Welcome to the Semi Finals! I am teaming up with Rakaviti.com, to get the Fiji Rugby fans opinion on who the fastest Fijian rugby player of our era is. "Over the next few weeks we’ll be running a series of polls to determine who you, the fans, think is the fastest Fijian Rugby player since the turn of the century.

Sireli Bobo hands down the fastest Fijian i have seen on a field when hw was playing for Wellington back in 2003-2004. He was tall and had long strides but was also lightning off the mark for his height too.

Fastest "top speed"

Jarryd Hayne was fast.. but wouldn't touch those guys. Remember Hayne ran a 11.20 100m in 2009.. Koroibete ran a 10.66 and so did Rokocoko in their prime which in 100m terms is a big difference of 5+ metres. Caucau would outrun most due to his swerve and speed change which was unbelievable and he never looked like he was going at 100% which adds to his legacy of being one of if not the fastest. Bobo and Lutumailagi are fastest for me though both have long powerful strides, but Bobo was also lightning off the mark too and had both Top speed and Acceleration. Vunibaka and Koroibete have similar running styles and speed.. but Vunibaka is a yard or 2 ahead for me. Naduva clocked 36km/h-37km/h at sevens which Hayne has never hit. Hayne probably get to 35.5km/h in his prime. Darius Boyd chased Hayne and got him in 09 when Hayne was at his quickest.. and Boyd isn't known for his speed.. which makes me think Hayne isn't as fast over long range as we think.
