Workaholics did a "speed" bit in one episode, and the bus driver did a cameo. It was pretty funny.
The Speed theme is great, but it is almost the same as the Bad Boys theme, which makes sense considering it is the same guy, but I actually like the Bad Boys theme even more and was so happy they brought it back for Bad Boys 3.
Also this movie contained Billy Idols last released song for YEARS
Jeff Daniels is in a movie called Disaster in Time as well, not a great movie but entertaining think Kirsten Dunst is in it as his daughter. It is about a time traveling service that brings tourists back in time to witness disasters and the aftermath
At the beginning Dennis hopper must have used the security guy as a decoy body to make them think he was dead
I’ve thought the same thing about the theme for years. Total MGS vibes.

Yeah, even if shooting the tires flattened them and got the bus to stop, it would've sped up and crashed as a result first.

Speed has a very similar theme song to Bad Boys! No wonder
and he was watching the whole time even before they armed the bomb. so if he saw them stop and start to unload the bus. he'd kill him all anyway
