Jack is such a good guy - always looking out for other people and his friends - telling them to try his dishes, you can tell he loves what he does, what a nice guy and great cook!
Just found your series of videos about two weeks ago and have tried several of them already. I've shared the dishes with friends and family to rave reviews. Love your cooking style of off the cuff handful of this and pinch of that. Your videos are great and you have such a great easygoing style. Keep em coming. Hope to make it to your restaurant one of these days. Greetings from Lawrence Kansas. Rock Chalk Jayhawk.
Big man, u r shrinking! Great to see, means u will b around a lot longer to show us yr east coast cooking! Am a chef in south australia, and i love learning about our great friends, the USA's, cuisine from a real american. Australia and USA, together as brothers in arms since 1917.
Hey Jack, all your recipes, this one included, are so fun to cook and even more fun and delicious to eat. I've whipped up many and love them all. Would be great to see some more heart healthy recipes to go along with these tradition classics that are awesome. I just don't make these that often as I monitor fat and cholesterol content. Don't ever loose track of these great recipes but would be fun to get your take on more healthy recipes as well. Or, organize links to the heart healthy recipes that are already there. You'll always be my fav online chef regardless.
I’ve enjoyed watching you during this quarantine! I’m in Austin, Tx...heard you mention Matt Martinez, Jr.! I’ve been eating at El Rancho since the 70’s! Take care! Xo
I use to hang w/ Matt and visited Austin one time with him. What a guy, the family is legendary! My friend Luke has a food truck in Austin, check him out. Called Lukes, I knew him and his wife when they were kids in Dallas. Best In 2021, Jack
Man that looked delish. Wish I had the money to come over to the US, because if I did, This is the place that I want to eat and explore the area. Nice to see that you are a family run restaurant and you include your family in the video. Definitely a sandwich that needs exercise afterward. Cheers Jack and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Thank you for all the videos and your channels...love them. Would you do a video on the best pans, knives, or other things you use? What your recommendations would be for a chef? Thanks...🙏

Can never have too much cheese. Swiss, American, Parmesan why not. Add some White Cheddar next time. Thanks for the videos...always enjoy the content and look forward to next one. If I'm ever in CT., I'm coming to see Daddy Jack!
Hahaha, the Cooking With The Blues Taste Test Nod...if I had a nickle. Better yet, if I could taste test one of his recipes I'd gladly give up all of my nickles!
Jack I love that you made a classic dish your own!! You bring back so many great memories for me brother. Have a great Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for my friend!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
You can't beat high quality processed American cheese (i.e., not the stuff individually wrapped). Jacques Pepin said it is the best on burgers. I'd say on nearly any sandwich, including this one.
All the food you cook looks amazing. As a customer, if I went to your restaurant and asked the server to bring me whatever the chef wanted to make for me to eat, is that acceptable? Or, should I choose off the menu? Just curious.
Thank you for the videos Daddy Jack. Your food and the atmosphere in your restaurant is on my bucket list if I should leave Norway for a U.S. holiday. Do you make a Veal Parmesan? :-)
I've watched a lot of your stuff... Love it! Dont know how I found you, but I'll be making a short trip from MA to come see you real soon. It would be an honor to try one of your dishes! Keep up the real!
Dear GOD that sandwich is ridiculous! More cheese, more cheese, more cheese, Moar Cheese! This has got to be the most delicious thing I’ve seen all week. If I made this for my family they would swear I’m trying to kill them.
Toss up but you have to throw in Luther Tucker, He passed away very young! I never got to see Freddie when I was in Dallas. I was the Banquet Chef at the Fairmont and I was working 80 hours or more a week.I never got out to play until years later.
Jack is such a good guy - always looking out for other people and his friends - telling them to try his dishes, you can tell he loves what he does, what a nice guy and great cook!
You have a very special daughter in Luci. I’ve never seen someone so sweet and genuine and who loves her dad so much. You’re blessed Jack!
My Last Name is Blackwell
RIP Daddy Jack and prayers for your beloved family!!
You are missed and loved!!
Wonderful to see the great interaction between family and coworkers.
Lets talk about how your show is just LOVE!!!! no matter who is in the shot.
I think its Jacks confidance that makes it so nice to watch....n no silly yelling or prissy kooky behavior...THANKYOU!!!!!
That's a Monte Christo sandwich with a lot more innerds.. and a croque monsieur is topped with bechemel sauce
I tried your Chicken/Shrimp Scampi recipe, but I used Scallops. Very nice. I made some fresh fettuccine covered with the sauce. Excellent.
I’m just going to say you make it look so easy and outrageously delicious. Thanks. Tony

It looked great but its no croque monsieur. How about calling it a croque daddy jack or something.
B is a great addition to the channel. Cheers !
I was mistakenly thinking this was some sort of deep fried potato croquette thing. This cheesy croque looks sooo much better.
I gotta make this. Jack you're awesome. I'd move to New London if I could afford it. Ha, ha.
Beautifully browned just like your blackened seasoning does to chicken!
I really like your cooking. Yummy yum yum. Beautiful!

Big Jack, you can put a sock on that and I would eat it, nothing like having some fun while cooking, especially when you bring the staff into it!
Coolest dude on youtube.

That looked great!! I ate something like it, but it had a thick batter, and was deep fried, it was so rich I could barely eat it
