@Mad I do think the club are starting to address those problems from when Richard Arnold took over. The club invested pretty heavily last season on some glaring problem areas. And have been pretty clever in the winter transfer window with no budget. It feels organic, and I like it. ETH has been making players already available to him play to their potential and spending money where its needed. Even with the Qatari owners I would not want to see the club do a Chelsea and buy a whole squad in one go. A successful squad is built over time.

Phillips is not realistic at all. He’s a Leeds man, playing for United’s city rivals. He would never join United. No City player would be realistic, but Palmer would have the best case to leave, since he doesn’t get much game time.

REYA would be the only goalkeeper I will love to the sign, if David De Gea happen to leave. Such a fantastic keeper. Very good on the ball and can start the build play from the defence,simply because he good on the ball. He is having a great season at bentford.
Think de Gea will stay and needs to stay. Maybe we should sign Raya either way because we need two reliable Goalies like we did when we had de Gea and Romero. Butland is just on loan anyway and has every chance to go back just like Dúbravka, Heaton is probably not good enough as a second choice at this point and Henderson wants to be a starter so we may just be left with two Goalies - de Gea and Heaton or Butland. ten Hag likes his team to play out from the back so he atleast needs one GK option who's good with his feet, particularly against teams that press hard.

@@bigchef4414 Idk I think with the other midfielders he'd fit in a similar CDM/CM number 6/8 role where he's a deep laying playmaker who covers the centre and has runners wide or Kane short up top. I think Ward Prowse is quite good at the long ball, he's not really a ball carrier so when we have 4 runners in behind the back line we need that quality pass.

People underestimate how good a goalkeeper David Raya is. He is like the best of both worlds good with his feet and hand.
Caicedo has got to be one of our top targets in the summer tbf. The guy has got the ball winning ability of around a similar level to Casemiro and can also play box to box, that means he could either replace Casemiro in a holding role when he's suspended/injured/rested or can even play next to Casemiro as more of a box to box midfielder pushing forward. He's also only 21 years old so he could be a long term replacement for Casemiro plus he's apparently also a Man United fan and is PL proven. He would probably cost £70-80 Million but considering his age and how good he already is, plus with the massive budget potentially coming in for the summer, why not? Caicedo for £70-80 Million and Sabitzer probably for around £20-25 Million (if he does well on loan) would be solid Midfield signings in the summer.

Something has to change in football. It's ridiculous clubs can work really hard on scouting good players for a small amount of money only for when they do well a big club can just come in and steal them. I hate it. It is so hard for smaller clubs to build.
It is called making profit really. Buy cheap, if they work out, they will be happy to cash in for lots more than they paid. Clubs like Southampton have made a very good effort amount of money doing that. It is the same in every league.
The only way around it perhaps is requiring minimum fee release clauses like Spain and other leagues do, so you can guarantee that anyone buying your players has to spend big enough to make sure you at least get a good return.
Flex took a huge L, when talking about Botman, he has probably been the best defender in the entire PL this season, he walks into that Man U starting line up easily.
He doesn't walk into united easily at all. he'll bring depth but he's not starting over martinez or varane.
