Thank you ,,this is one of the best video tutorials that I have ever seen on RUclips..Very basic .easy to understand and made learning fun. Just a few comments that you may or may not agree with ..Lower the volume of the music in the background or leave it out altogether to help project your voice more...AND..put your name and the name of your site at the beginning and the end of the video.
I've been looking at tutorials, a LOT of them to find a good one that explains things well and simply, on how to do simple photo editing! Your tutorial is definitely one of the best I have seen. I 'understand' now. And I am sure I will be able to remember your tips.
Pretty cool i liked this video very much thank you so much looking forward for more videos of tutorials on gimp tool Please let me know a sample editing technique(tips) for wedding photography using gimp tool
After the tool selection. I would click on the bucket fill and the lines go away and when i fill the area the whole picture is painted. How did you get the select tool lines to stay while trying to use bucket fill paint?
I would like to know how to change the size of the document file. I have a document file that I need to upload but it can not be larger than 3 MB. The file ranges from 5 MB to 11 MB depending on how much content is in the file. I was told using GIMP could resize the file.
Just wondering, when u used the lasso ...some of the time you selected a rough, larger area, and some of the time you were very particular to select the exact border...why the difference?
@@throughmyeyes7883 I think you need to over do it a bit as you don't know how it is looking on everyones monitor, we all need to see the effect easilly.
Question: After editing the color of a photo by using the "Free Select Tool", how do I get rid of the selection lines? I want to be able to see my picture without the editing lines.
Whoa hol up. You skipped a part between adjusting the grass and the water. I've got still got an active...?selection? How do I abandon that previous adjustment So I can move onto another?
In the last screenshot of your video, before and after, you can see that the after is worse than the before. I am a Newbie learning gimp and can see that this is not the way to retouch a photo...
2:00 Totally wrong. Brightness takes every pixel, every color value of point, and ads or subtracts constant value. Contrast will, basically, make dark pixels darker and bright pixels brighter (or make dark pixels brighter and bright pixels darker - that's why the slider is in the middle by default). 2:15 No. Not really. You totally killed any details in these trees because of toooooo high contrast. As about curves, what you did was basically just adding contrast, just the way you have much much more power over. That would be good to mention. Well... The result looks... Huh... Too 2002...
THANKS MAN. ALL I WANTED IN ONE VIDEO.!!!!!!!!
Simple and to the point. Loved it.
Excellent video. Looked at your other videos! I live in cocoa beach!
Very well presented. Excellent video.
Excellent video, however I think the Pidgeon community might take exception to a Seagull being called a Pidgeon... lol.
ha ha, perhaps it feels that it is realy a pidgeon trapped in a seagulls body.
ahahhaahhahah
@@MoreChannelNoise The seagull's pronouns are "They" and "their."
Thankyou. Very informative video lesson! Easy to understand and to follow.

Thank you. I used your tutorial as basis for a home assignment. It helped a lot.

How to deselect your selektion?

I could not understand one thing. Why did you increase the Hue of Yellow color on the grass?
how do you deselect your selection?
Click on select (Top right corner) and click none.
Just wondering, when u used the lasso ...some of the time you selected a rough, larger area, and some of the time you were very particular to select the exact border...why the difference?
I believe he did that to also show us that we could be less careful and still get excellent results by using the eraser tool.
my questiin is that you are amazing
Wouldn't it be better to use a layer mask instead of roughly select the area and remove unwanted changes manually?
Understanding layers has really been confusing for me. You've helped increase my understanding.
Pls keep it up
thnx
I cannot use contrast options
it is a bit too vivid now :)
yes I realized it after seeing it in good monitors and android devices. Thanks for your comment.
Vy Al I agree. Doesn't seem natural.

Crudechannel 4 right click on the layer with the selection then hover over the "select" option and then click none. Hope that helped!
Yup it worked! Thanks a lot!
Why do you need different layers ?
Good video = sub
sir why u added yellow color to whole color that part i don't understand
sir,
how to save picture ?
you have to export it. Do not save or save as...that will only allow gimp and other project save formats etc. Export allows png, jpeg etc
Whoa hol up. You skipped a part between adjusting the grass and the water. I've got still got an active...?selection? How do I abandon that previous adjustment So I can move onto another?
Google says "CTRL+SHIFT+A" to unselect all
Something very fishy. Every comment indicates this was the best Gimp video. It's one of the worst!
It depends on your point of view. I happen to like how straight forward it was. Didn't get too bogged down with endless settings in the interface.
well isn't it too much blue?

The bird photo looked better before. Way overexposed looking.
Good tutorial... but did you just call a seagull a pidgeon?

BRO WHEN I SELECT OPACITY TO 50 IT CONVERTS THE WHOLE IMAGE TO THAT 50. OPACITY IS NOT WORKING ON THE SELECTED AREA ONLY
