Loved Sevendust for years now. Seen them multiple times including just couple nights ago, got the meet and greet and sound check access. Man they will blow your face off every time (During the sound check there was like 20 of us and even Clint had to ask for the kick drum to be turned down cause it was so heavy lol) and just nice guys too.
This song really doesn't fit in their sets well and I can see it getting scratched off the setlist very soon. Only playing it because this song somehow turned out to be the most popular single based on the plays and views it's getting. Going to be like songs like Not Today and Death Dance. They'll play it for a month because it's a single and then never play it again because they didn't get enough crowd reaction from it. So if you want to see them play this song live, I recommend going soon because it's not going to stay on the setlist very long. Hope they play the title track at some point. John said they plan to, that breakdown would be sick live and could potentially become a staple in their set. He also said they want to play I Might Let The Devil Win but I feel like that's more a long shot. That song would definitely not fit their typical setlist. They'd have to open with it, have LJ go out there solo to start and then have the full band come out for the final chorus and lead into Face To Face or something. That would be kinda cool to have that slow build to start the show.
@@Salvation-Damnation I strongly disagree. Everything and Superficial Drug are the two worst songs on the record and two of the weakest tracks they've ever put out tbh. Not that they're bad songs necessarily because they aren't but the rest of the record is just so much better in comparison and especially for their live sets.
@@trainofthough0242 Superficial drug is garbage, so is Sick Mouth and IMLTDW. The album is mid, my friend. Everything, Leaving Hell Behind and Won't Stop The Bleeding are the bests. Fence and Love and Hate are fine. The remaining not mentioned are mediocre and a few of them have a tendency towards bad/trash.
@@Salvation-Damnation lol well, we have very different opinions then. Sick Mouth is one of the strongest songs on the record next to the title track and Messenger. The only truly weak songs on the album I find are Everything and Superficial Drug. Just odd how you find Superficial Drug terrible while saying Everything is the best song when Superficial Drug structurally and musically is the most similar song on the album to Everything. Overall, the record blows away the last album Blood & Stone. Not as consistent as AISIW though and definitely not 'mid'. It's a strong 7/10 album IMO.
@@trainofthough0242 Blood from a stone was pretty bad man, only a few songs are alright. What kills superficial drug is it's ugly chorus. It sends the song right down the toilette. Sick mouth too. Lame ugly ass chorus. Truth killer only the chorus sounds alright, the rest go from forgettable to bad. Messenger is boring, Holy Water had more potential but the ugly chorus kinda leaves it feeling kind of mid. Like a 5.5/10. No Revolution, Love and Hate and Fence are kinda alright. Not as good as the top 3 but not as bad as the rest and definitely not as ugly and disgusting as the bottom 3.
my absolute favorite band of all time! they never disappoint
Thank you for uploading this! I am OBSESSED with their new album. Every song is fantastic.
Sevendust rules! The new album is unbelievable
One of their most satisfying songs.

Maybe but Everything is that album's best song.
