Too cute to judge her xd
Aria was my favorite, but they did nothing with her. It pissed me off. In my opinion, the show got ruined in season 3. Mona never should have been revealed as A. Aria should have been A’s target in season 3 starting with Ezra being exposed and Ezra being arrested and Jaria should’ve been explored. They also never should have had the victim blaming. It was so out of character, the writers definitely ruined Aria’s character. She started out mature, insightful, compassionate, tough, kind, caring, and laid back. She also had a tenderness to her, shown in scenes like when she found Hanna eating pig cup cakes and being made fun of and she wipes Hanna’s face off and told the boys off. She was a good character in the first two seasons because she had quiet strength. She was graceful, (like when Ezra’s mom insulted her family and she said, “excuse me” and walked away) resilient, classy, and level headed. Strong, but not in the obvious ways of Spencer. Then in later seasons they made her more selfish, weak, fragile, explosive, entitled, sneaky, etc. The opposite of the mature, caring, and laid back girl she originally was. At least I think they brought back her core personality a little in season 5 and 6, but they ruined her in season 3, 4, and 5. Then had her victim blame Hanna. She deserved better storylines. She had the most enemies of the Liars, but the writers never utilized that. We could have explored her past in Iceland, met an ex, or a girl with a vendetta against her. She also could have been the one held captive by A instead of Hanna, but the writers only gave her boring storylines and had her stay with Ezra when she had other options that would have been more interesting love interests. Lucy as an actress deserved better and so did the character who started the show in season one. I hate how the writers ruined her. Even worse than how they ruined Emily.
