I understand it appears to be a bit long but that’s the last thought you’ll have after.
As with all spiritual ironies, I never realized this video was posted 3yrs ago on Good Friday and the irony is that I just posted this actual msg below just last wk on Good Friday as you’ll see at the bottom. Sadly it’s with a heavy heart that I wrote my original post which I’ve decided to paste here given the fact that this song was actually put out on Good Friday just a few yrs back but more importantly the overall tragic news I wanted to share with y’all while expressing my own sympathies as well as to reach as many of KB’s fans as possible with the hopes that y’all will not only take a moment to reach out to him on one of his social media platforms but to also genuinely take a moment & say a prayer for him and his family. Again, here’s the msg I posted on another video of KB’s that’s a favorite of mine from Good Friday last wk.
To any real fans of KB, please be sure to go to any of his songs or FB, Instagram whatever and express ur condolences to him & his family who lost the youngest child out of 7. I’m a fan from Orlando and just a couple nights ago KB’s youngest sister K’Mia was in the passenger seat of her boyfriend & father of her children’s car as they were driving back from what sounded like putting a deposit down for a bday party venue. She had her 2 y.o. daughter in the back seat and her 1 y.o. In her arms and the children’s father was driving when all the sudden they were boxed in at a red light & ambushed in St Pete to which two men got out and got to dumping recklessly into the car with the intended target being the driver/ father of the children. Unfortunately like so often, the innocent pay for the guilty’s sins and this case was no different. K’Mia was struck and killed by the many rounds shot into the car. It can only be described as a miracle that her 1y.o. she was holding was not hit and I’m sure she did everything she could to make sure of that before being called to heaven. Her 2 y.o. Daughter in the back seat also survived unscathed which can only equally be described as miraculous considering two bullets pierced through the booster according to detectives and said the only thing they can think of as to why she was not hit was possibly due to her positioning as the bullets pierced through. This world has always been an unfair place but things just seems to never change when it comes to senseless gun fatalities. KB stated in a police press conference that his baby sister was the one he always had preview all his songs before releasing anything he put out as she was his biggest fan and for him, he stated she was the inspiration behind all his music which was now taken from him. So I can only pray that anyone who sees this will take a moment to find him on one of his social media platforms and show as much love and support as possible. As a soon to be 40 y.o. father who was fortunate enough to grow up in the greatest era of rap/hip hop & have 4 kids myself, I can only pray that this man and all the others like him who have true world wide marketing appeal, fire music and keeps it all positive including expressions of his faith, we as society start supporting these artists over the ones continuing to influence a culture of hate & jealousy. It’s time to start supporting ALL of each other no matter race, class, culture or specific community as there is no day to day life issues amongst the Avg ppl. The battle is GOOD vs. EVIL....periodt!!!!! If we don’t unite ASAP then more and more examples of what Lil Nas X is doing to influence our youth by attempting to make worshiping satan seem acceptable. Never in my life would I ever think society would allow such dangerous content & imaging to be displayed for our children to be influenced by. Anyway, it’s not about that right now. This is about showing love and support to a young man & his entire family who are paralyzed with grief right now so anyone who can take 5 min & show any support I imagine would mean a lot to them all, especially as a family of faith. God bless all on this literal Good Friday of 2021.
