Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1 & 2, Dragon Ball FighterZ and the handful of other titles that don’t actually have beam clashes shouldn’t have made an appearance, because they’re not clashes, they literally just cancel each other out or one overpower’s the other, and that just doesn’t count IMO. Otherwise, great showcase~!
@@dapp_attack5974 SUPER BUTODEN SERIES 1-3 SNES YES. SHIN BUTODEN. FOR SEGA SATURN. 1996. DRAGON BALL Z 2 SUPER BATTLE. ARCADE DRAGON BALL Z SEGA GENISIS SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION YES.
Remember how back in the day, anime-based games were so rare and unknown that we ALL, at some point, convinced ourselves that Final Bout was a good game?
The problem with the sparking zero beam struggle is that you’re too focused on pressing the button at the right moment taking your eyes off the beam struggle animation which I would think is the best part about getting a beam struggle. Not sure why they went with that option instead of the rotating of the analog stick.
Well you forgot Earths Special Forces, which has the best beam struggle mechanics of any dragon ball game, even sparking Zero as you can do multi beam struggles with whole teams.
Raging blast 2 did it the best. Only saying because of the fact that if you tie in a beam struggle or high speed struggle, you both cancel each other out. Beams explode in the middle and melee blows meet at the same time returning both players to neutral with no damage. Its the one feature sparking zero is😮 missing.
So the older games could beam struggle diagonally but Sparking Zero automatically aligns players horizontally? Why do the older games still manage to do it better?

You have to go back to Spark Zero if you play Classic vs Standar controls things change

just so people know beam struggles in sparking zero look way better in the final version
I saw it look SO much better
Beam Struggle sounds off to me, it should be called Beam Clash, like Jutsu Clash in Naruto Games
@@ronalddave3200 I also say beam clash usually but I wanted to use the term most people are familiar with
I always thought it was beam struggle because it was a struggle to rotate the analog stick vs your friend
They look exactly the same except for the UI
That saibaman is cracked holy shit

Idc what anyone says DBZ Budokai 3 had the best energy blast struggles and also some of the best looking energy blast attacks of all the games
Completely agree!
Facts!
I 100% agree with you. My fave DBZ Game By Far
Meh my joystick on my controllers disagree with you.
the legendary joystick destroying move😂
Doing those beam struggles used to have skin missing at the base of my fingers
@Raddahgon man..that's intense
Your mistake was not using the base of your palm to rotate the sticks
Tbh, never broke a single joystick with BT3, now my Nintendo Switch got joystick drift from playing mario
3:23 WTF is that sound 😂
Ikr wtf Lmao
That thumbnail tho 😭….. they did fix it tho so thats kinda outdated

I just realized I'm a GT Fanboy because GT: Final Bout was one of my first PSX games and I played the hell out of it.
Burst Limit was amazing, one beam slowly going further and further until reaching the opponent...
even tho ultimate tenkaichi was so ass they had the best beam struggles ive ever seen in any dragon ball game tbh
I definitely agree with that
The way the beam super attacks looked were amazing I love how powerful and bigger scale they looked
So real
Sparking Zero looks PERFECT!
Chaitzou>full power frieza namek saga
Love the Super Broly movie influence in sparking zero, how the dimensions will shatter when strong enough characters clash.
If beam clashes looked like that in 1997 then we’d be in flying cars by now 😂

He forgot about the SNES trilogy, Sega Genesis and NDS DBZ games as well... or didn't bother.
