Lucas Higdon We all know MJ is leagues above Zion. He’s the single greatest basketball player of all time. Period. However, considering Zion is only 5 ppg behind MJ, Zion can and will be great (barring any injury). It’s true he only played 19 games this season so far, but he showed us he is more than capable of taking over the league. He’s incredible.

I don’t disagree that ESPN’s list is crap but the ranking is predicting 2019-2020 production. So it’s not just who is better. Yes they do this to push your buttons.
Ja, they ranked Klay at 49 because he just had ACL surgery, and may not even play this year. And if he does play, there's no telling how good he will be as he works off rust and gets used to his repaired ACL. They gave him a more appropriate rank of 18 the previous year.
