I went with something super similar, but I took the “blooms twice”part literally. I have the mushroom crown and kindred of rot’s exultation for dmg buff from poison Grave bird feathers armor and the claw talisman for jump attacks The divine bird warrior greaves and shattered stone talisman for kick attacks Shard of Alexander for ash of war damage Then in my left hand I have either Dane’s footwork with the dryleaf whirlwind ash and a poison infusion, or the poison hand depending on my mood or what I’m fighting. In my right hand I have an antspur rapier with the poison flower blooms twice ash and a bleed infusion. I’ll start beating ass with Dane’s footwork or poison hand, then once the target is poisoned I’ll just put away the dual wielding and let my character hold the rapier in the right hand, hit them with poison flower blooms twice, then stab a few times with the rapier so I proc bleed and rot, then hit them with poison flower blooms twice another time. Usually things are dead at this point after so much chunking of their hp.
I'm enjoying swapping between two-handing blood Venomous Fangs or poison Dane's Footwork with the Poisoned Hand in the offhand for another damage boost when the poison procs. It's insanely fun. So glad poison is viable now.
I'm doing a NG+ playthrough rn with this AoW on the Danes footwork. They both count as kicks, so can be buffed by divine bird legs and shattered stone talisman.
Just get golden vow ash of war & put it on a dagger then u don't need faith for those going for 150-200. Also the chest armor that gives jump attk dmg works with poison flower blooms twice. Also poison hang & venomous blades are really fun together
I just did several tests using the Raptor's Black Feathers Chest Piece, Gravebird's Blackquill Armor Chest Piece and the Claw Talisman and saw 0 Damage Increases. Not sure what you had recorded in your testing of these but my conclusion after testing all 3 is 0 extra damage. Tested and retested on the same mob for Accuracy.
@@oxfordking i did some further testing myself at the secluded cell grace on the troll. Seems you're right no dmg increase from the chest pieces but funny enough the shattered stone talisman does give a dmg increase

@@oxfordking the divine bird greaves also increase the damage for kicks (poison flower blooms twice), I also found if you can proc bleed/poison fairly close to each other, use shattered rock talisman, kindred of rot talisman, lord of bloods exultation, shard of alexander, and the white mask for a 20% damage proc instead of 10% on the mushroom. Requires you to keep up bleed though Edit: you can also add the poison hand in your offhand if you use something like the backhand blades or anything that lets you hold 2. Adds 7.5% damage when poison or rot procs
I did something similar but with the Beast Claws cause they also do inate bleed! Super fun build, can't believe I didn't think about the curved swords they were my main weapon 😅
Ah yes, let me tank a hit with half my HP. What is that 60 Vigor? Mine's only 20, but I'm grinding in Farum to get it up to snuff. Sheesh, great damage but holy hell stick and move.
that AOW counts as a kicking move, divine bird warrior greaves increase kick attacks they really help with dmg for poison flower blooms twice, there also a dlc talisman that can be used to increase kicking like attacks just in case you did not know, it makes the AOW do a lot more dmg especially if you got the buff from bleed,rot, or poision in the vicinity.
Alternatively, try out the Godskin Peeler infused with Poison. That way, you can 1) keep Poison Hand in the offhand for extra attack power buffs and 2) Godskin Peeler running heavy attack hits like 4 times, and often inflicts poison instantly. Fantastic weapon for this build.
I have that already; had those for 2+ years - only reason you see prawns is due to inventory management. I also swap between 10 different Save Files. Some have it some don't.
this ash of war does not apply weapon statuses. So if you spam AOW it will only apply rot. YOu need to manually apply posion/rot beforehand. Chances are the enemy will die before you will get a chance to proc the rotten kick on them :D
Yes, I'm keenly aware of that. I never once mentioned the AoW applies status effects other than Rot. This video showcased the Curved Scavenger Blades that apply poison and bleed that synergizes well with the AoW. I made that crystal clear 🧐

Yeah I didn't want to do what the Meta was, seeing all the youtubers with the same video and thumbnail made me want to try something else.
Could be fun to run this with dryleaf arts, then you could do a whole way of the poison fist thing. They’re also really good at proccing status

Man, put this on venomous fang, 104 poison buildup, no bleed but it does massive damage

Alternatively, try out the Godskin Peeler infused with Poison. That way, you can 1) keep Poison Hand in the offhand for extra attack power buffs and 2) Godskin Peeler running heavy attack hits like 4 times, and often inflicts poison instantly. Fantastic weapon for this build.
Good Call on the Godskin Peeler - I'm currently in a lul on what build to do next as I really don't like following the Meta Sheep on YT at all.
from what i have heard the AOW is supposed to have hyper armor, but i haven't done any real testing to see if that is true or not.

What about serpent bow with serpent arrow poison which is stronger and then use this?
Not sure on bows but I would definitely think the serpent bow would be really good with this. Try a combo of poison and bleed arrows. Could be fun

How is the proc damage calculated? Does it instantly proc a % of the poison DOT or is it a fixed amount independent to the DOT?
Fixed amount - I tested this a lot - I thought it would proc more if the Poison was left there longer but it seemed it didn't matter.

Depends on which NG you're in - I'm in NG+13 but if I were to be in NG+1 I would have 60VGR for sure. Subjective - all of it is.
Vigor is the most important stat even on my pvp builds that are lower rl max vigor out first , most of your damage comes from wepon upgrades

I didn't test - I was going after DLC Ash of Wars only.
