I feel that he is not a professor in the field of Islam and I think all his words are lies. How could his teachings be accepted and considered correct if he himself was not a Muslim. Hope you guys think.

There's no central authority in Islam unlike in Christianity for instance "The Pope"
If what ever the Prof. teaches, goes inline with the Quran, it will be accepted brother.

There are many who studied Islam from an academic perspective and just never made the leap of faith. A lot of people converted to Islam after watching the Malcolm X movie but Denzel Washington and Spike Lee weren't Muslim. Din make anything less "legit". Sometimes it's from being used what they have been brought up with and sometimes it's just cos they do not want to sacrifice the duniya and suffer the social stigma. Anyway, this guy's research and understanding is mainly political and not actually religious.

So your feelings is more evidential than his actual life his achievements his sacrifices his experiences. The man teaches at a university and you "feel" he's a liar. This has got nothing to do with but everything to do with you and your bias
