I've been drawing pictures and coming up with an idea of a line dolls. I want to figure out how to get a name copyrighted and trade marked. I've been writing down my ideas and drawing pictures of different doll characters and writing down their names, age and where they live and other things that I want the line of dolls to look like.
This was a awesome video with great examples. Thank you. Question: currently (2024), is it possible to copyright register a collection of intellectual property or do one need to register one at a time? For example: say you have at least 40 digital art pieces, 3 e-guides, and few other paper based tools (charts/writing boards). Seems this would be costly to get each item copyright registered. Do you agree?
Does “Trade Dress” apply to all sizes? Example being if someone makes and sells an action figure holding a miniature unnamed version of the Nintendo controller. It’s 1/10th the size and non working but is it still infringement?
5:57 for overview of Trademark & Copyright.
Thanks . I really like the quick quizzes 🙏🏽❤️

Very instructive 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Do instructional videos need to be copyrightRegistered?

You can register a group of works at one time in certain situations. This applies to copyrights - NOT trademarks.
Is the trade dress the same as a patent?
No

I don't see why it wouldn't. You can't sell a miniature doll with a logo from a corporate brand. That's still infringement.
Anyone else think he sounds kinda like John Malkovich?
Interesting take... never got that before!
