easy. You can see it in her eyes when she smiles or makes some kind of face her eyes never change.
What about they both have their nasty sides? I've personally never liked Ellen and don't care that much for Kathy. But you know you guys could both have a point without having to 'win' the argument..
Family Guy put it best I think: It’s all about her. She’s not as selfless as she thinks she is. Still like her, but noticed that a lot of the things she gives to people have her name literally all over it…
I have to admit watching her show made me anxious because of her antics so I decided not to watch her show anymore but why were celebrities wanting to be a part of her show? This didn’t happen overnight so what’s their excuse. Am I missing something?
Growing up my family would constantly watch Ellen, and even when I was younger I got the vibe she was an incredibly fake slimy person. Everything about her show came off as trying way too hard to be all "nice" and "perfect". Could never stand watching it.
The Howard Stern incident doesn't make the cut on this list for me because he's said some awful things. I wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to work with him.
Trey Cantrell they didn’t mention it in this video, but Ellen has numerous times cancelled interviews with guests with differing opinions. Most notably Kaitlyn Jenner. It just comes off as hypocritical that she’s okay hanging with bush when she’s not okay with so many others because they have the wrong opinion 🤷🏽♀️
Honestly the only one I'm not angry at is the George W Bush one. Only in the sense of there was no reason to cause a scene and being unpleasant in public in a social setting with assigned seating.
rpsyco No I’m pretty sure if you tell someone they’re irrelevant and people don’t know who you are, when you’ve had a long musical career, and she calls you a bitch for saying it, she probably means it.
@@gliphter I saw some other people saying that in the comments, and they were saying that because of the horrible thing she did to trump (I dont know what she did but thats what people were saying)
1:14 when Ellen DeGeneres forgot that I thought it had been a staged flaw. 3:05 This part was actually brilliant, these people who just can't follow the simplest rules need to be exposed, these are the people who instead of remain calm and leave the building in order they panic and spread panic when there's an earthquake or a fire.
I always thought she was a rude person, the constant passive aggressiveness and her constant obsession with embarrassing people, her constant obnoxiousness with talking over her guests
I haven’t watched Ellen in years but this was so stupid. In other words, she’s a human being. It’s fine. WatchMojo just spiraled out of control and this is some of the fallout. This comment makes a lot of sense and rules like that on a film set or TV set for a scripted sitcom etc make sense. But for a talk show, not at all. If an actor has to go through a process in order to answer some banal questions how tf do they get themselves dressed in the morning?
Ok, who at Watch Mojo worked for Ellen?
Seriously.
@sraboni 1234 most of this list is hearsay garbage that is not even offensive for anyone involved.
@sraboni 1234 r/whoosh
@@matthewlaunchbury265 ummm, do you even know wtf that means? Cuz i feel like you dont
she has a ton of allegations. if a employee were to accuse ellen of abuse, that employee would have a very strong case. so it's absolutely not garbage.it's not hearsay either. all of this could be backed up. there's so much. she has many people that has worked for her, worked in the same building, people who has given her their services, and they all have negative things to say. not offensive? there's a lot of things that's not offensive. many of the things ellen has done to her staff, is not among them. what an absurd comment. if someone working for her came out with accusations, ellen would settle immediatly! If you don't find the last segment you saw in this video horrifying, I don't know what to tell you. this is her closest employee, telling you how he feels about ellen. that clip alone would be damning evidence in court. that clip tells you everything you need to know!
Sad times when the animated fish she voiced in finding Nemo has more of a personality than her. Could never stand her.
Emperor Reign hahahaha
Dory was the worst part of that film and her sequel was even worse
Saiaxs each to their own, I personally found the character very charming, funny and likeable, I’ll always remember the audience’s reactions to some of her funniest scenes when I first saw the movie. Her voice actress on the other hand??? Clearly she has a screw loose somewhere.
Honestly Dory was my all time favourite character in any film as a kid so the more and more unpleasant stuff i found out about her voice actress makes me kinda sad. I can still seperate art from artist and enjoy the character but it is still very disheartening
@@emperorreign6154 people like Ellen are not like the characters they play. That's why they are called actors.
Calling out Nancy completely changed my outlook on Ellen. If she called me out I would have had a panic attack, and sobbed my eyes out.
IDK... maybe don't steal?
@@encycl07pedia- It is 100% true that stealing is wrong, but look how Ellen treated her over it. It is not as if she is a really good person.
Good comment
That's a really good way to put it! In her efforts to put herself on a higher pedestal, she's hurting so many people (staff, small creators she's been stealing from for years, etc.) and she either doesn't know, or doesn't care. I think she might think she can just pull out the "I'm gay and by not supporting me, you're being homophobic" card and get away with everything she does, which is playing the victim and just giving gay people a bad rep.
periodt
I'm with you 💯%!
I thought this list was going to have other things, this should be called something else than what it is called.
joel lara wtf are you even saying you weirdo
That's... oddly vague.
What drugs are you on? I’m always curious the kind of substance that could make some one come off as being lobotomized...
Personally, I think Ellen makes a better voice actress than a talk show host........😒
Really? The Bush thing was so high on the list? Come on...
Yea, that’s actually a good thing. People just don’t like people who don’t agree with them.
@@luk3pizza696 He's literally a war criminal
Well, yea
George is a war criminal. Sitting with him and having a nice chat with the guy is wrong.
Please add one where she conforts Taylor about dating "many" men and making her cry. Taylor calls her friend but Ellen has done many problematic stuff towards her.
I kinda feel like some celebs call Ellen their friend just because they're scared of her

Red flag? 🤔🚩
Ellen DeGeneres looks like Owen Wilson with a nicer nose
I can't unsee it now lol lol
Don’t disrespect Owen Wilson like that
Compared to Wendy Williams, this makes Ellen look like an angel
Yea
Forgetting some one was married oh the horror how could she
I think the fact that it’s a talk show that makes it so bad. Personally I don’t think it’s a huge deal in general, but it’s more the way Ellen handled it
Since she's a host and supposed to be friends it is.....
The list, in better, more descriptive words.
10. Had a terrible memory on something fairly important
9. Didn't like somebody and got angry when they told the world that they had an argument
8. Had a skit on her show that called out fans that effectively stole from her/other fans
7. Was over the top for her show and managed to annoy celebrity guests with it
6. Didn't like a person and then became friends with said person
5. Didn't go to somebody's birthday party and then fumbled when asked for a reason why on public television
4. Stopped supporting a strike after one day and then went to work
3. Claimed to only talk to certain people on her staff, refusing to talk to the rest
2. Went to a football game with a former president who held views that countered her own
1. 3, but again.
Brendan Risney omg I love this comment lol
None of these are actually bad except for 1,3, and 9. I don’t know why the comments are completely ripping on her, she’s a good person.
LuK3pizza69 lol number 1 was hella shady. Lots of these weren’t bad and I’m sure she’s still a good person but I couldn’t believe number 1 lmao
LuK3pizza69
Do you know her personally? Nice people generally don’t get these kinds of stories circulating about them in the first place.
RochRich IDK her but people make up false claims all the time.
How did you leave out the Mariah Carey Thing
When they said she stops people from looking and talking to her, a add popped up and said YOU HAVE CONTROL
I don’t understand how sitting down with someone who has a different political opinion than her made this list. That’s actually what we need more of today. This mindset is toxic and divisive.
SSJMatthew True
Sure, Jan. It's different when it's the dude responsible for giving the go ahead to murder countless innocent civilians in a pointless war???
Seb H it’s not like Obama was a saint. He dropped thousands of bombs over the region also.
Completely agree. I don’t like Ellen but I don’t think that her friendship with George Bush is a strike against her.
SSJMatthew unfortunately I was looking for a comment like this for a few minutes but in a world where the mainstream media fully accepts the shaming of people with different opinions, these comments come few and far between
6:50 That's Toby flenderson
Ravi Prakash ngl I’ll shoot Toby twice
You missed Mose too.
Who let that lemonhead go to a protest?
Hippotripo he was one of the show writers
this quarantine got y’all real bored huh
Hey Ellen fanboy
Last time I was this early Ellen was still relevant
The fact that she makes staff stay inside a small box for a long time so she can scare guests for laughs says a lot about her.
honestly,it isn't box, they came down below stage to the box
Me: *reads title*
Me: Kissing Kermit while Kermit was in a relationship.
When Ellen didn't know Katy Perry was married, I was like, “Well, not to be rude, but I was thinking Katy didn't either."
But did you give Katy presents on your show?
She invites these people, she could be decent enough to *know them!*
@mandixmx no wonder she doesnt communicate with her crew, they're frightened of her!
This aged well ! All the new staff stories coming out about her now
personally I cant stand her.
Never her.
AgentRedhead cause the companies pay her to give out the money they give her in order to promote their company
She is sponsored by those companies to give away that money. That's how it works with everyone who gives away money in public. Do a little more research before you complain about one of the most important person of the 21st century.
That's called "ADVERTISING"
My point is that she’s not giving her own money away. Everyone says she’s an inspiration, despite her not actually giving her own money away.
Well duh no one actually ever gives away their own money. It's always the sponsors of the show doing that. It's not only Ellen, every show does that. Even Oprah had sponsors. Or you honesty think she gave away cars to everybody?
Not going to lie, a lot of this was pretty cringey 😅
I seriously think she's getting early stages of Dementia... not even kidding..
I think #2 is actually a credit to her character. It is immature to hate or dislike someone because of a fundamental disagreement. It is okay to have different opinions, that is what America is all about.
The neighbor of my friend’s mother who is the niece of her grandmother’s father side on a distant relative mentioned that Ellen is not a good person.
Dude at the end.. "Even when you're nice, you can't be nice..."
LMAO! Just proved the point.
But... How is this any different than any other talk-show host/celebrity?
Because everyone has the false idea that she different and nice. People don't do their research, like how the author of Harry Potter is actually a garbage human too.
Cause the majority of other host don't pretend to be angels
I can't believe people actually got mad at Ellen because she sat next to somebody. She was just being nice and that is what is wrong with some people this days, you can't do anything without being political.
This whole list is a joke.. Not in a good way. Like wth are they attacking Ellen?
Lynne McGee Because she’s a evil hag.
Ellen kind of gives me the creeps and I'm not one to scare easy. You can see it in her eyes when she smiles or makes some kind of face her eyes never change.
who else came here from snapchat to avoid the ads?
Jenni S ME
And there were ads here.
Ellen needs to learn to be the person people believe her to be. She needs to be a nice person in real life.
Making Kathy Griffin cry should be applauded
Exactly my first thought. She has no class or morale' s to begin with.
Interesting how most of her comedy always revolved around passive aggressive remarks on guests and audience
Something tells me Kathy Griffin isn’t telling the whole truth.
Joseph Honey Kathy Griffin is a much worse person than Ellen is anyway. This list is garbage
I agree Kathy griffin is way worse and not that funny
She annoying
What about they both have their nasty sides? I've personally never liked Ellen and don't care that much for Kathy. But you know you guys could both have a point without having to 'win' the argument..
Kathy Griffin likes to play the victim and I don’t believe for a second that Ellen would just be a dick to her without reason.
Not the first time I've seen something regarding Ellen not being a nice person bts
Personally, I can't stand Ellen. To each their own of course.
I bet Nancy has been in quarantine since the Ellen show 😂
This is a weird video... y’all really got it out for her huh?
Growing up my family would constantly watch Ellen, and even when I was younger I got the vibe she was an incredibly fake slimy person. Everything about her show came off as trying way too hard to be all "nice" and "perfect". Could never stand watching it.
There’s a special place in Hell for scabs who cross picket lines🤬
The Howard Stern incident doesn't make the cut on this list for me because he's said some awful things. I wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to work with him.
If you have a problem with two people with different opinions hanging out...you’re the problem
Trey Cantrell 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Trey Cantrell That’s the only one that I didn’t fault her for. Everything else seemed pretty bad though
I say you are overreacting to at least half of these.
Curt Randall yeah and the other half of them don’t even have much proof of they’re just scandals
The one where the woman called Ellen a bitch seemed like a joke more than anything...
rpsyco No I’m pretty sure if you tell someone they’re irrelevant and people don’t know who you are, when you’ve had a long musical career, and she calls you a bitch for saying it, she probably means it.
Right, its like they forgot shes a comedian.
Quarantine its like being in prison.... as she sits in her mansion LOL
I'm glad she made Kathy Griffin cry
Why?
@@gliphter I saw some other people saying that in the comments, and they were saying that because of the horrible thing she did to trump (I dont know what she did but thats what people were saying)
I'm so glad the truth has finally come out.... I never liked her, but couldn't put my finger on "why"
And there people thought i just had no reasons to hate her.
Loved the bit recently when comedian Hasan Minhaj was in her show and she argued with him when he corrected her on the pronunciation of his name
Honestly you can tell she isn’t all that nice but she real good at being sarcastic so no one really takes it serious
It's long been known she's a nightmare to work for and her staff are in constant anxiety.
“Look at me! I’m a lesbian on tv!”
OMG, the more I listen to this, the more I don't understand why you even posted this video!
I still can not believe Ellen show is still on TV
It’s not good when she scares people with the things they are actually scared off
1:14 when Ellen DeGeneres forgot that I thought it had been a staged flaw. 3:05 This part was actually brilliant, these people who just can't follow the simplest rules need to be exposed, these are the people who instead of remain calm and leave the building in order they panic and spread panic when there's an earthquake or a fire.
I always thought she was a rude person, the constant passive aggressiveness and her constant obsession with embarrassing people, her constant obnoxiousness with talking over her guests
random suggestion: top 10 hell's kitchen challenges
Smaller scale, but how about when she announced Leighton Meester’s parents had been in jail.
It wasn't surprising that she's a very rude person behind the cameras when I heard about it.
Thank you for this, beware of angry fans
upcoming!
This just makes me love her way more 😂
I really hope none of this is true because I want to keep loving Ellen
At least she voices the lovable Dory
Isaac Stevenson was she though?
cale lively yeah Dory’s a good and funny character
I haven’t watched Ellen in years but this was so stupid. In other words, she’s a human being. It’s fine. WatchMojo just spiraled out of control and this is some of the fallout. How many ideas do you have left in the bottom of the box?
Edit: the number 2 reason of Ellen talking to Busch..are you kidding? That’s a reason? Jesus how the mighty have fallen.
What a nonsensical retort.
You're an idiot for liking that little boy.
