Ran Takahashi (髙橋 藍 or たかはしらん, Takahashi Ran, born 2 September 2001) is a Japanese male volleyball player and an Olympian. He plays as an Outside Hitter for Nippon Sport Science University's club,[1] Japan men's national volleyball team and Vero Volley Monza.

Ran is the most consistent performer in the team. Even in his 'worst' offensive days he still manages to do more for the team by simply just being a good receiver and passer.

@@samueljhaveio1816It's actually Ran. 3 Match MVP out of 7 wins by Japan. He's also the only one who scored double digits in all of their games. But without a doubt, Yuki is the ACE, leading their offensive power. It also might not directly show in the stats but Ran's second ball touches (from a block) during rallies helps the team in keeping the momentum most of the time.

@@eynjelgurl He is like a second libero on top of his OH duties. Many of his return passes are from insanely difficult serves and hits from opponents. I have adored ishikawa since he first debuted and at his age i expect the level of consistency he displays. But Ran has got to his curent level a lot quicker. He is almost like 3rd captain behind ishikawa and sekita.
@@drjowjow He was really battle hardened in Superlega. His digs most of the time are directed back to the setter position too which is remarkable honestly. He cemented that OH2 position, while Yuki for OH1. They just complement each other so well.
Having Ran in the team is of great help. He's an all around player. Offense and Defense is really good. And he's is so young! There's so much more for him in the future. Always rooting for team Japan! 💗 Next week is quarter finals already, you deserve that spot and praying for you guys to move forward til the finals and claim that championship! 🏆

I hope they can beat Brazil but Brazil was probably preparing their nxt match after their loss from Cuba. Imagine Cuba winning over Brazil in this edition. And Japan beating Cuba in 3 sets. What a game. And I hope Japan to medal at this edition as no Asian nation has yet to win in VNL
They just did!!! And Ran made the match winning point! He was awesome all throughout the 5 set match - he was going against goliaths some 20 cms taller than he is!

Japan has a deadly team this year. All of them have really come together and really shined in their own right. Yamauchi, Onodera, Sekita, and Yamamoto seem to get overlooked in favor of Ran, Nishida, Ishikawa, & Miyaura. Team Japan has been incredible together ❤
But Ran really destroyed Cuba this game and showed the world that he isn’t just that “good looking volleyballer” - he’s a force to be reckoned with and still growing his talent every day.

Japanese players in general are taller than average pple but they are considered short in sport like volleyball or basketball.
Being Muscular doesnt mean stronger,if being Muscular being stronger bodybuilders are the strongers pples in the wrld😂🤣.
U just need be athletic not Muscular,japan just have 1 muscular player, Nishida.
In 20 or 30 years japanese pple will way taller.
And asians pple needs eats more meat and exercise way more, just look at shohei ohtani the best baseball player in the world, hes very Muscular and tall bc hes play in USA
