Oh my God! Yeah, I was living in Manassas, Virginia and going from Mutant Massacre to Fall of the Mutants... Somewhere in there is when I transitioned from buying off spinner racks at Safeway to a pull box at Infinity Comics. Nostalgia big time with these issues, man! I feel ya! These were my X-Men, too...
Dazzler Masterworks Volume 4, is selling a lot of copies as well.
The glossy border and the gloss on the cover picture is called a ‘spot varnish’, a sort of 5th color let’s say … And yes, these MMW are getting very expensive! €82,50 for this book here in Europe, ex shipping …

Freedom Force felt like it was Marvel's response to the Suicide Squad which came out the year before.
Great overview! I’d be interested in more videos on the MMW line, but I understand how you have to pick and choose what to record and put out each week. I don’t own any MMWs, but every now and then I see one that interests me. I don’t own any of these issues and now I’m not sure if I should get them in MMW or omni format.
Where do you get your shelves ?
The Claremont/Silvestri/Lee Years already in Masterworks Edition. It will a long wait before the PAD Hulk run but not that far from Michelinie/McFarlane ASM.

Don't get me wrong, Marvel Masterworks are awesome, but I think they're way too expensive for the things they collect. The Epic Collections collect way more stories and are way cheaper. I do understand, though, that Marvel Masterworks are HCs and they have better quality paper.
Masterworks are the high-end of quality for me. I collect the Spider-Man Masterworks more than the Epics, and will replace the Epics aa the Masterworks fill in. It's more of a personal taste thing overall.
That price is what allows the Epics and omnibus volumes to look so nice. The material is restored in the MMWs. Without MMWs the Epics and omnis would look like crap
@Aaron Cobbs yeah, Masterworks are very well made, I just don't think it's worth it to spend that much while there's another collected edition that's cheaper and has more material. It's a matter of taste, though

Value vs expensive are different things. Masterworks are not expensive for the target audience. Likewise, the value may not be there for those who think Masterworks are expensive.
I have the material in Fall of the Mutants omnibus and some of it in the Inferno Prologue omnibus, so I don't need this, but what's the advantage of the Marvel Masterworks that justifies such a high price tag. I don't buy DC absolutes either, but at least I understand that they're so expensive because they're huge oversized books, even bigger than omnibuses. But these? These are just standard-sized hardcovers.

I really want to get vol 15 and I got vol 13 because my Dad would tell me about the Uncanny X-Men #200-231 like that was what he grew up with & he said that he liked Uncanny X-Men #221 because of the cover and Mr Sinister frist appeareice and I think it was a good issue because Marc Silvestri is amazing, but I already have the Fall Of The Mutants omnibus and the Mutant Massacre one also the Inferno Prologue but I've never been a fan of the paper they used with the reprinted editions but I got the Marvel Masterworks Uncanny X-Men vol 13 and loved the paper with the attention to detail with the colours being striking but I want to get it even tho it's double dipping
