I think I’m going to always have a special place in my heart for VS Bombshell. I’m so thankful there isn’t a huge difference between the old and new Alien formulation.
I also prefer sweet diamond to Oud bouquet, I find that it is easier to wear and more versatile

Thank you!!! Kayali SD is my favorite Kayali it is in the level of Montale Intense Cafe/ Intense Roses Musk or better! Super niche fragrance that is so beautifully blended. It’s very beautiful.
For bedtime perfumes, I have to wear something that I know like the back of my hand-anything too new and it will keep me awake, trying to actively smell it! Funny, seeing that Bombshell bottle here, the first thought that came to my mind was that it looked a little like a Kayali bottle! I love Bright Crystal, so maybe I should give this one a try (or Dylan Blue).

Sweet Diamond is absolutely beautiful. I feel like it smells kinda syrupy in the opening which is my favorite part of the fragrance. This fragrance doesn’t remind of Shagouf Oud (which I can’t wear) in the slightest
I’m so glad you did a comparison between the two of alien I was wondering and so frustrated about the reformulation
Sweet Diamond was my first Kayali fragrance and it was a love at first sniff! I've since purchased Deja Vu White Flower and Vanilla which I also really enjoy:)
I absolutely agree with you that Sweet Diamond is so much better than Oud Bouquet and Shaghaf Oud ( way to strong ). I can tolerate Oud bouquet but just one spray. I just purchased RETBA by Memo Paris and it’s a super soft, smooth raspberry oudy scent. I absolutely love it. Raspberry, saffron, Oud, vanilla, rose and more but so smooth and soft.
Ooh a haul! I spent today cleaning my home top to bottom and now that I am sitting down to relax this is the perfect video! 🙌🏼🥰

I had a bottle of the old Alien years ago, and, while I liked it, I never wore it because it was too strong, and dense for me. The new formulation actually works out better for me.
Exactly! I had a bottle of the old Alien few years ago and I can’t handled it! But the new one is a gem! Love love love 💕
@@shahrinshahi8119 glad to know im not the only one that feels this way. Im guessing they reformulated it to make it easier to wear. That does suck for people who loved the original formulation though.

I'm so happy to hear Sweet Diamond is not too similar to Oud Bouquet! I was on the fence about even trying it just because of the same reasons you gave. I will need to find a sample now🥰🥰🥰. Great video as always!

I know you don’t really like Mugler’s Angel, but I’ve loved it for years, however the last bottle gifted to me last Christmas seemed really dulled down to me. I used to get compliments every time I wore it. Literally strangers chased me down the street, followed me onto trains & almost risked their lives only to ask me what perfume I was wearing. Lol…But this last bottle of Angel was disappointing to me. I don’t think It was a fake as it was bought from a high end department store. Anyway with this last bottle,I couldn’t really smell myself & I’ve just finished it & this time I got not one compliment from this last bottle. What happened?? I’m stumped. Can you please help me get to the bottom of what’s happened to Angel. I’m devastated. Thanks Ilythia 🐱💜🇦🇺 adore your channel, keep on keeping on.😻
Ooh great haul Ilythia! I’ve been curious about most of these perfumes 😆 Alien not so much since I already know what it smells like, but I was excited for you when i saw on your IG that you found that old formulation version 👍🏼
Lovely is so nice. My dad always wore Stetson or old spice and even though those are cheapies, they smelled so nice on him. Lovely on me dries down to a feminine spice that reminds me of those fragrances and it makes me think about him!
Thank you for a GREAT video. I actually went to my Walgreens and they had 4 boxes of Alien but only the first one had “Thierry Mugler” the others were the new one with just “Mugler”. I never would have known to grab the first!!!!! SO happy to add to my collection! Thank you!
I love VS bombshell ! I use it when I work out or when I go to my job because it's very physical . I actually noticed when I'm sweating and it's really hott it almost smells completely different on my skin🤣 idk it's hard to explain. It smells awesome !
I'm so happy you don't detect a difference between the Aliens.
There's so much talk about reformulations as if the worst thing ever, no exceptions, and as someone who recently got into perfume, there's always a fear I missed out on the "good days" lol.
My newer Mugler Alien lasts a long time and most perfumes don't so it's a thumbs up for me.
yes, there's not a big difference at least to my nose. There is a subtle difference but I'm not absolutely heartbroken about it. I actually prefer the new one because it's a bit lighter and fresher and I feel I can wear it for summer daytime :)
Tease is actually my safe everyday wear, I love it, I've worn it since 2015. I know I smell good and I layer it with sweet like candy every now and then
I layer it with ari and I get compliments every time I do :)
I am now tempted to buy the 60mL pre-reformulation Alien in our local fragrance store. However, the 30mL are already reformulated so I should just buy the 60mL. 💕

I used to work at Victoria’s Secret. When I went through the fragrance training I had to smell all of them. I hate them all lol. None of them have the kind of staying power I like and most of them are just very meh and not special at all. They feel like slightly upgraded body sprays. I love Alien too!! I cannot wait to try the sweet diamond pink pepper!! If you love it I think I’ll love it because we have similar tastes. Rose is not typically my thing but this sounds very interesting.

I love you and your channel..I own about $3000.00 in fragrances designer, niche and celebrity..One thing I can say is I get more compliments on VS bombshell, Armani Code, Coco Mademoiselle and D&G light blue intense more than any other fragrances in my collection..They never fail..Men love these especially

Mariah Carey dreams is amazing!!!! If you can get your hands on that! The bottle is also very cute. I hate the M it always smells like its turned to me even if cosmetic calculator shows its a new bottle.
I like dreams as well! I’m not a fan of any of her bottles but her perfumes always surprise me.
I really love Mariah Carey M! I was just telling my friend I love it lol! It’s weird because I feel like the dry down is the opening and the opening is the dry down lol.
hahaha I can totally see why you would say that. I actually prefer the opening to the dry down in this one.

I don’t like Light Blue, Bright Crystal or Aqua De Gio. The mixture of citrus, sweet and fresh comes off sour sometimes. Great review 😉
I used to wear Mariah Carey M many years ago and I loved it.

That is the older formulation of Mariah Carey M which is hard to get now. The newer ones are a lighter shade of liquid and heard they aren’t good. I love wearing this fragrance to bed and find it so cozy and comforting and yet somehow glamorous. I originally had it about 10 years ago and wasn’t impressed at the time as I couldn’t see myself wearing it outside so got rid of it. Then last year I started craving to smell it again and had to repurchase along with backup bottles. It’s a favourite celeb fragrance for me, but only for the home. 😍
wow apparently my grocery store is a gold mine - truly!!! This perfume lasted like 2 weeks on my sweater.
I have both old and new formulation of Alien and agree with you. Newer one is more lighter and has a shampoo or soapy vibe while the older one is deeper and does last longer. This is likely due to the type or quantity of the Amber used in it and this is why the older formulation is more desirable. It makes it just a bit more sexier. The reformulation didn’t happen wen L’Oréal bought Mugler. It actually happened before this time, either in 2015 or 2016 by Mugler, who was owned by Clarins the whole time prior the L’Oreal acquisition in 2019.

The old Mariah 'M' was soooooo much better! It was so creamy and deep. I purchased a new bottle last year and it was a shadow of its former self 😭 I ended up giving it away.
Looks like you have an old formulation of Mariah Carey's perfume Butterfly which is the best version of this perfume. I ordered it the other day after hearing so much good things about it, I absolutely love it but the juice is much clearer and I feel I probably got the new formulation.

Sweet diamond pink pepper reminds me of Angel Muse EDP.... Idk why 😂 but i think its also because of that sweetness you were picking up on. Im still not sure how i feel about this scent.... It smells to me like someone grabbed Angel muse and sprayed it on a bowl of potpourri 🤔 is it only me?

Yes it does smell similar to that one, but I still like my Gold Couture a lot more for some reason :)

I’ve been on the fence about M by Mariah Carey. Reviews are always so polarized, some people love it and some people hate it. I guess I’ll have to check it out anyways 🤷🏻♀️ 😂. I also love Versace Dylan Blue, my first “grown up” perfume in my new hobby/obsession with fragrance ☺️
I love M by Mariah so so much. I get why it's polarizing. It is mature smelling but the marshmallow & incense & floral notes are addicting. It's.my favorite bedtime/cozy fragrance.
Definitely try and get the older formula which has the darker juice like the one in this video. The newer formulation is much lighter almost clear juice.
I think I will definitely try it out, it’s so inexpensive it’s worth a try. I’ll keep my eye out for the older formula too, thank you!
Hi Ilythia, I noticed some of Alien 30ml bottles have the gold decoration down the bottom of the bottle, but some not, do you have any idea why?
Some bottles are re-fillable and some aren’t (so hence why some have a removable bottom which looks different). I get the re-fillable ones, it’s cheaper to find a place to refill them than buying whole new bottles!

How do you know is an old or new version?? I use the alien perfume for my purses, i love the smell when I open my purses and they smell like grape 🍇 bubblegum
I think the old boxes said Thierry Mugler. The new reform images ones say only Mugler.

Pink Diamond smells great but is very faint on my skin with minimum projection and silage. Definitely not worth the retail price and I bought full bottle! 😩

I just tried Bombshell today in store and the first thought that came to my mind was Versace Bright Crystal lol my husband really liked it but I didn’t 🙁 I think it’s meh 🤷🏻♀️ not my style.
Two that I tried on my skin and loved at first sniff were; D&G Dolce Shine and Montblanc Signature OMG they are both so perfect for spring and summer 🤍💜🌸 since you like vanilla I think Montblanc could be one that you’d like, it’s very basic “skin scent” but very soft and feminine, Nordstrom sells it for $110 and found it at fragrance net for $43 😱 ordered immediately, anyways, love LOVE your videos!!!

I didn't like Bombshell at all, it is way too soapy for me, like straight up hand soap. And it also doesn't smell sexy to me. I guess I expected too much based on the good reviews.
