Convinced my wife to go for a walk yesterday in the pouring rain. We brought a tarp and the stove and had a Normark coffee ritual in the forest. We both enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for the inspiration, Erik.
I went for a 10mi hike today during the tail of a passing Hurricane Delta. At the peak of the mountain I was immensely wishing I had brought a tarp, the stove kit, and some coffee. Erik, and those who follow, really know a relaxing time!
I learned an new knot , the Siberian hitch. Watching this video it almost put me to sleep with the sound of the rain on the tarp , extremely relaxing. Two sounds I like to hear in the woods, the rain on the Hammocks rain fly and a Owl or Owls calling back and forth during the night. If it's a good rain I like to capture the rain ( free water ) from the rain fly for my coffee or tea water.
I'm watching this a second time. What a classic episode! - so much bushcraft knowledge here: how to set up a tarp, process fatwood, make cowboy coffee... Masterful.
The colors are amazing. The sound of the rain is an amazing sleep inducer too. Did the same thing to me last time I camped in the rain too. Spent the whole day dozing in my tent when I meant to read and write in my trip diary. Only down side is, the sound makes me have to pee!
Erik, I have watched you for a couple of years and your skills have truly increased. 9:58 to 10:30 are especially artful. The nature around you is an extremely artistic subject, but you present it so that it further enhances what is already beautiful without allowing your technique to overcrowd the subject. Bravo! Thank you.
I honestly didn’t think you’d get such a good fire going in that rain. I might give it a go myself. I shared this with my older brother who is stuck in quarantine on a sailboat in Malaysia. I think it will help take his mind off the isolation. Thanks for another great video.....
Erik, thank you for your inspiration and your wonderful work! It’s a pleasure to watch the nature and to hear the silence! Have a great weekend and stay safe! Alli
Your videos are so real .. life like ... icould smell the forest scents just watching you sit there in the rain and weave your nagic. Awesome content on every adventure thanks Erik. Bushyboy Oz.
My new favorite channel. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Good health to you and yours this year and those to come. Cheers from Phoenix, AZ. U.S.A.
I felt like I was under your tarp watching you make the fire....and felt guilty that I was dry! Great video, love the videography! Take care, stay in the woods, it’s a crazy world now! ❤️ 🇨🇦
I feel like this video in particular really accentuates, for me, how much watching them is actually like being there. I think it was the attention paid to the detail of the water on the tarp and it falling down the guy ropes.
That was a beautiful spot. Thanks for the time and effort it takes to make videos like this. Fall leaves are done here in Vermont. Take care and stay safe, Al
Hi Erik Normark 👐 You give me inspiration when I make my nature and photography videos on RUclips 😀your videos are super nice 😃 😄keep up the good work👍
I love rainy day adventures an yours are at the top.It looks like we both still have green woodlands in Oct but fearing Mr frost is on its way. Thanks for sharing
Beautifully done, thanks. I like the way you made a point of using an existing fire ring, and the fat wood worked great even in the rain. The Firebox stove might have been easier this time out!
I love your chanel! The same as here in Pennsylvania. I live here in the northeast of Pennsylvania and the temperture is delicious....around 40-50 grades and the forest is like shown in your video. Thanks and Jesus bless you ever!
at 4:40 you are 'really' sitting under the tarp and watch a good man making fire... i gotta rewatch all Erik's video with my Sony headphones, sound is outstanding... thank you man
Thanks for your forest trip vid, Erik. The croak/rasping of the Eurasian Jay/Nötskrika - "Eichelhäher" in german, can be heard also in our forest region here. It likes also feeding on oaktrees acorns- alot of acorns this season falling down now (in gently winds) like big hailstone drops. Good skill in making fire in rainy wet conditions, just ignite with a match , no fine tindermat. first needed, owes to center-dried, fine, resin soaked shavings. Thanks for showing some knots also. Thumbs up! Thank you also for showing and explaining your gear and clothing stuff in earlier vids. Cheers to Erik and all coffee enjoyer in the community, ( i prefer a nice fresh spruce needles tea combined with a greentea-bag maybe added a herbal-sweet or honey and fresh lemonjuice.) ;-) Best wishes from Switzerland.
Returning to this small gem a night when sleep is hard to find. Your films makes me happy and calm. Thank you 🙏
El dedo de ok en el café....👍👍👍👍☕☕☕☕☕☕....saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷👏👏👏👏👏

what a coincidence, i also went outside to in the rain yesterday, now i'm sitting in bed with fever 😀
enjoy the moment ,
The sound of the rain realy makes this one an absolute joy to watch.
Was it really raining?
It does not realy matter to me. To me, it‘s a little story and the story teller does have a bit of room to be creative.
Lovely raining drops
I don't think that it is possible to capture the atmosphere better than you do , great video 👍 greetings from Norway 👌
that s because, there is no music, no talk(and if there is, really calm).
Sweden I think

Wow that you got a fire started in pouring rain👏👏👏👏👏

Ooh the sound if the rain...thereks something about the sound of the rain, very relaxing👌🏼
I love the simplicity, peace and solitude of your videos. And I love the rain - especially that sound on the tarp. Thank you .
Thank you for sharing the call of your native birds, for simple things like how to tie a knot, for the sound of rain.
Thumbs up.
The pitter patter of the rain makes this atmosphere Even more enchanting
Was relaxing on sofa on lazy sunday morning and YT notification came out. After watching this now I m heading towards nearby hill n jungle.
Wow, how incredibly peaceful. It must be such a blessing to be there. Thanks for sharing Erik.
One of my favorite things is being in the forest while it’s raining. Thanks for the great video!
I'm watching this a second time. What a classic episode! - so much bushcraft knowledge here: how to set up a tarp, process fatwood, make cowboy coffee... Masterful.
Very therapeutic! Love the sound of the raindrops and the lush green scenes of early fall boreal forest warmed by glow of campfire .
The sound of nature are peaceful
Sublime. So relaxing. Something about the sound of rain on the roof of a camping shelter.
I love nature too
The colors are amazing. The sound of the rain is an amazing sleep inducer too. Did the same thing to me last time I camped in the rain too. Spent the whole day dozing in my tent when I meant to read and write in my trip diary. Only down side is, the sound makes me have to pee!
The sound of rain in the forest. Just perfect. Thanks, Erik. ☕👍🙂

John Gurskey Having a good fire like that in the rain isn’t hard if you have the knowledge and the right tools. Erik definitely has both.
Good fatwood (tar wood) makes it quite easy! It was only a light rain here though, in heavy rain it would be more difficult. Thanks John!
Loving the little things. Each drop of rain and blade of grass has a story. 💚🌱 Thank you for letting us be apart of it.
Simply the best quality of videos that are out on RUclips. Impeccable audio, stunning visuals, breathtaking atmosphere. Thank you!
J'adore ces films d'action nordiques! Merci Erik!

The sound of the pouring rain is so relaxing. Great video.👌❤ You're my inspiration when it comes to solo camping and hiking.❤
I'm worried it's addiction: the buzz from seeing that there's a new Erik film to watch- and listen to. The rain on that tarp! Magic.
