I'm thinking your logic with no key meta assumes that the one 15 cent item you do get to choose is guaranteed to be amazing like polyphemus or something, when it's more likely to be something basic but necessary like a small two-stat up. That knowledge balances the scales far more towards 5 random items I think.

Secret rooms on greed mode will always be super secret rooms. They never border 2 rooms, and can be found inside the curse room, as well as the last room you enter to get to a new floor.
Item idea- Isaacs hairball ( It's really heavy/ throw it!) Range (-10 range Down ?) and tears down ( 10 tears down/10 tear delay up?). Damage up.(+5 damage up?) Tears replaced with a charge attack that throws a hairball that will protrude a rock wave outward ( infinite bombs basically ) Knock back effect on the hairball .
21:48 Optimal play was to store Book of Belial in the item room and move Anarchist's Cookbook to the shop, then reroll with D6 to get 2 item rerolls and a shop reroll.
It is actually better to play 2 demon judgements once each. They have a 1 in 4 chance of paying out each play of them, but if they pay out, they can pay out with anything, not just the item. The item is as far as I know, a small probability likely around 20%. When they pay out, you can only play them once. That means that if one of them pays out with something you don't actively want to gather like a penny or something, you can play both of them and guarantee two plays, vs a possible 1 play. Euthenasia is the item that caused the Tammy's head shots to shoot like that. It causes you to randomly shoot a needle that deals 3x your damage and if it kills an enemy, like a Greed Head, it shoots out 10 needles like itself. In other words, Homing Polyphemus tears would mean you shoot 1 shot per room and win against anything that's not supertanky or invincible.
Eye of Belial is the best pierce shot item in the game. After it pierces an enemy, the next target getting hit will take double the damage. Rubber Cement works wonders with it, but Brimstone, Mom's Knife, and Ipecac override it. Dr. Fetus gets the piercing but not double damage. Ludo doesn't get the double damage input when hitting a target multiple times, but the size does increase.
Good run, my dude. I know it doesn't matter since you didn't stick with it, but Blood of the Martyr gives Book of Belial a 50% damage increase. It's pretty good.

Beating Greedier with the Keeper actually isn't too bad. Make sure you have a stockpile of cash when you get into the fight, and every time you get hit and drop coins you can heal.

At most it will save you 5 cents over the course of the run compared to just buying keys and that it's actually worse to pick it up any later than the caves unless it's on sale. Also Nl missed out on the book of belial blood of the martyr 1.5x multiplier
If it makes you feel any better NL, giving good commentary while also trying to dodge enemies and make good decisions on item pick ups that may cascade to something amazing in the future, takes a lot of brain power. Since the human brain is a mono-processor you're switching between those task rapidly

For the last flippin' time: no key meta was only "working" because you still got keys in alternative means. Those item rooms carried you, on average, WAY more than the items you bought in terms of bang for the buck.
