    Agreed, i have the tangram and think it's well worth the extra weight for the strength of it in a storm. Love it🎉❤

    Dan👍👍 Good comparison of the two tents. I'm with you on the Tangram, more sturdy when erected and not nearly as open to the weather. For me those are both one man tents, may be big enough for two smaller individuals but I don't like being cramped. I don't have any trekking poles, so, my comment is a moot point😉 Nice video as always. Enjoy!

    Well iv been wanting the tan gram for a while now I feel it’s like an upgraded lanshan2 which I have and like I also have the 1P so long story short I went on Amazon today and saw the Tangram was on sale for $112 or $104 if ya got it on Amazon day so I had to pull the trigger on it. It doesn’t come with the ground sheet but whatever I will get that latter. Best video on this tent out there especially comparing it to the lanshan because really that’s what it’s competing against sorta so Thank You for doing this comparison

    Nice video again thanks. My only reservation over and above of the size and weight is that a 1500mm hh if the floor is the same as fly it will seep through if on wet ground. Pressure of kneeling/ laying inside may be enough to push water through. Lanshan seems a far higher hh rating of 8000mm for inner floor.

    I put em both in a dry bag so when the outer is damp in the morning it keeps the inner dry and like you said it packs way better

    I like both and use both a lot. If anything I find the lanshan easier to use and more reliable. I also wish I could get the writing off the One Tigris. Any ideas? Thanks for the review.

    Dan, what an honest review there, really liked being able to see the two tents together, and after your thoughtful and honest comments, I am going to buy the one tigris tent. Thanks for sharing this and giving your time to us, greets from tropically hot Wales 🙄 Dave G.

    I agree with you Dan. Price and quality of One Tigris difficult to beat. I just bought One Tigris Tipinova 1.2 kg and did initial review of it. Another strong point is I ordered it last week arrived following day. I think Lanshan takes a while to arrive from China

    Got the L2 tent. Lower the trekking poles to 115cm and the vestibule hugs the ground nicely.
    Love the idea to separate the inner from outer with the One T. 👍

      @CampLifeBushcraft  3 года назад

      yes, it makes a lot of sense to separate inners and outers, especially for Muti day trips with rain in the forecast.

    Hi Dan great honest comparison,, I would definitely go for the 1 tigris,looks sturdy and I recon you could sinch the outer fly rite down to the deck especially in high winds ,,the lanshan bit of a rip off,,I think their aiming for the mega ultralight tracking/hiking campers,,am I right in saying that you also have to seem seal the joints as well or is that the lanshan 1?? Anyway I’d rather have the 1 tigris with a few extra grams for piece of mind!!! Hope you and family are good👍👍👍

    These are basically the exact same tents. The inner on the lanShan two can be removed as well. I know a few that use just the outer. I do Not like the way the inner on the lanShan opens only on one side. I think the lanShan is actually more water resistant. I have the lanShan 2pro and absolutely love it. There is much more room on the inside than either of these. I never really tent without a bug net in Florida, so there’s no need for a separation. I have never had an issue with major wind with the lanShan but agree that it is nice to have the two extra tie out points. Both are good quality and at a good price point.

    The one tigress can you leave inner attached and pitch them together?

  • @justvin7214

    Good review of comparing these two similar tents. These tents are an option if you always carry walking poles, for those that don't there are as light and even lighter choices. Also I've seen youtubers struggle to get a decent pitch with them - so there is the faff factor to consider.

    Nice one that was really useful to me , I have a one tigris tangram ( hasn't had much use yet ) but was thinking of a lanshan for longer distance and hill walks . First impressions of tangram are good and I'll stick with that for a bit. Thanks take care.

    Looks like a good base camp type tent. Not sure I would take it up to a hilltop for a wildcamp with potential wind to catch and lift it up. I like the height though, much more comfortable to sit in the 'porch', cook and relax. Good review as always Mr CLB :)

    Great video Dan I would prefer the Tangram ultra tent it's got six secure lines it's right down to the ground you and your family take care.

    I very much liked the fact that you talked about the vestibule height from the ground and how well the tents hold up to the wind. The weight is unfortunately too heavy for me. I'm at 2.3ibs with my Six Moons Lunar Solo (with 8 MSR Groundhogs, 1 MSR tent pole, and guide lines) and I'm looking for something better in winter and high wind. Without spending 650$ on a Zpack. Looking for something with a better design without being heavier. Any thoughts?

      Hi, what did you settle on?

    • @goodtimes1046
      @goodtimes1046 2 года назад +1

      @@Tanko3691X-Mid 1. The trekking pole weight acts as a net positive because you get less fatigued and the carry weight of the tent is less than 2 pounds. I'm tired now and have something that works. This will be my last 1 person for a while.

    The One Tigris looks a good tent but at 1.8kg is only 300g lighter than the Cloud Peak 2 and that's a full 2 man tent with poles, for less extra in weight than a can of coke. Walking pole tents are a good idea on paper but with modern Ali poles you're not really saving much weight at all. Who picks up a couple of shock corded Ali tent poles and thinks 'ooo, I could do without having to carry all that extra weight'?
    Unless they're 400grams there's little to be gained.

    In the forum and Facebook group, I found that the reputation of onetigris was not very good, especially lonewolf902, the influencer, broke up the cooperation with onetigris.

    The OneTigris looks the better tent and is actually cheaper at the moment. The only downside is that the Tangram is apparently 1.8kg which makes it that bit heavier but I am interested to know if you had any seam sealing to do as I think that's one aspect that puts me off the Lanshan tents.

    • @CampLifeBushcraft
      @CampLifeBushcraft  3 года назад +1

      No seam sealing needed on the tangram it’s good to go out the bag.
      And yes it’s heavier but it feels much more of a stable tent.
      I prefer it over the Lanshan myself.
