He was ok. In my opinion he still takes too many touches on the ball which slows the game. I also noticed a reluctance to pass the ball to mazraoui, which made us very predictable.

I was actually impressed by how zerkzee played with his head up the whole time!

very different dynamic from last season. Keep in mind almost half the squad that played didn't have a proper pre-season/aren't fit; Garna, Bruno, Zirk, Kobs, Mags, Mazraoui, Martinez etc
maybe because United played without striker lol. Bruno scored when nobody expect him to, but missed easy chances in front of goal. always like that
I judge the game more on the shots vs shots on target than actual possession .

I was impressed with how calm the team were after the goal. They didn't panic when they had the ball and stayed organised and focused to see the game out
Exactly what I was looking out for. United would keep a couple more clean sheets this season.
GET IN!! Three points & cleansheet in the opener is just what the doctor ordered. A nervy one. I was actually quite liked our tactical display tonight, we really looked like we had a productive preseason with the new coaches. A couple of mistakes like Garnacho diving giving up possession & Licha overcommitting leaving us 2v1 but our work off the ball was generally good. Only worry is we should've scored 3 or 4. Still missing chances. All our new signings impressed. Debut goal for Zirkzee, I enjoyed Mazraoui's game, De Ligt came on & helped us see out the cleansheet. Happy days. Oh, & Maguire was solid, I was really happy with him too, fair dos to him. We march on. 💪

Mazraoui is a classic footballer in terms of smart decision making and marking and link up play and passes and pushing the ball forward no wonder Morocco reached the World Cup 4 their squad is actually good in terms of quality players

Casemiro and Maguire were easily the best players on the pitch today. Although Peirera made a shyte pass, Maguire's positioning in that 2 v 1 for interception was CRUCIAL. Casemiro was just phenomenal, he was everywhere, orchestrating and even attacking. that was my MOTM. Mazroui really looked good and so did Dalot. and the icing on the cake, Zirkzee's debut goal @ home😎I can't wait to see the team when everyone is fit.
Casemiro was shite for large portions of the game with good spells in between he made a few great passes but he slso made some poor ones

Noussair Mazraoui...That's it! That's my comment. Match fitness and sharpness was clearly evident. Gradually we'll grow and be good. We need De Ligt and Ugarte to start against Brighton otherwise we'll get slapped. Casemiro put in a shift but the lack of pace is NOT GOOD. Maguire also did well but can't be starting, he slows the game down too much. But opening game, a win, a clean sheet? I'll take that. We also need Sander Berge coming of the bench instead of Scott McTominay. We'll gradually grow into the tactical twitch that was clear to see and we've got to put our chances away. Rashford is finished in my book(Please proof me WRONG Mr. MBE).

Really uplifting performace that. Lots of performances that were impressive. Mainoo started off like its just last season, no drop off in performance levels. Mazraoui looked assured. Casemiro looked much better. Maguire was great too. The press was really good in the first half. Lots of positives to take

Dude was tracking back, active in defence and aggressive. Overally, the intensity of trainings is paying off on the pitch thanks to EtH strategy, hope it's not a one game thing and it actually continues

Tbf we should've won that game far more comfortably. We need to be far more clinical but I'm sure that'll come. We create many chances & we barely gave Fulham many chances which is a huge positive. How good was Mason Mount and Mazroui today? All the players did well. Maguire, Licha, Dalot inn the back. Casamiro's impact in the defense, the link-up and build up as well as clean tackling. There have been so many positives to take from this game. Rashford looked solid with Diallo and Bruno.
