I've had a lot of loss in my family from a young age,just a year after her father died and I'm only just under a year older than Lisa i picked up on that sentence straight away and my heart broke for her. To lose her son to suicide I really can't imagine,just so very sad.

Yes the social expectation she be happy and excited when she may well have been depressed would be hard too. Elvis was only 42 with his heart attack it was more attributed to diet and drugs I thought but he was likely depressed about his divorce and his Mother's death too a weak heart may be a hereditary issue also. I did not see the film but imagine the scenes of her as a little girl would have painful also it's not just entertainment for everyone it was her life.
I remember seeing her picture at the golden globes and I was shocked at how unwell she looked. The make-up could not hide her pasty skin colour and texture. I was worried that she might be ill and a few days later I learn of her death. A few years ago she looked healthy and fit. I had no idea that she was unwell. May she rest in peace⚘

I can first hand relate. I lost my mother to a brutal murder when I was just 6yrs old in 1981. My mom layed in a cornfield for 3 weeks wrapped in a mattress until two 12 yr old boys found her while playing hide and go seek after school. The loss was so profound, and the trauma immense for the boys who found her. Til' this day, no one has ever served a day in prison for her death. Fast forward to 2014 and I lost my daughter "my baby girl" @24yrs old. My world was again shattered and I've never recovered. Today, I just exist because I have other grown kids and I have to be there for them. BUT I lost my mom, i lost my baby ... Lisa Marie lost her dad, she lost her baby. I 100% understand if this was simply a broken heart. This life is extremely hard and I envy the people who got the better end of it. Hug your children peoples ... and your parents.

I just loss my oldest daughter to suicide/ murder, and then my oldest son to drug overdose Fentynal, just within a couple months apart. By experience, alcohol, and drugs only compound the emotional impact, but I thank my Lord Jesus, that He helped me remove my mountains, and that same faith is helping me overcome the obstacles along my journey in this life. There is a peace, and a strength in Jesus, that passes all understanding. God Bless.

She tried, but the drugs won..but she was still loved and important to our family and is missed every day. That's not an agenda, it's just plain sad.

Just think of the emotional pain she had to be going through. Still grieving the loss of her son, having to celebrate her fathers birthday in front of all those people, on what looked like a cold day. It was probably draining for to supervise, remember her father's death, as she said, it took her five days to recover from the movie. I think it’s poor taste to say she looked drugged,especially before we know what the cause of death is. It may be the case you are right,but have some respect. There is a long family history of heart disease……..as a medical,professional I can tell you that certain cardiac issues, mini strokes,etc, can cause speech and ambulatory problems.

My brother had it all, great job, new loving wife and stepson, beautiful home and cars...it wasn't enough, he took his life 9 yrs ago. I miss him every day...out of my 5 siblings he was my favorite and biggest supporter. He wouldn't answer my calls for 6 weeks prior to. Gladys died of heart attack at age 46. Drinking was an issue and she worried Elvis would meet his demise due to his celebrity. She wished they were all poor again. Gladys already knew the heartbreak of losing a son when Elvis’ twin died. Wasn’t it also implied that Elvis died from a drug related heart attack/failure? It’s just so very sad. I lost my son 18 months ago, my life will never be the same. It’s very easy to isolate from everybody, you go through the motions like a zombie. My heart aches for this family. Then her beautiful son looked just like his grandfather n then losing your child OMG that is a mother's nightmare. She never got to breath dealing with that tragic nightmare 😔 😪 n she has 3 children that she had to be very STRONG for n she barely was strong for herself. It was way to much for her. One report said that she had been having stomach pains earlier in the day. I wonder if it was heart related or something else like an ulcer. I enjoyed her music- the duets she recorded with her dad's songs and the ones she did on her own. I grew up in Memphis and remember when she was born....I was just a little kid, but it was all over the news and everyone was excited to see Elvis's baby. It was such a happy time--so sad now.

She seemed like she didn't feel well, and or was just tired. Which I completely get. Our family has suffered young loss, one suicide. Watching the family struggle year after year is heartbreaking to say the least. My heartfelt prayers go out to her family. Rest in peace ❤️🕊️

Just think of the emotional pain she had to be going through. Still grieving the loss of her son, having to celebrate her fathers birthday in front of all those people, on what looked like a cold day. It was probably draining for to supervise, remember her father's death, as she said, it took her five days to recover from the movie. She looked fragile, exhausted, no sparkle in her eyes or expressions. as she asked to lean on Jerry. It's just so sad, but RIP little one, you're with your son and your adoring father now. My brother had it all, great job, new loving wife and stepson, beautiful home and cars...it wasn't enough, he took his life 9 yrs ago. I miss him every day...out of my 5 siblings he was my favorite and biggest supporter. He wouldn't answer my calls for 6 weeks prior to. Nobody knows how unrelenting depression is, he just couldn't survive it another day. To everyone struggling with life, my heart goes out to you.❤

To lose a loved one to suicide is extremely painful. It is a death unlike any other. You are left with so many unanswered questions, and the only person who can give you the answers, and any solace, is gone forever. To lose a child, multiplies the pain 10 fold. I cannot even imagine how she lasted this long. I lost my husband over 4 years ago. We have a son together. I'm thankful every day that my son is doing well, and pray that he continues on a positive path.

I lost my son 18 months ago, my life will never be the same. It’s very easy to isolate from everybody, you go through the motions like a zombie. My heart aches for this family. She seemed so fragile or in physical pain at the awards. I have seen the sadness in her eyes, especially since the loss of her son, but she just looked so weak. One report said that she had been having stomach pains earlier in the day. I wonder if it was heart related or something else like an ulcer. I enjoyed her music- the duets she recorded with her dad's songs and the ones she did on her own. I grew up in Memphis and remember when she was born....I was just a little kid, but it was all over the news and everyone was excited to see Elvis's baby. It was such a happy time--so sad now.

By experience, I understand that deep struggle she had inside. I just loss my oldest daughter to suicide/ murder, and then my oldest son to drug overdose just within a couple months apart. Dealing with the heartache, and pain is an individual mountain to overcome, but alcohol, and drugs only compounds the obstacles along your journey in this life. Looking into the mirror, and talking inventory of yourself, and allowing God to heal your heart is the only remedy, in the name of Jesus, in our weakness, He shows His strength Amen.

I feel for her children, but I'm happy she is reunited with her son, Ben. Yes, losing her Son hastened her life. I can say from personal experience that losing her son had destroyed her health. I had a major heart attack in June. I saw Jesus and my son. They both told me I couldn't come yet. I don't know why I am still here, but I trust that God will show me the way. I pray for her Mom and children.
