Wow, the vintage look at 1:41 is stunning. She looks like one of those photos taken in the early 1900s and they turned them into colors. Beautiful work Irene!
This absolutely gives me Twilight vibes( iknow everyone hates it haha) but the lighting, the scene, the model she looks a lot like Victoria from the movies , the blue moodiness. I love it♥️
Irene, so much fun seeing you as a model! I really really liked your images of Morgana. Everything just comes together (color, aperture choice, teamwork with the model, posing suggestions and I am sure a lot more I don’t see). The tone of your videos is great. Straightforward, down to business, lighthearted but serious about getting great images, no lectures on the “right” way to do things, no heavy sales pitch on anything. P.S. seems to be a lot of great photographers in Calgary.
Great Video Irene, and good reminder to collaborate once in a while with other photographers to grow! Also that we should never forget photos of ourselves the Photographer! We are all so equally beautiful and worthy of dramatic moody and happy portraiture! You both were so beautiful and the location was awesome! Nice work!
Ok, first, can I just say... "Morgana" props to her Mom for giving her such a beautiful and awesome name! :) Second, Morgana is beautiful and that location was such a dream combination for portraits of her, I loved them all, most especially that last shot! The shoot with you was also fun to watch, but I kept thinking it might end up like, "I'm going to get you to dramatically fall down this cliff right here! Yes, beautiful!" LOL yikes, that was a daring and haunting location, so cool! I absolutely love your outfit for this and I'm not usually a fan of moody, dark photographs, but you rocked it and Morgana is a great photographer! It would be fun if you could swap photos and you do an edit of the pictures she took of you in your editing style and vice versa. Wonderful video, Irene! I'm looking forward to part 2 of many with you two :D
Wow, man did this happen!! This was beautiful from beginning to end love this as it was a storybook shoot. Love how when the photographer(s) steps from behind the lens and creates the magic that which they themselves are beautiful models that transform the magic of shoot in something as we see in this beautiful shoot. Irene this was awesome Morgana was beautiful in her shots as well as those she took of you. Love how you drape her lovely face and hair to bring the magic of her beauty and how she used the lamp to create some soft and pure beautiful shots of you. Beautiful Magic and a totally Beautiful shoot. Be safe lovely ladies and may you get together again to create this beautiful magical shoot.
Omg I love your photoshoot so badly, I’ve watch almost all of your video, each of the shooting was amazing and so creative, it brings me so many vintage vibes! Your work had inspired me so much, I learn to love the wild nature, the culture from the beautiful custom, the texture of human skin! I’m hoping you release more video! From Vietnam with love ❤️
Very interesting watching two model/photographers work together. Must have been really fun. Since it's Winter now all the colors were really muted except for her hair and scarf and the lamp which really stood out. It looked at times like a b&w shot with color added. I enjoyed this one very much.
Both sets of photos looked great. I liked what Morgana did with the lamp, very much like a dream state where outside and inside came together. Ans Irene's portraits were very cool. It reminded me a little of Andrew Wyeth's Helga paintings. Thank you for the video.
Oh my gosh, both of your work is brilliant and so different from each other's. I really love that you show both the final edit as well as the SOOC. It's super helpful and interesting to see what you changed in post. I wished Morgana showed some before/afters too. I'm super curious to see how her photos looked before the editing, especially the lighting for her incredible shots with the lamp!
Irene, again you were incredible but you are a great model too! I take it the red-haired model/photographer is Morgana and she did really well too. Of course, you have shot her before and I just love your style and the close-ups you do along with the type of clothes you find for your models. I am hoping that what you wore when it was time for you to model that you picked out your setup.
How exciting! I really liked how you tried to include more of the background in your pictures! It has really retro effect :) Maybe one day we could have a colab as well
Absolute amazing this video, i don't speak english, but this channel is one of the best in photography, amazing work. Excellent work of the two, they help inspire me as a photographer
When Morgana said "that looks sick" I do not know why I found it so funny, but I lost some coffee :-) Thank you for always showing the RAW images, that makes me feel so much more confident with what comes out of my camera 🙂 and mine is a "real" camera, not one of those "fake mirrorless" ones (total sarcasm for previous commentor) 🙂
I just read a story about Boudica with my kids while learning history. So, this red haired girl is just a perfect image of Boudica. I think she can stage for it. And it will be the most beautiful image of Boudica that I saw so far.
Irene, lovely work (as always). I noticed on your edited shots you sometimes widened and extended the frame, to create additional padding etc. I wondered if perhaps you would like to do a video about that, both in terms of the why and how. Thanks so much, keep up the good work and I hope you have a lovely xmas.
I never shoot portraits wider than f5, and usually at f8-11. But these look good as far as I can tell on the screen. * Not too different from a lamp I have at home. I use it as a prop in '20s vintage shoots. I have to plug mine int a wall socket.
Loved this video so much. The music and everything added an extra layer of beauty!! :). And I love both of your styles!! Question though! How do you get the lamp plugged outdoors? What did you use to plug the lamp?
What aperture do you usually choose when shooting a portrait?
Mostly the widest, f1.4
Depends on light, for bright sunlight - it can be 2.8-4.0, in other light situations - widest is preferable
1. 8 or 2.2
F 2.0 o 2.8
8
I love the mood of Morgana's pictures! So awesome. Nice to see two awesome, but different in style, photographers collab.

That's exactly my thoughts!!!! Omg, thank hou for saying that ❤️❤️
I like how Irene screams ooooh when she has found a perfect position, or angle, or lighting. I love your work, it's amazing.

Really love Morgana's images. I would never leave my photos so dark but it gives them a really cool, almost tintype look.
Yes very atmospheric, I love it
I think it looks cinematic also suits the muted light
