Some people just don't like the fact that in Sotn, Riitcher's abilities are as equal as Maria's and Alucard, while in Rondo and X, you just feel stuck with a character that can barely move well.
@Filipino Klasiko yo m8 heard of the free open emu all in one emulator? recently the playstation 1 rom was added to openemu so now you can play the game directly, or the sega saten version which has lower graphics but more replay value with added unlockable characters

What’s funny is that people don’t like it cause they think it’s the controls fault. They just say it’s crappy because they keep dying and it has limited controls. I frickin love this game, both rondo of blood and symphony of the night. Rondo of blood has so much replay ability like figuring out what alternate routes to take and what endings you can take. Unlike Symphony of the night which is just grind grind grind until you can get passed a certain area.
+JAZZ HANDS You are welcome. SOTN is one of my favorite games. I was using an emulator, as I have neither a PSP, any games to play on one, or a way of recording footage from it.
I guess Konami wanted to have 2-3 games in one, but decided to make the original Rondo of Blood (but with english voice acting as opposed to the japanese voices) and SotN unlockable (albeit with Maria being playable in New Game Plus as well as being a mandatory boss when playing as Alucard.)
I see that they changed the voices and dialogue on this version. I have the original SOFN on PS1, and it is different with those things. I think I still like the original better. I mainly got a PSP and Dracula X Chronicles to unlock the original Rondo Of Blood.

@@xm_heecka.laddder.job_mx5962 the original voice acting wasn't really good, do you expect me to take the game seriously when the succubus moans when alucard traps her in his nightmare? The remake did a very good job with the voice acting.
I made it one day because I was bored and felt like making a video to help people unlock Symphony of the Night in Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles. I intend to record a full playthrough of SOTN (as in the PlayStation 1 port, which I am in the middle of, as well as the Sega Saturn port and the PSP port.) Content-wise, I like the Saturn version the most, though I really enjoy the PSP voice acting the most.
SoTN is not bad on this actually. Reworked script with narration and voice acting. It plays better than the Sega Saturn version but still suffers slow downs at certain points. Like the Saturn version tho the slowdowns make no sense. It won't slow down with numerous enemies fighting but do it spontaneously.
Wow so there are diffent ways Togo im on level four and I went a completely different way and fought different bosses the game is hard but it's beautiful love the game so far
I honestly like the PSP dialog a little more. At least in the PSP and Saturn versions you have the option of playing as Maria. She is ridiculous in the Saturn version, which I just recorded and uploaded a couple days ago if you want to see it. That particular video of the game is my fastest time ever beating the game.
I don't know the psx version has that old English accent thing while on psp sounded like a dub anime thing, anyways does the saturn version has english?
the Saturn version is Japan only, but you can play it on any region using an Action Replay 4M Plus. I use one with a U.S. region Sega Saturn to play the Saturn port of SotN. My main reason for liking the PSP dialog more is because I tend to be rather serious (or more specifically, direct and to the point), and the PSP dialog sound rather more serious to me than the PS1 version. I memorized the PS1 version well enough to play the Saturn version just going off of the menu icons for the weapons (specifically, the Crissaegrim, though it shares the same menu icon as the heaven sword, which I almost never bother getting anyway).
@@LightMindedJedi yea, I just don't get why they make you jump through all the hoops just to play the game you want to, especially in the case of sotn where it was marketed as being included, yet I'm sure there's many people who couldn't figure out how to get to it, hence the usefulness of a video like this.
Nicely durn. How is the original Rondo of Blood unlocked exactly? All the other video walkthroughs are kinda low quality. Also, is the unlocked Rondo of Blood the TG16 version?

getting into Stage 3' is only part of unlocking SotN. The other part is collecting the item above the moving tombstones after the skeleton dragon thing.
